Well the fronts on mine are stock rx3 steelies.. but the rears have not be widened but have had the offset changed. so they have a deep dish. Same rim width as restorer :) 5.5 The 'new' rims are superlights buuuut they will need some machining to fit.. fml.. in the process of deciding if ill fit em or not.. They stick out too much and I don't want to touch the fenders :S .. Here is the foto of the superlights.. they are 13x7 , 0 offset.

haha lucky man, i should be getting into some more shit now that i got it lower and getting some mags to stick out :P haha yeah some people don't get the plates.. i rekon quite easy.. lol didnt want to be one of those plates that u just don't understand haha I did the prep work my self.. but got the panel beaters to do the good stuff, they did more 'prep' work (fixed mine up).. Worked on the car today .. the 32/36 is acting up but should sort it out by tomoro hopefully.. trying to 'clean' up the car things that have been pissing me off while driving, little noises, looks etc :)getting some new 13inch superlights that will stick out like champs :) finally getting the car where i want it! :D (never ends)

Cheers guys Well that cruize was a while back :P .. but yes, now that I think about it, lots has changed. About the front honestly do not know what is going on.. because i replaced the strut tops with ke20 ones, that should have been 2 inches or something annnnd i got the spring re-set.. haha .. Saw what Jordain is doing ... :| great work.. would loose ma shit if i saw that thing randomly .. The sway bar think ill just cold bend it straight onto the LCA.. Like get rid of that lil 'kink' towards the end.. Haha possibly the best compiment .. iPhone background.. my work er is done! :) Nah Jono.. run the plate mate. Got pulled over and fined 130 :P .. sent a letter talking shit aboutre-chroming the bar n shit but noooo :P. Hi all.. well things i have done.. Lowered the lil shit! still not low enough but i think for practicality reasons will leave it where it is. New shocks all round :) Messed around with the front grill look.. Like (Considering looking for those front lips.. opinions?) Got a 32/36 that will be going in today tomoro .. waiting on the K&N filter from uk .. Tonight chooped a 320i bmw.. :) (the older one) Things to do.. get 13x7 superlights and wrap them in like 145 tires so it doesnt scrape.. Fix sway bar thats fouling on calipers Move the driving seat back ... .. Heaps more just cnt memba :P Forever a project..

Hi, I have a 5K, 97% sure that its high compression as it ping with 91 fuel (lol) it has extractors and a 1n 3/4 inch exhaust and i plan on getting some decent carby or carbies on it.. Now my question is, what specs should I have the cam to if I want it to be 'mild' Mild meaning a bit lumpy and nothing crazy RPM haha .. also keeping the hydro? cheers

Well just some pictures and a clip of my KE17. . . Painted the area behind the grill black and while i was doing that decided that the car looks tough without the front bar/rego/grill so driving it around like that.. the cops don't seem to mind. The rims are of a Mazda RX3 I think and the rears have been widened so .. :D Any-way here are the photos and the link..

Well.. I'm getting back into working on the car after some 'laziness' on my behalf. The car is a KE17 with a 5K and a 5speed.. and now for the questions... - The front setup... I have a whiteline swaybar that I need to put in but the question is should I be doing the KE20 springs (cut) without the front leaf or just putting the sway bar in and getting the leaf re-set.. How stiff are the KE20 springs? I have read about it but don't want to wreck the ride comfort. With that said i do want to lower the front at least 2 inches. - Diff.. now that it has a 5k and 5 speed.. first gear seems like its from a truck lol .. great accel but wouldnt mind a different diff ratio and possibly a LSD? What fits? lol without any major work? - Center console.. Can anyone help me find this 'Toyota Crown' clock that fits the previous shift hole perfectly? - Venetians? Do they have to be custom made? Because i havent found any for it yet.. - And finally .. should i put fender mirrors on? just wondering what rollaclub people think.. :D Thanks for the help..

Think I managed to work out a deal for the mirrors, thanks Taz. (can not believe I missed that :S) The dizzy is point and the induction for now is just the stock 5k carb. I have the twin 3k-b carbs getting rebuild and re-jetted. will do a photo-shoot when the car is finished :D Cheers

Thanks Abbott, I bought the 5k, rebuild, new pistons, double row timing chain, balanced, the head had work to it.. extractors etc.. and the 6k, its goes higher. Was pleased to see how happy it was to rev :D Thanks Felix for making it that easy for the cops lol.. now they don't even have to go to my build thread.. :( think they might have bigger fish to fry... i hope. Lets say it was 92kph for my license sake.. (prob was, the speedo is out) Cheers.

So some progress has been made :) The 5k is in with a 5 speed to match !! :) slowly clearing up that little list made earlier. The sprinter goes surprisingly fast with the 5k. Honestly was not expecting such an improvement. :D The torque is sooo nice compared to the previous engine :P Things left to do. Complete the center console - I hear a toyota crown clock fits in there? I saw Harvie had done it.. looks clean :D Fender Mirrors - Below is a photo of the ones i would like. i saw they were on sale on rollaclub before, but havent come across them recently. Hope the video works well.. haha love the noises :D

Well, I did get around to it yesterday and it seems that the cable adjustment works. Will not know until I actually start the car but lots of mix and match going on. accel, choke, heater fans etc need to be made to work but its all fun.. :D Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the feedback :) I am using the 5K flywheel and clutch. This set up worked with the old 5speed that was bolted onto the engine. Therefore what i have is a 5K with a 5 speed and in between are 5K goodies. This makes me think that the problem (hopefully) will be a simple clutch cable adjustment...Considering its going into a smaller car etc etc this sounds like the biggest possibility. I am going to work on the problem this arvo, so will update it tonight..

Not sure what the 5k was originally in, but the previous owner had it in a ke30. The thing is that the 5speed that i got with it worked and I don't see why it shouldnt now. Ill look into all the above sugestions, lucky i do have the old clutch and all that. A bit of mix and match i guess. I will write my findings at the end of the day :P

No i didnt adjust the cable.. Seemed like it was too loose but will try that tomoro.. lol didnt even think about that one :S. No,the flywheel n clutch are from the 5k. Also, I was looking at the diameters of the 'shaft' that comes out of the gearbox and there was a difference of a couple of mm between the two.. Just wondering what this means.. Thanks for the advice
