  1. its looking great dude, you have done an awesome job in such a short time. What are the engine plans?
  2. any updates on this one yet? how far off is the rust removal and paint? Looking forward to seeing the end result mate
  3. mine would be my legnum =] twin turbo v6, it only went up to 180km/h on the speedo, but i did wind it past that, gosh i miss that car.... I really need boost :hmm:
  4. It looks like my car will be on the road for this one =] so I may very well rock up to this one
  5. Na you are right man... plus I just keep reminding myself how ruff of a ride big wheels give you. so I will probably stick with 15's they seem to be the better option
  6. yea you are probably right =] I might stick with my plans to get some 14 or 15 inch super lights =] yea the car needs to be lowered sits way to hi for my liking
  7. Well i looked at them and I don't think its the case. Iv decided to stick with my old RWC and he didnt want me to get it engineered. So I have been doing alot of work on my car today =] I made a couple of discoveries :| 1. My car actually has already been upgraded from 4x110 to the 114.3 woooooo :hmm: 2. The front end suspension seems to be pretty much all new  so i am going to be throwing out my rubbish 13inch wheels and look at getting some 16's :( so this has put me into a good mood and a very hopefull mood!! Wooooo
  8. Yea plenty of camping grounds in apollo bay, I would suggest the big one in between Apollo bay and Marengo, Cheap and large =] and should be good, this will be my first ever cruis =] never got along to any of the victoria VR4 ones, when I had my legnum, so am really looking forward to this one :hmm:
  9. there are only 3 engineers here, and one only does trucks and this guy is the cheapest, and due to the laws, I have more than 10% increase of power so now I need to get it engineered unless someone can tell me that it should be ok to put a 5k in, but I am going to book my car in for another RWC today I think somewhere else
  10. Ok so I should definatly be there :hmm: Been a bit slack on this thread, but I will be joining in with a twin carbed 5k, the noise factor is going to be amazing... I remeber a WRX cruise down in apollo bay one day, and that was extremely loud!! But I am also hoping to have my car sc/tc by this time as well, but I spose we will see how I go with that one
  11. So I got back from the engineer yesterday, this is going to really hit the pocket :hmm: he said he was not happy with the quilaty of the engine mount welds, he said it will have no problems in passing, but he will need to do some work and testing brakes and suspension and what not. So I'm most likely looking at 1000+ really did not budget for this  oh well It needs to be done I spose so I may as well do it
  12. Called an engineer and he said it is a base $800 for an engineers report for a 5k in a ke20!! I told him that it seemed a bt steep and he said that he only makes $150 on it, where does the rest of my money go?????
  13. ok so I found out that my wheels have spacers on them after taking them off :blinks: so now to pass rwc I need to find some stock wheels asap :jamie:
  14. love it dude and I'm going to ask the same question... what is the go with the ma61 ahaha
  15. GJM85 - yea mate I recon I will keep it and honestly I don't think it will be very hard to pass at all. Once that is done, there is not a whole lot to do for me to pass a rwc so, once i pass that my car will be registered within the next couple of weeks :jamie:
  16. Yea I am thinking of getting it done somewhere else, But he did say that if there was an engine brought out in this size around the same year then its aloud to pass :blinks: so if anyone knows these details that would be great :blinks: Evan G - the only reason why he thought it was different was that the engine mounts had been rewelded.. I told him that the car had been taken back to bare metal and this was most likely just a pre-caution measure, but he didnt believe me :jamie: oh well if i need to take it to an engineer then, i will and he may just laugh =] E70van - na mate wasnt me, i live in ballarat and car isnt registered yet so no driving 'legally' for me at the moment haha
  17. Yea my mate just told me to have his air bags in the back of his merc engineered, it was a base $800 and most likely alot more!!!!!!! no wonder engineers make money :jamie: i think I'm ready to palm this car off :blinks:
  18. oh bugger... I hope an engineers certificate wont be too much :jamie:
  19. ah sweet sounds better to me, I want to make sure it is done properly I spose I got my car back from a RWC and they have told me that I need to get an engineers cert for the 5k in a ke20 o_0 is this true?????
  20. well my car may or may not be ready, so I'm still on the maybe list :\ but my car is going in today for RWC so depending on how that goes I may be able to give you an actual yes or no
  21. these are mine bad picture I have no information on these wheels I just know that they are ROH 13 x 5.5 and i honestly hate them... they are in the worst condition as well, so new wheels eventually
  22. maybe it was 260hp?? as that would be around 191kw which might just be a little bit more believable
  23. My car goes in for another RWC today guys, so fingers crossed and it passes so i can finally get it on the road, and then start with the modding. I wont be able to lower it before getting it registered, so once it is registered I will lower it, and I'm guessing that this is just a matter of flipping the leafs yea? Also last night i noticed that the front has new springs, so I'm not to sure if anything else was changed in the process, so this is something I may take some photos of and see if anyone on here may know if it has or hasnt been. I am also unsure if my PCD has been changed, so i will suss this out today after work. Before I buy new wheels. Also I am wanting to get new filters for my webbers and I saw that uni filter have these funky filters that replace both webber filters with one larger one http://www.uniflow.com.au/contents/en-us/d136.html Has anyone had anything to do with these before? they are a fair bit more expensive than 2 400mm webber filters but if they are a better buy then I may buy one and see how it goes :jamie:
  24. Loving the height of the rear, makes me realise that my car is sitting way to high haha! But loving the car :jamie:
  25. Oh Happy birthday!! Hope its a great day :jamie:
