Hi guys, I have recently bought another Ke55. I have stripped everything out of the boot and I STILL get a noise when I am driving. It starts when there are any bumps or inconsistancy in the road and can be heard most when driving at crawl to low speed. It has a dull base sound like a tennis ball bumping around in the spare tyre hold. It is present from the time I drive off and is consistant with something loose that only wobbles or makes noise when there are bumps of any sort. Any suggestions would be most appreciated as I am going crackers trying to figure this one out!

Hi all, I have a 1981 Ke55 and I am in the process of doing it up. I am keen to understand what I am legally able to do to the engine or what I can replace it with, without having to get the ol girl engineered. Has anyone got any factual information on what sort of motor I can put in? Any help would be much appreciated. Twitch.

Ok, so I searched Tappet so it was really general and I only found 1 write up, it was the clearances for the tappets, so I guess I need a little more info, what side is what, do I need to turn the motor to a certain point and how, how do I recognise the difference in intake and exhaust tappets, and about the wiki oil pressure, what do I do about that?

Hi all, Can anyone walk me through the correct way to check/adjust the tappets on my 4K engine and what measurement, they are a little noisy. Does the engine need to be at a certain point and if so then how do I manually turn it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, any suggestions on why it is so rattly on start up, it rattles for roughly 3-4 seconds and then goes away. Thanks all,

I'm not sure it may have been, I thought it was a midnight blue job, it had 4 spoke chrome mags and was published in around mid to late 1990's. I would know it in an instand if I saw a picture though. Sorry I can't be more specific.

Hi all, I have been searching for AGES to find information and details about a dark blue Ke 30 or Ke55 corolla sedan featured in either Fast Fours and Rotaries or Hot Fours and Rotaries. It was featured about 10 or so years ago. I have been searching far and wide but I can't seem to find any information on it. Anyone able to help? Regards, Paul

Thanks for that, I wasn't sure whether they would or not, I know the Ke55's are larger, I just thought with the tail lights and chrome surrounds of the Ke30, it would end up the same overall size.

Hi guys, I am new to the rollaclub, but not new to the Corolla scene. However, I have just purchased a 1981 Ke55, it has the flat plain tail lights stock standard and I was wanting to change them over to the Ke30 chrome surrounded rounded tail lights. Can anyone tell me whether the Ke55 shell will support it, or whether the Ke30 has a slightly different shell mould? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks - Paul
