Hey all, just wondering what the legal engine cc increase is? my ke30 has the stocko 1166cc. Would it be legal without a mod plate for with a 5k? 14xxcc? I know its legal with the 4k to 5k. unsure bout 3k.. can't find on rta site or i am blind!

I have used 10mm full chrome body mould strips. The hardest part was fitting them into the old hard seal but they now look a million bucks! Got them from supercrap. Also did the gutter strips in it too! Pull out old strips. Clean all openings of dirt etc. Cut to estimate length/size(makes it easier to play with) Remove sticky film Poke it in gently. Yes it may be hard with out damaging it. :P Next hard part is putting the original corner bits in. hahaha goodluck! Supercrap also stock those generic body strips. 15mm thk black with chrome edging. Also comes with the chrome tips for the ends.

Sounds like that will be the 1st thing i might do anyway. The carb did look abit dirty a while ago when i changed the airfilter. Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

Ok we'll see what happens atm. Its not that bad, Only more noticable on long distance driving. But i think its getting worst. If that helps. Might hunt for a electronic dizzy :)

Hey, havent been on here much but worth a try for a question. I own a ke30 with the stocko powerhouse of a 3k motor with the 4sp behind it. Its my DD. So i need it going smooooth as my 4B Suzy is out of order atm.. Now at half throttle she seems to be running abit rough on the road, as in flat spot, bit of smoke (only seen at night in other peoples headlights). Anything before half throttle is normal, anything after half is secondarys? So its the normal whoa feel the power kick..Well slightly. :rolls: Been on a 600km round trip last night.. The flatspot dissappears sometimes if i give a kick flat to the floor and back. Would it be timing?Points? I don't know much about oldschool tuning/timing as i've always had efi! (I'm mechanical minded though) Heres a piccy for a looky of Lola and for brag sakes :P

:party: Found the blue ke30 :dance: Found these little gems still on it!! The chrome strips run along the tops of the door panels. I was thinking wtf hang on a minute..I don't have those!!! Woo hoo!!, Didnt even know they came out with them! The am/FM!!! radio is out of a RA40. Dad told me when he had his ke55 they fit perfect and look original. Yet to see if it works. Mine is original am radio, its driving me mental. Also got the rear springs out of it for my suzy modifiying... Still has alot of old ke30 dash(not ke55 dash) interior parts also. I'm still after the chrome rails that run on the gutters though..

I vote NO RWD KE CARS. FWD Hatches only. You really want KE's to get even rarer then they are now!! The Gemini's ate all the stock ones up! (except for the tabouli ones) The Kingswood series ate all the kingswoods up! Farout. NO NO NO :party:

Yeah my dads ke55 had a 4K then he went 5K.. So i thought mine would be 4K.. Also looked in redbook and it said 1978 Mod after november was 4K..Is this when the Ke55's started? Jeez there is so many combinations, Interior, exterior,motors etc etc. :no2: Mine has the same as Ke55 dash as well. Neat as. 1 crack only, and its not that bad.. Dashmat coming soon.. Oh and Jip.. By coincidence mine is called Lola the canola corolla haha

These are some pics. Cleaned her right up. Found out the drivers seat has been swapped with the passenger side...The passenger side is worn and ripped...Need a replacement same style.. The interior actually doesnt look that bad cleaned up. the brown is growing on me. Also need all 4 plastic black handles as all were broken! Cleaned out all the nrma stickers all over the place. Found out she has the original dealer sticker( 6 number phone number) And has the original dealer plate surrounds and old style number plates! Interior: Cleaned up the outside also, got rid of the old perished mudflaps. Straightened up the ariel and cheecked over the car for rust and also got to pop out a ding in the fr right guard.. Man these are strong steel. It made a massive POP and she was almost as good as new :no2: But there is still a fair bit of damage.. All only surface dints etc. Oh and rear bar is twisted, Bad.. Exterior: And me and my vacumm. I think it may be older :y: What you's think? Also found out that she is a 3K!! I really thought it was a 4K. She went like a pearler once warmed up!! NEEDS: 1 Seat. Doesnt matter which side as long as it's the same style!! 1 Ke30 Straight Rear bar!!

Hello all. I'm new here but not new to cars. My dad has had a Baby Blue all original ke55, One of the nicest ones i have ever seen and sold it not long ago..For 2K :no2: At the time i would have bought it but i didnt know what i was doin because i had a 98civic coupe etcetc. But that is now gone! And i also have a lifted and locked swb Baby blue Suzy sierra on 33's....Heavily modded.. Some details on my new ol' rolla before my whole life story comes out.. 1978 4sp man KE30 Sedan. I Pick her up today at 9AM!!!! Bog stock, 1 owner for 30 yrs! Poo Mustard yellow, brown poo interior 30yrs worth of dents... She will be fixed up. Thinking full respray maybe blue tinge cream, Black interior. 5K mtr, lowered and some 16-17" simmons..I want to keep her mainly stock. So keep am radio, put cd player somewhere else etc etc. Toughen her up abit. I'm over ricers. She will be no performance car, no drifting etc. Just a daily. What do you rolla junkies think??
