oh also i am having a bit of trouble getting the rod off the front door handles, any secrets to getting the thing off ? otherwise i WILL get the grinder out lol.

thanks man, umm it's sort of for a few reasons, one was it was all bent and rusted, the other was so i could get in and weld the RHS brace in properly, the RHS brace also is what my fuel cell will mount too, and i actually think it doesnt look to bad lol, it seperates the car from every other corolla so i decided i'm not going to have a rear bar to cover it.. i got a little bit done today, it's an absolute bitch trying to weld the insides of thos flares but i got a bit of them done.. i run out of welding gas AGAIN, so i got the wizzer out and sanded the dodgey paint off (which pretty much flaked off), stripped everything i could see ready for paint, rear window out, as it needed re sealing anyways, s series diff out (obviously) interior partly stripped ready for paint.. i made a massive mess of my perfectly bog free rear flares after welding the inside skin back on, so that is going to need a coat of bog as well.. like i said at the start of the build, this isnt going to win any sort of show and shine awards, and i'm starting to get sick of it not being finished, so i am going to cut a few corners... as long as the paint is shiny lol.. any dents and stickers will fix that haha

Slowly getting there, and I've got a beautiful 18 degree day to work in, so I'm getting stuck into it before it rains all week.

I try to haha.. yea body work is one of those things I really enjoy ..... When someone else does it for me lol, I did 4 years as a panel heater and I quit so I wouldn't have to do it anymore, but I still can't see the point in paying someone to do it for me when I can do it my seld

I'm over it lol, I cut too much out of it and now it looks like Shiite .. didn't even start body work on this thing.. me and a mate were going to start on it yesterday arvo cause I finished work early, but ended up getting side tracked and went hunting instead haha.. he has a Ute that needs painting so we made an agreement to hire out a spray booth and we will do both our cars at once if he pays for all the paint and perishable hehe.. But before that happens I have to get the old diff out so I can finished welding the insides if my rear guards ... Sigh..

So I was wondering Willis, how would you like to come finish fiberglassin a dash for me lol?

It ruins the 4ageness of the motor when you add a 7a bottom end IMHO..

My 4agte put out 220rwkw on only 18psi, once I get used to the animal as it is, I am having it rebuilt with darton sleeves, 288 cams, bigger injectors and retuned for e85, probably run 22-24psi through it and I want to crack the 300rwkw mark... Then I will have it de tuned again to, say, 20psi... so the thing doesn't inevitably pop. There is some big numbers coming out of 4agte's these days... Kickn5k cough cough.

Getting up bright and early and working on the corolla all day, thinking I have 2 days off, and then getting called into night shift at 6 o'clock ... 12 hour shifts are a drag when you've already been awake 20 hours :(

Pulled the car out into the sun today, stripped it for panel work, boot, bumper, tail lights, door handles, vents, front guards, bonnet etc, sanded a little bit and got bored, decided I'd cut out some of the loom that I didn't need, which ended up with me stripping every factory wire out that I could see lol, played around with the dash a bit more and decided a would lose the steering lock and they key barrel, so I modified that most of the afternoon. And I just got called into work for a 12 hour night shift and I've been up since 8 this morning... Gunna be fun!

I'll definitely be going to be taking this to wtac I've already asked the boss to make sure I'm rostered off haha Yea the beauty of living in the south west slopes, can't wait till I move at the end of the year

It's sitting in the back of the car at the moment, looks just fine there haha, I'm going to get right into some body work tomorrow and mount that fuel cell properly if I still have enough welding gas left I've had a photographer ask if she can shoot the car already, that is at the wtac in 2 month's..
