Hi all, Well the 5K is in the KE17 and after some initial difficulties with a gearbox that had the shifter 'waaaay' back I got myself another k50 with a more suitable shifter position. My problem now is that the 'normal' k50 doesn't seem to be engaging the clutch? The pedal just falls through! :( I have been reading around and always read that the two should match up no worries... Just some thoughts.. Just want to get it on the road already :D

I thought that the shifter in the 5speed was like 150mm further down? So i figured a new hole needed to be cut for that.. Not shore if a K50 or T50 transmission have a difference, also not shore what tranny i have :lolcry:..

Cheers Guys :( Well made a lil list of things to be done :)... - 5K - 5 Speed - Want to keep the center console orig but will have to customize it to take the new 5 speed shifter :D - White walls - Lower it all round n get the front sway bar lol... ( feels like a boat up and down the dandy mountains :)) - Fender Mirrors Fix - Wipers! ( lol been fun in the rain with no wipers ;) ) :D Suggestions of suspension places in Melb that would know their way round the lil sprinter? If anyone has fender mirrors for it? (there was a really good pair that i missed here on rollclub :D Cheers, Amar

yeah, they said so. Well i'm just waiting on the other cars of the family to get fixed so mine isn't needed and i shall start taking it apart n clean and prepare the new engine.. lol for a while there lost the inspiration :) .. getting it back slowly :D ideas flowwing to the head :) hahaha.. ill just speak to them. Have you guys engineered your 5K's? or no need coz not selling?

Well i have spoken to people at Vic roads.. They didn't want to hear a word of it. I told them about the minimal difference in the hp and torque but they said i would still need to get the engineers certificate. :) lol told them that they would not even notice if i changed the engine over.. there was an awkward silence :) .. neways does anyone know how strict the engineer is going to be if i cut the tunnel to fit the 5 speed? And if they will even care about the 5K? Amar

Hi all, Been told you need an engineering certificate if putting in a 5k and 5speed into a ke17 sprinter? Just wondering how would i avoid this and if it really is necessary? Its a bigger motor but i didn't think that the 1.5 would make a difference. Thanks

Well got my self some 13's but the rears have a larger ofset then the front ... ;) .. the rears scrape... will have to "stretch" them now :D.. hopefully that will give me enough play.. as for lowering.. should i just do blocks? i had blocks in my ke55 and it was way to hard, would get like stomach cramps! wanted to ask.. the tyre dude said that stretching is dangerous .. :S thoughts? AWESOME: got ma self a 5K and a 5 speed. :D nowww my dilemma choping the tunnel for the 5 speed? worth it? i have the original center console and don't want to loose it .. and just one other thing :S haha ( should just ask in the forum but .. ) do k50 or t50 make a diff when instaling? lol i remember the chadstone rolla .. lol ma mum said that was cute HAHHA.. ;) its a good feeling ey? seeing another rollla .. well i got the rego :D ... lol now its only small things to finalize :D... got most of the chrome on.. runs great.. now to looking into whitwalls and slaming it.. :D also am thinking of getting some nice jap racing looking rims.. probly not bigger then 13inch, and i tink they say "stretching" the tyre...? what you guys rekon? VERY pleased with how she keeps the temp on one level. New radiator n thermo n all that saved me :D ... been for big drives but i blew the headunit amp just the other day sooo :D .. great to drive..

well its taken me a while over the holidays but got most of the work done.. soon to get rego.. I'm really happy with her. Kinda pissed i didnt keep an up-to date log on here but just didnt find time to sit down. Well I'm only missing one peice if anyone could help.. that plastic cover that comes over the parcel shelf, covers the fuel tank pipes? here are some pictures.. ( just wish i knew the history behind the car some more..)

Well, i know its been ages since i have done anything on the rolla site but alot has happened over the year.... The sprinter is coming along nice... done the paint.. ( that took a while ;) $) bare metal respray in white with blue pearl. :yes: The engine runs nice, gave that a good clean.. did what needs to be done to the head.. for now left it standard with but shaved the head some more .. it surprised me how well it goes.. The WHOLE interior is actually being done at the moment ... should have er back to me before new yr. put windows in, lil bits and peices of chrome, sound system and hopefully a lil sticker for rego on the window.. :y: Summer should b fun :y: FINALLLYYYY... Some pictures to help see what i mean :P. Get more when the interior is done. And of the engine.. all i got is clips ( how do i chuck up videos?) just under attachments? My mates celica n my sprinter .. What you guys n girls think? first resto for me... lol was suposta be done a while back but happy with the progress

The ke55 had a fuel leak from the fuel pump the fuel pump that esculated like crazy while i was driving her. went through the firewall and couldn't save it because it went "into" the dash ..

Well just signed up on the website soo :S but anyway just a quick look at what I'm doing . I have done more just don't have the photos.. here is my KE55 that I had ... R.I.P lol
