Haha not bad hey, that's why I spent all day today getting that g series diff out of the hilux... Even though I just changed y mind again... G series is too heavy, I want an f series now.. maybe mk2 corona diff.

So I think it's about time I let the big secret motor be revealed.. It's being delivered next weekend and I cannot effing wait!! I think a fair few of you on here should recognise it ;)

Thanks for the reply, I'm going to get what I can out of it before it goes to the scrap yard, as the fella that works there owns a worked 18rg hilux, so I've gotta beat him to it lol, yea I had a bit of a search around and found heaps of info, they are the preferred conversion on ae71's as they are only 10mm wider.. which works out pretty damn good for me as I need my rims out a bit after doing the front on rear flare conversion..

Brakes finally showed up, I waited four weeks and then decided I will send them a message, they turned around and said "oh sorry we forget to send them out" so anyways another week and they showed up, gonna laugh if I end up gettin two sets lol They were a piece of piss to fit, only trouble I ran into was the original caliper bolts were touching the rotors by a pubic hair, nothing the flap disc couldn't fit.. didn't end up painting the engine bay as I've git no money and I need to hire a jet heater. Also found this lying in a neighbour's paddock, its had a tree fall on it, obviously lol, its got an 18r, w50 box, and I've been told the diffs are very tough and 1410mm track.. he us waiting ion the scrap truck to come pick it up, so I said ill get a few "little" bits off it before it goes lol cheering

Just realised its a bit hard to read, the gbox is a w50, and I'm guessing that is the diff code, g102?

Hey people I live out on a property and I was riding the quad around today, not looking for roo's with my dog ;) anyways I notices this old, hilux? And I went and had a chat to the fella and he is scraping the thing asap, he said I can have anything I want off it as the truck is going to come pick it up when ever they get time, so I was wondering if this diff is any good? I heard something about certain hilux diffs being rare?

I didn't think 1jz could be engineered in NSW ? Or is it just a turbo version that can't be engineered ?

engine bay in primer, i'll let it harden up and rub it back on thursday if i get another day off, should have a base coat on it thursday as well also finally made a spanner for the shock shafts and got my cusco camber tops, t3 upper hats, eibach 8kg springs and koni shocks in.. had a play around with the lca's and tops

If youre gunna do it, don't literally thrash the f out of it, actually make it a sick car, ive always wanted to find a straight car like this and set it up with 250rwkw and not one piece of suspension untouched, and don't dare sell them sheep skin seat covers either lol, p.s needsmore louvers and shit

Only way I could enjoy seeing this skidded is if you go spend 8 grand on suspension, 15 grand on a motor, and leave the grandma spec paint.... THEN I could appreciate it
