Well I have adjusted the tappets, and today I painted the inside of the bonnet black to match the inside of the engine bay. :( Got the guard badge and door mirror holes welded up on friday, and she's going into get painted on the 9th of Feb. :y: :( No more dodgy bogan looking primer paintwork, lol. Once she's got a fresh coat of white paint on her, I'll post up some pics. Apart from that she'll be just about up to scratch. :)

Don't you have a 5 speed box Dan?????????? :D

My brother spoke to a guy that is mates with one of the hot rod guys, and he said that the powers to be changed their minds about the cars parking on the oval itself as they have something on next week and didn't want the grass to be ruined. :D

What an absolute joke the USA day was. :y: The spot where we had to park was crap. My brother went in with his Rambler Classic but came straight out again. Woolies car park on pension day is far easier to find a spot. and your car would be still safer from getting damaged then down there today.

Hi all, just a reminder that the usa day is on at Aurora Stadium tomorrow. Just wondering if anyone will be there. Might be going myself, just have to wait and see and what time does it start does anyone know. :hmm:  Cheers.

Well I got the 3k motor and box in tonight. :y: All I need to do now is grab some oil, put the radiator in and hook up a couple of other little things and she's done. I have to rub back the inside of the bonnet at some stage, as I'm going to paint that aswell, but at least the bulk of the work is done :P

Nah just keeping the 5k and 5-speed as a spare if anything should happen to my other 5k motors. Touchwood. :y: My brother painted the engine bay today, so the 3k and 4-speed won't be to far away from being dropped in. :jamie:
-
Well the panelvan is registered and I've been driving it around. So the plan is to put in a 3k and 4-speed and give it a fresh respray and then sell it off. :jamie: Thats if I don't like it to much when it's all done, and decide to hang on to it. :y:
-
Will be painting the engine bay in gloss black, then will drop in the 3k and 4-speed. :jamie:

Well guys I think it's time for another update on the panelvan. :y: It hasn't been painted yet, but I took out the 5k and 5-speed this arvo, and will be replacing it with a 3k 4-speed. :lolcry: This is the main reason why I bought her, just for the motor and box. :jamie: So while the motor's out I'm going to paint the engine bay. Anyway I'll keep you all posted and I've decided to repaint it white again, which hopefully shouldn't be to far away from going into the spray painters. :P Here's some pics of the 5k and box just after I got it out.

Well a little more progress happened on the panelvan today. My brother had today off work, so he decided to: * Replace the drivers door with a fairly rust free one * Paint the inside of the tailgate matt black so that it matched the side paneling of the same colour (was white before and looked a little odd) ;) * Change gearknob over So nearly every day there is something happening on this beast, so please keep checking back for progress pics and stuff. :) :( The next thing to do is sand the primer coat with a fine wet 'n' dry ready for painting :no2:

Thanks guys for your replies, This helps a lot. :P ;)

Very nice  I have a ke18 windowless panelvan that I'm tidying up a bit. I love the colour, would you know the name of it as I'm considering painting mine the same. ;) Interior and engine bay pics would be awesome. :P

Hi guy's here some more progress shots of the panelvan from this weekend. ;) I managed to give the whole car a coat of primer apart apart from the drivers door as I am going to replace that with a rust free one. Passenger side door has been changed though, which I got off my Ke11 donor car. Once I have changed over the drivers door I will then give the primer a sand with a fine grade wet 'n' dry. :y: I'm thinking of painting it a glossy red instead of white, just so that it stands out a lot more. :P Anyway I'll keep you all posted on any further progress of this beast. :y:

Hi, just wondering what a complete 7ke efi setup would be worth. This would include the manifold, throttle body, injectors, wiring loom, ecu, distributor and coil and air intake piping. Basically everything needed to get it running. :jamie: :D cheers.
-
Thanks guys, :| My plans are firstly to prep the body and give it a complete respray in it's original white as the inside of the dash and down the A pillars are white. :D

Would anyone know how many ke18 panelvans came to Australia??????? This is the only one I've seen down here in Tas. :D Heres some shots of her. :|

G'day everyone, I not so long ago bought a Ke18 2 door windowless panelvan from a member on here, so I thought I'd start a small project thread. :bash: So far I have swapped the silver wheels for a set black ones from a mazda 626 which I had on a ke20 parts car in the backyard * Replaced the pitman arm with a new one which I managed to get from Pabs. * Pulled out the original NOISY banjo diff and put in a complete borgwarner diff out of a ke11 parts car which I also have. ( I can hear what my passenger is saying now) :D * Repainted the inside back part matt black again to freshen it up. * Moved tacho from under dash to the top of steering column. * Replaced a guard with one that has less rust and have nearly completed sanding the whole car back ready for a fresh respray. I will get some pics soon as the progress comes along. Cheers Mark. :|

Looks great Ben  :jamie: Just get a good quality gloss black spray can and spray inside the wheel arches, will make it look neat and clean. ;) If you need any help just drop me a pm and I'd be glad to help. ;)
