  1. Hi guys just wondering if anyone who has converted their wagon to efi has photos of how they've done their system? ideally i'd like to mount it all under the car. i don't think there's any way to do it without a lift pump & surge tank unfortunately. if anyone who's done it sees this thread, i'd love to hear from you ! cheers.
  2. shit mate. at least she lives to fight another day. i prefer no lip to be honest. still a killer car on all accounts though.
  3. Buffed her yesterday. Came up quite nicely. Not the greatest paintjob but looks neat and tidy.
  4. well i still havent buffed it. pretty busy at the moment but heres some pictures. still need to figure out how to mount the chrome trim on the bonnet. all the bolts sheared off when i removed it. sorry about the shocking quality of the pictures btw. wish i'd taken some more pics of the painting process. and heres one of my jzx81. managed a 12.5 the other day but its got an 11 in it.
  5. its been a while.. since the last update i have painted the old panno in snow white. that was an absolute ʞ©$ɟer. i don't think i will paint a car again any time soon. started re-panneling the interior trims with finished cedar to replace the factory cardboard trims, looks quite good but need more cash, the cedar is quite expensive. i had a new rear seal put in the gearbox which it turns out you have to disasemble the entire box to get to it. one of the shafts in the box were worn so had that replaced while it was apart. no more slippy clutches. also put a new motor in. super healthy and good, carby is a bit rubbish though. allllso, wired in an ebay central locking kit with tailgate pop, it spins people out to see such an old car with central locking haha. remote is a bit crap though. what can you expect from ebay though i guess. however, the real news is, i have picked up a sr20de, box, ecu, loom when i found out jordan was making mounting kits for the ke30's. sooo i got a hydraulic pedal box + the mounting kit off him. pretty excited about that. i just want it to be efi & smooth. i will attempt to hook up the air con system too. i want it to be a nice comfy daily. got a set of ca18 seats for it too. anyway, i still need to buff the paint, and once i do i will upload some photos. does anyone know where i can get a 3-colour pinstripe made? i'd like to replicate the one that was on it before i stripped it for paint.
  6. ah sweet i'll be happy if its around the 300 mark, just going to run the stock diff as i have a spare lying around and don't mind babying it. thats great thanks for the advice man i'm sure i'll shoot you a few questions along the way if you don't mind
  7. ah great i will give him a yell when its all in. you don't remember roughly what you paid do you? i have both the sr and ke tailshafts. i was just planning on using the stock diff, i'm not putting the motor in for performance- just want efi really. you don't fancy selling the tailshaft from when you were using the stock diff by any chance?
  8. beautiful 35 mate. i picked up a sr20de for my panel van the other week and have been planning things in the meantime. who did you get to do your tailshaft? i rang veem the other week but couldn't really get a straight answer from them.
  9. chucked the old carb back on. its pretty amazing how much they choke the 4k up. better to be choked and running though i guess
  10. definately not a vac leak. yeh altezza that sounds like my issue. mate has a dgv i might try my hand at rebuilding. gotta get this thing reliable again its doing my head in.
  11. i checked for that with a can of degreaser and didnt find anything, but i'll grab a can of carby cleaner and double check tonight mate
  12. hi guys have what i believe to be a weber dfv. had it going ok, but now its developed an issue where if you rev it, it will rev then the motor will stall when the revs settle. you can get it to idle by fiddling with the throttle, but then once you rev it again it will no doubt stall. any ideas?
  13. i'm interested in having a motor rebuilt, anyone got any recomendations? there was a guy who used to advertise in the quokka 3/4k rebuilds for 500 bucks. does anyone have his details by any chance? any experiences, thoughts etc, post em up

  15. if you're not gonna buy it pm me their details and asking price man, i know a guy looking for a bunky
  16. f@$ken best wags ever
  17. just pick up a second handy for like 20 bucks bro!
  18. i got hit the other day by a multanova got it about a week later. a mate of mine got slugged well over 45 by a multanova at night time and they came for his car within a day or so. i would say you're under 45 if you havent had your car taken. either way prepare to get f@$ked by the long dick of the law. revenue raising bullshit!
  19. 4age for reliability and probably more power than a turbo 4k. bit more messing around with mounting and converting to efi, but at least you wont end up with some bastardised carby turbo setup that will more than likely run like shit and only give you about 20rwhp more than stock.
  20. no real news just a couple photos of my mates new daily
  21. 4agze will get a 70 sideways no worries. honestly if you have to ask all these questions, you're up for either; a) a project that never runs; or b) a project that costs you well over $10k, and is sub-par compared to something you could have bought for the same amount of money.
  22. i don't think an r33 box would suck 50 hp mate. sure its bigger and physically heavier, but its not exactly like you're going from a t-series to a 9 inch. the gears and synchro's themselves don't make up the extra 30 odd kg that the box weighs.
  23. pretty sure the rb20de, rb20det & rb25de has the "little" or box, commonly known as a mf5 box which is behind the stock rb30e in r31's and vl's. the rb20det one is a bit stronger by a bees dick, i think it has slightly different synchro's in it. but yes, they are pretty much the same. similarly, the mx7 (vl turbo box) is slightly weaker than the rb25det box. rb25det has the larger box, with either push(r33) or pull(r34) type clutch. internally same as the early rb26dett boxes, obviously they have a transfer case. also same as the vg30dett box, however these have remote shifters. if anyone knows better, feel free to correct me, i'm *fairly* sure thats right though.
