  1. First photo from local Classic Motorshow. Will add beter one later...
  2. Sorry for broken links... Car got new roof, doors, front fenders, hood, quite a lot of new sheet metal, fender flares, ton of bondo, paint and some MIG weld... On engine department i had some changes too... Fresh 2T engine sits nicelly there now. There were a slight delay on this project due to birth of my son, i quit smoking and got a job that keeps me away from home too much... But slowly... :no2:
  3. You can use 4S-F parts too.
  4. And it's been while this project has had any advance... But anyhow, someone tried to ask some things trough mail, but seems like he had misstyped the reply email address. So mail me back :(
  5. Check that your dizzy is turning... And look what fault code your ECU gives. T and E1 jumpered
  6. Bolts match, but bolt pattern is a bit different. Nothing that handy man couldnt make fit tho :) Edit: seems like i had a brain fart or my keyboard just hates me... Ment to say PORTS match, all bolt holes wont.
  7. the injector with hose is cold start injector. on one of those holes goes to auxiliary air valve
  8. Allso known as Scion XB http://www.scion.com/
  9. How many different ways is there to fit 5 valves in head? Most 20valves look exactly the same. But i would love to see how ferrari made their intake and exhaust PORTS...
  10. Do you get just one octane rating for fuel? higher octane->more advence->morepower low octane->less advance->less power All this by turning a knob... revolutionary :)
  11. One word: Apexi "The Power FC replaces the factory ECU and controls all engine parameters.(Off road use only, no OBD-II) Installation is as easy as replacing the factory ECU" So its a direct bolt on. http://monkeywrenchracing.com/apexi_power_...mr2_spyder.html bolt on turbokits can be found here: http://www.topsecretjpn.com/turbokits.shtml
  12. Actually it's a octane selector and it's a not the best place to adjust your timing, because it allso restricts your vacuum advance actuators movement. Found in older K-engines. 3K-H is an older bigport engine, ours were pre -75 ones. 3K-B is obviously twin carbie
  13. It's been a while when he stood on his own foot last time... :jamie:
  14. 20g to pimp my Tercel! lol ;D Maybe not... For that i would get my dream car done. My Ke26 allredy has the looks, but with that money i could get 4 cylinders more, VVT-i, 5spd tiptronic, 2xKnots on the exhaust and programmeable engine and transmission management.
  15. Nice little ride. The rims suite just fine to overall look of the car. Allmost like they were stock ones. ..that damn avatar stole 99% of my attention tho... :y:
  16. 2T engine is allso crossflow and it is as old as K-series. The 3K-R is classified to FIA rallyecar. TE47 if i remember correctly, i can check this later...
  17. I belive you have been working with these, but still i wont give up this easily :P Even if you order new rod from dealer, they might send you a substitute. Right? An for those three images i posted. they are from used parts dealer, who has dismantled the engines by own hand. But is the silver rod i posted same as your silver and gze rod? because the gze rod i posted is heaps stiffer than the silver rod i posted and i have in my garage. there are tohose same grooves on top of the rod and same shape groove that black uses, but they are even more lightened. According to this tech article, there is 8 different rods on 4A-G** engines. It says 4A-GE has truelly same rod with stronger gze, but only 9102-9106 perioid... silver has its very own number like the blackie too. http://www.club4ag.com/faq%20and%20tech_pa...ting%20ROD.html
  18. gze rod: http://www.rmf.fi/RR_kuvat/Kuvat/589.jpg]http://www.rmf.fi/RR_kuvat/Kuvat/589.jpg silvertop rod: http://www.rmf.fi/RR07to09_2_05/Kuvat/105.jpg]http://www.rmf.fi/RR07to09_2_05/Kuvat/105.jpg AE92 4A-GE rod: http://www.rmf.fi/RR_kuvat/Kuvat/222.jpg]http://www.rmf.fi/RR_kuvat/Kuvat/222.jpg And the blacktop rod is even more "grooved", than silvertop in the pic. I have on my own silver exactly same rod as on that pic.
  19. wtf? I remembered that they surelly were different length. Piston height WAS different tho... was it only skirts what were shorter? There is two different gze rods, and the weaker is same as silvertops. As for silvertop and blacktop rods have thinner spot at upper end, this differes from any other earlier rod for sure.
  20. Yes thats one way to lower compression ratio. B/T has longer and weaker rods. And piston pin to top dia is shorter. Allso combustion chamber shape is different, so it might be pita to suite B/T piston to match S/T head anyways. Only thing better in B/T is port sizes and shapes. On silver, you can use 4A-GZE rods(the stronger ones) for budet option. If one is aiming to get powah on B/T must change pistons AND rods to custom ones. Throttlebody size differes from 43mm to 45 on B/T (late silver might have the same 45mm or someone sold me B/T ones as mistake)
  21. He is no fat lady and i think he will have so much attitude, that even an redhead girl wouldnt have so much :P Oh.. an i just could not punish a girl that much i am going to abuse Flame :P
  22. lol (romutettavaksi=to be wrecked) ;) It sure is not ment for these ;) Oh when he sings... that might take a while. I'll finish the body, suspension and drivetrain before i even start to build the engine. This way i allways have chance to go back to 2T-TE if my budget crashes :hmm:
  23. Oh this day of joy... I ordered 2 sets of 43mm silvertop quads and ended having 43mm and 45mm setups, all in nice order :P
  24. Wohoo! Finally my quads came. Gotta go open the shipment and take some pics :P
  25. Allready done mate :( 4x114,3 it is.
