  1. Hi mate  been wondering how my old car has been going. :y: Love the paint job, but would love some more pics of it in the daylight, make sure you keep us all posted on the progress, can't wait to see this on the road. :y:  If you have any questions or need anything just drop me a PM. :hmm: Mark.
  2. I have since changed this setup and I am currently running no vacuum advance.
  3. They are 17x6.5 advanti racing wheels, which I believe they don't make anymore. The tyres are 205/45 and fit with no spacers or mods. Had to use stick on wheel weights, as one wheel had a tap on weight on the inside and was touching on the strut. :)
  4. Hi all my ke55 runs a 1500cc 5k motor with extractors and a full 2inch sports system with a 5-speed box. It originally was a 4k automatic. :) It's also got Pedders lowered suspension, new tailights and front parker/indicator lenses, as the originals were a little faded. Also replaced the sealed beam headlights with halogen crystal look ones. Paint and interior is all original, and I don't have any future plans for it as I just want it to look neat and fairly standard. :) :P Thanks guys for all your comments. :y: :y: :)
  5. Hey there fellow rolla owners, heres just a few pics of my daily 1980 ke55 rolla. :)
  6. Yeah, you definately need a 3k temp sensor :)
  7. Looks just like my ke20's same colour anyway. :) Nice score :)
  8. There's a 1976 ke30 2-door sedan in todays examiner autoguide for $1000 o.n.o. It says it comes with a donor 4-door ke30 aswell, but I rang up and the donor car was sold, but he still wants $1000 for the 2-door. My brother and I had a look and it's definatley not worth $1000 even though they are a little rare. It's got a bit of rust and some panel damage aswell. The donor was being towed away on a trailer when we arrived. :no2: Also there's that white ke70 with black superlites for sale up in prospect, just before you hit the slip lane to head onto the highway to launceston. It's got $2300 on it, which in my opinion is highly overpriced for a stocko with mags. :y:
  9. There's a 1978 corolla in this weeks saturday autoguide, I think it's got $750 on it. :P
  10. Someone was drifting down my street the other night on one of these bad boys. :P Not once, not twice but about 4 times. :P
  11. It'll polish up o.k :hmm:
  12. Kiah, Pedders don't list sway bars for ke20's. and Evan G I am after front and rear sway bars for my ke20 as the post says. :)
  13. Hi, I am in the process of upgrading the front sway bar and adding a rear bar to my ke20. I was looking at my ke55 and was wondering if the front sway bar would fit onto my ke20 as it has a much bigger diameter bar. And also I want to know if there are front and rear swaybars available new. :P :) Thanks!!
  14. Don't you mean 3,100rpm  if it sits at 2,100 then you have very low ratio's. :y:
  15. I wasn't at sidmouth, I went straight through to beaccy and then home again. :)
  16. So who went to beacy today?? I was there in my old ke20 bomber at about 11:30. :y: I never knew this 4x4 trail exsisted. I think I saw a couple of rollas from one side of the the old dam, but couldn't work out how to get to the other side, until I just drove around for a bit and eventually got there but it was to late and they were gone. Though I did see quite a few dirtbike riders in the process. :y: It was a bit of a shame as I was really keen for a good skid or drift in the mud and meet up with fellow rolla members. :y:
  17. I'll be there in my old ke20. Oh and what time are we meeting up out there. :y: Cheers, Mark. :y:
  18. The ke70 5-speeds have a slightly larger internal diameter bellhousing :hmm: . I found this out when I bolted up a ke55 5-speed to a 5k motor and it wouldn't go all the way onto the back of the motor (I was using the 5k flywheel and clutch though which is slightly larger). So all I did was put on the 4k clutch and flywheel and it bolted up perfect. and yes the ke70 5-speed has has the shifter positon a little further back. :y: also beng a ke55 auto, the floor pans are different then a manual ke55, so you will need to weld the auto gearbox crossmember to the manual ke70 one, so that you can bolt it in. So the answer to your question is yes, if converting a ke55 auto to a 5-speed manual then look for a ke70 5-speed box as the gearlever will come through the hole in the floor in the right spot. Cheers, Mark. :y:
  19. Very nice ke20 and I love the Bamboo paint. Same colour as mine :bash: :y:
  20. Yeah, bigports have a welch plug at the back of the head and non-bigports have a removeable plate. :y: :bash:
  21. Yeah my ke20 has inner guard lining, just down the bottom of the guard. When you take it away you can see the front of the front door.
  22. Spotted a ke30/55 coupe fully primed in Grubbs bodyworks next to coles in wellington st. :rolla: Anyone know who owns it :hmm:
  23. Hi all, just an update. I have got my 5k motor in and is running well, I took it in to Berklee today and got a 2inch sports exhaust system made and looks great. :hmm: But I'll be taking it fairly steady as I need to run the motor in. :D
  24. Will have to have a look. But there was heaps more room. :D Got my motor out again, couldn't see anything obvious. They are going to pick it up and have a look at it tomorrow. They bought me another clutch plate as mine was covered in oil. So I will have to wait and see what they find.
  25. Hey Simon, the 200mm pressure plate will fit in a ke70 box as they have a bigger bellhousing. I know this because I have an old wornout ke70 box in the shed. :)
