Try and find an ae71 pedal box, they are hydraulic clutch... Good luck.
-
Around $200 to $300 but o just want to see it used, I will sell it for $100. I was going to use it in ky car but I decided I would go down a different route instead.

I've been told alot of people don't like them because they weigh a lot more than the sr20 (rb20 I'm talking about) I wouldnt have an effing clue how much they weigh, but I've seen a lot of people say it.

Put my engine bay back together today, and started making up a radiator support for it, I was planning on making a completely custom one but I thought I will just base it off the original one, I welded on some plates each end of it after grinding the bits of I don't need.... And that about as far as I got lol... Going to drill the holes for it tomorrow and weld nuts onto it so that I can remove it when ever need be, and smooth it off etc.. I will have to box it so that its a bit stronger, after all its going to be holding a fair bit of weight ordered some cusco engine mounts and I have to wait for them to show up so I can drop the motor in and then start mounting the radiator, oil cooler and intercooler. Then after that I've got to get some power sorted and fuel line's, then start the big girl :D Also put the wiring loom, coils and ecu under the dash, thank god they were all marked out otherwise I would have been in for a fun time!

What did they defect you for?? Pretty cool little keto's mate they're a shit load of fun hey :P
-
This is sick! Not real sure about the colour but haha.. what diff are you going to be using? S series isn't going to like the Buick motor to much lol
-
Just finished loading it off old mates car his words were "its fuking scary to drive" haha, so should be pretty good :P First thing in the morning this is getting dropped in the bay, I'm that god damn keen to get this thing going now, I look like the Cheshire cat at the moment I'm that happy, can't imagine what I'll be like when I get her started up and drive it for the first time.

dbr11k replied to tuntown2's topic in Engine Conversions
Can ya FEEL the love lol -
Ahhh I see, the pics I seen were like dirt tracks that had been marked out etc
-
Hell yes! Loving this shit!!

Thanks heaps for the info mate!! I'm keen as beans but I highly doubt I will have this thing ready to go by that date, but ya never know, might be a bit of motivation to get my shit together.. My to do list is as follows: Get my motor in Radiator support made Exhaust system made T-series diff in Wheel alignment Tail shaft made Battery relocated inside Fuel system re-done Heaps more to do but that's just the essentials. Is it just a track day? What I mean is will drifting be tolerated?
-
when is the next one and where? and do i need a cage?? i still need to get a car trailer :/
-
I seen pics in a mag of the track already being built :/ I will post pics up if I can find the mag, apparently it is being built in the south wagga area, out past the via duct

Na you're right mate, I really need to sit down with the guy I'm buying the motor off and talk about what plans he had for the motor, and I will he going back to the guys who built it in the first place, it ran 3 years of drift Australia comp and was stripped down for a rebuild and still looked like New inside, so they must be doing something right! I would love to have a crack at Winton, I'll probably end up going to eastern creek and Wakefield park at first but it will be a good feeling when I get my licence back and can take it anywhere I want.. I'm aiming on having this thing finished (not painted) by the start of august so I might have to get in touch with you when I take it to the track, do I need any sort of cage at Winton for the big track?
-
You make a pretty valid point, I think ill just keep it as it is for a fair while, till I at least get a feel for the car lol I nearly bought a set of cams the other day for it, 304 intake and 288 exhaust with 9.2 lift, but got talked out of it, yea that would be awesome if you could, is it just a street car or track/drag?
-
Painted the engine bay on this thing yesterday, I would get a pic up but unless the sun is out it just looks like I have dirt in my paint lol, its white with a purple jet boat flake through it :P
-
100 percent sane.... just not in an 850kg car hehe
-
the sleeves are mostly to make it more reliable, and e85 will make it a bit safer to run higher boost, also from what ive been told 288 is the max i want to go with a turbo motor, anything over that and the power band is not as usefull.. what psi does it run? i bet it is a wild ride haha, do you have a build thread on it? i'd love to see this thing

That's all g (:

Pretty close specs to a gt2876 but no, its a custom built item by gcg, the billet wheel is one of only two in Australia, the other being in Neal Bates trd rally car.. and yea the head is a complete standard item. Eventually will be getting the head ported, 288 cams, over size valves, darton sleeves and retuning to run on e85, I'm looking to crack 300rwkw

Cheers for the reply mate much appreciated. By the sound of things I might just travel the extra 300 kays and get a decent tuner.
