  1. coilovers in, brakes on, rims and tyres on, new engine mounts too. few goodies going in over the next couple weeks too.
  2. amad that is awesome mate!!
  3. thats cool man. where'd you get the venetians
  4. been a while since i've updated. i havent really done sweet ʞ©$ɟall to be honest, just been driving it every day and not for a while there i was stoked not having to work or spend money on it. though i have amassed a small plethora of bits and peices. anywho, for pictures and progress as it sits; put a tacho in finally. still need to mount the boost gauge somewhere though. and a sneakpeak of the something that hints to the biggest change on the horizon though i regret not going for 15x9's, i think i could squeeze them in..
  5. ahh i don't really check the w.a section. we should organise another cruise though!
  6. i do have a cas and a couple sets of coils but i was planning on keeping them incase i ever step up to a stand alone ecu. i'll have a look in my spares box and see if i have more than one cas but i have a feeling i gave it to the guy who bought the d.e and one of the broken d.e.t's
  7. I dropped my old diff and the r31 diff to Phil purser. He called me up a week later and said Marty, your diff is ready. So I picked it up, bought new shocks, rotors, calipers and bent new brake lines and put it in. That's how you shorten a diff properly
  8. Pretty stoked, managed a 13.2@102mph with a 1.8 60ft. Hooked up hard and went well. I need a tach tho, was just guessing thr rpm. Will post the slip tomorrow.
  9. Thanks mate. I should have run it n/a I guess. And I nearly gave up on the det conversion after getting burnt on those two motors. Never thought I'd spend so much on a corolla haha.
  10. will be running down the 1/4 on the 24th. i reckon it'll crack a 13 at low 100mph probably.
  11. do you guys know if anyone is making 4kc rocker cover stickers ?? i remember talk about it years ago but not sure if it ever eventuated. i want two for my sr20 please !!
  12. sorry to hear about the should man thats a bit rough. i still havent sorted it, who did you get to make the cables up ? i got made redundant again unfortunately, and my new job pays fairly poorly. will be qualified in a few months so its not too bad. but spending pretty much has to stop on the old girl at the moment. though i'm thoroughly enjoying having a turbo car again to be honest. also excited about the brake package, it needs it pretty soon.
  13. Long time no update. Turfed the hilux diff as it was too wide and I needed the cash. Should have kept it but oh well. Wound up getting a r31 3.9 LSD cut down, new callipers rotors and lines. Diff sucked a bit of power out of it so I thought may as put a turbo on it. Pulled the motor to tap it for an oil return and found crank end float. So turfed the motor, bought a det. Put it in and it knocked. Turfed that one and got a new one. That one knocked too. Got to paint the bay as well. Long overdue Pretty over it at this stage. Perseverance is key. Got a new one from a wrecker with warranty. Ran fine. Had to run it with de dizzy or otherwisethe car needed a rewire. That's cool though not really a problem unless I want to run big boost which I don't. Then I got Z32 AFM Nismo 740cc injectors Apexi front pipe Shiney dump A 2871r which turned out to not be a 2871r, but still does the job And a nistune. Makes 227rwhp at 1 bar. I was a bit underwhelmed by the figure but its mighty fun ! And my suspension gear arrived too :) Basically a copy of chestikophs ae86/rx7/Honda brake and coilovers upgrade. Look forward to putting it all in. It certainly needs it.
  14. ahah this is evolving into a pretty hectic race car ! much inspiration has been gathered from your thread.
  15. i wish i hadn't ordered from AJPS, i just spoke to a place called suspension concepts in NSW that have them on the shelf and ready to go for a couple bucks more. i could have had everything a month ago.
  16. ahaha thanks once again guys. today i cleaned the stock master cyl, it was full of mud and rust, and put it back in with a bit of a bleed. when i went to bleed the rears, we noticed that the brakes were dragging even without any pressure in the system. turns out the handbrake mechanism had been over adjusted on the new calipers. whether or not it has anything to do with the paj MC being cactus i'm not sure. but it looks like there were a couple of issues at hand. the burning smell turned out to be diff oil leaking from one axle, combined with the rears dragging so hopefully ive remedied that as well, i'm taking it to final drive tomorrow to hopefully sort out the vibration & whine that it has. if its still leaking tomorrow i'll get new seals put on the axle. but once bled, even with the stock MC and the much larger r31 rear discs, it brakes better than it ever has. surprisingly well infact. i can't imagine what it'll be like with the rx7 calipers and new paj MC.
  17. these are all some excellent tips. greatly appreciated. some points to note: - mc was a used unit, i didnt realise you could get them new off ebay for so cheap. i will order one now to rule that out. - i will adjust the booster rod and see how that goes this weekend. - i have ordered rx7 4 pot calipers on ae86 coilovers which were meant to arrive this week after a month of waiting, i found out yesterday it'll be another fortnight until i see them. not very happy with either communication or service by AJPS so far. i wonder if i should fit my stock MC and see how it goes compared to the pajero one while i wait for it to arrive?
  18. Yeah it was drum rear before. Booster VAC line hasn't been touched but it does feel like its unboosted. Where's this valve located ?
  19. stock ke30 brakes up front. new pads and rotors. stock r31 skyline brakes in the rear (discs) new pads, rotors and calipers. i just read this thread on toymods: http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/tech-conversions/25511-diy-pajero-brake-master-cylinder-upgrade.html i used that exact master cylinder, but used a blanking plug for one of those ports for the front brakes, instead of the telstar banjo fitting. wonder if thats got anything to do with it. wouldnt have thought so.
  20. so i have a ke38, sr20, just put a r31 diff that i had cut down with new brakes. put in the paj master cylinder at the same time as the diff. the pedal feels very hard and the brakes don't seem to work as well as before. the rears lock up first when the brakes are stomped on and after a long drive tonight it smells a little like burning. the front rotors are warm/hot and the rear rotors are very hot. possibly master cyl is cactus ? rears getting boosted alot more than the fronts?
  21. Saw a 2 door ke70 in aspen today !! Te72?? Was beige too haha
  22. smashed another uni joint so i picked up a 4.3 lsd hilux diff with s14 rotors and calipers. going to attempt to fit it without getting it shortened (1410mm) hopefully my 15x7 +10 wheels will fit with a roll of the rear guard/lips. i think it will just fit, might need to go a bit skinnier than the 205/60's though as they baloon a little. however, nothing will happen for a while as I'm off to the states for a month on tuesday
  23. ahhhhh thats awesome. thanks for pointing that out, i had read & seen that before actually, just forgot whos thread it was on haha. i really like how you haven't butchered the front end to get the cooler in. it looks heaaaaaaps better than a big ol' dirty front mount hacked into the grill. i think i'll eventually put a turbo on, once i get a decent diff & some larger brakes.
  24. how did you manage to squeeze that front mount in and retain the bonnet release/rad support ?
