  1. Good old phone internet is playing silly buggers, so I will have to upload them on a computer when I get a chance, can't wait till this place gets 4g !!
  2. Staryed playing around with my head lights this morning just so I could figure out all the wiring, this is what they look like on high beam, on low beam its just the two outside lights with 100watt hallogens.. one day ill change it around so that all 4 lights run low beams and all 4 run 8000k high beams, at the moment the high beams are 8000k on the outside and 3000k on the inside, almost looks green with the mix of colors in person lol.. I've cut the radiator support out and I'm making a removable one and a new mount for the 52mm radiator, its going to be fun trying to line the headlights and grill up after this but in sure its nothing a few cable ties can't fix lol I've discovered that the car has a slight kink in each chassis rail so I will have to straighten it up, I don't think it has affected the alignment or anything but I will find out when I get the front end setup, also a bit of rust I have to fix in the lower front cross rail but it will be cut out and replaced when I make the radiator mount. I'm also smoothing the bay out a bit and relocating the battery to the passenger side of the boot for better weight distribution, doesn't sound like much but that optima yellow top weighs around 20kg. I want to look into lowering the engine mounts a bit one day as well, I think cusco actually sell mounts that supposedly lower the engine 12mm, plus they are made of polyurethane.
  3. No comment :)
  4. No worries let me know how you go getting them aligned, I'm not quite sure if I should have the carrier housing leaning toward the ground or toward the floor pan, I am going to wait either way and see what my mechanic reckons when he sets the camber/castor up on the front end..
  5. Thanks heaps mate, it means a lot, sometimes I think I havent even really done anything to her but ill look back over this thread and I realise I really have done a shit load to her, and I think you might be right on that one, when I finally get there its gunna he great especially knowing I did all the work my self (minus the 20v conversion lol)
  6. this thing is still for sale just letting people know, been locked up in a shed for 7 months now
  7. heres a link to their ae86 section of their ebay store.. i love my ebay lol. http://stores.ebay.com.au/Techno-Toy-Tuning/Toyota-Corolla-AE86-/_i.html?_fsub=1347308014&_sid=14381154&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322
  8. Haha I haven't seen it but it will give me something to watch tonight, an than I will tell you if I approve of the name change lol. I got the 4 links through t3 in America along with most of my other gear, although if you have a look on eBay at the moment there are a fair few for sale, second hand and new. They really are worth it although I have no idea why someone would decide to name the spherical joints "pillow ball joints" cause my god do they make the car let you know its hitting a bump.
  9. Good shit, its good to see this thing isn't locked in the shed 24/7 an congrats on the trophys, well earnt I say.
  10. its because of my stuff up I did last year, ling story short the seals in brake systems don't like engine oil lol, i want to use a larger master cylinder and brake booster but i'm really no good at messing around with that sort of stuff, might pay someone to do it one day, all depends on how it feels with the big calipers on there.. and no um not keeping it lol, will be painting the car properly once all the suspension is in, so maybe 2 months or so
  11. Good stuff makes me want to get mine on the track even more now lol
  12. Any updates on this mate ? Still can't believe the size of that hair dryer !
  13. So Andy, its been 6 months lol
  14. Fuel system is done, bit rough lookin but it does the job, have to pull it back out soon to paint the interior anyways.. my outer tie rods and steering knuckles showed up too, they are 20mm shorter than power steering knuckles and my god are they beefy !! 20mm thick. also seriously thinking about buying a 2way LSD for the t series diff.. just might have to save for a little while but lol.

  17. Bled the brakes again today and took this for a lap in the paddock, had it sliding 3rd gear and was all good unroll the front brakes locked on again, had to crack the bleed nipples to get back to the shed because it was just spinning the rears, so I thought stuff it, brand New slotted/ cross drilles 280mm rotors, steel braided brake lines and willwood calipers are on their way. Also got hold of a sleeve kit for ae86 struts for cheap and I'm thinking about making a set of rear coilovers, just not sure if they will fit, anyone personally done this before?
  18. I had the diff out, stripped down, welded up, New bearings installed and put back together in about 2 hours flat lol
  19. What ? No I've welded it up now, it was a standard centre and I attacked it with a mig welder... The axles were fine and the teeth on all the gears were in excellent condition...
