probably a long shot bit I thought I would have a crack and see if anyone on here would be interested, the car has been off the road for years. all new wheel cylinders and brake shoes, its a 998cc i think,i re sprayed it the original orange/red colour about 2 years ago, the engine isn't in the car as I took it out for a re build but never got around to it, it had done roughly 80 000 k's from memory and didn't really need rebuild but I just felt the need to pull hit apart as usual haha the interior will need new carpet and a few other small things, I have the original AM radio for it still. it's got a big fuel tank in it (26 liter lol) I don't have any pics on this phone but I can send some or of I get enough interest I will put pics up on here later.. it doesn't need much to get it back on the road, just some tlc and time, which I don't have because I'm a heartless prick lol I'm after around $3000 as it sits.

grex make a pretty good sandwich plate, that's what my setup is using... but $$$$

yep. haha, its guna be a bag of fun.. The turbo is GT28 56 trim rear turbine wheel with a billet compressor wheel out of neil bates rally car, exducer size is 66mm on the compressor wheel with a GT30 comp cover that has been sleeved and machined to suit. it is a one off custom turbo built by the boys @ gcg.) I did a little bit of re wiring today, re using wires out of the factory loom.. tail lights, brake lights, rear blinkers etc my 3 days off this week, start on Tuesday, so the basic 'to do list' is; finish prepping the bonnet and guards and prime them if need be paint the car put everything back together try and con someone to weld my cell & surge or let me use their TIG and I'll just see where it goes from there...

yea it's pretty good hey :P and it's not just a wrap, it's proper carbon fibre.. ended up only being another $60 on top of what I was going to pay Sam Q for OEM covers.. good luck with the cruiser, it's my girlfriends old mans car, he treats it like a baby, still fully registered and always serviced.. thanks mate, it been in the making for a while I don't know how you haven't seen it yet haha, I'm not sure of I'm going to bother with the dash for now, I'll keep it there and do it one day, but for now just a stainless dash will do

haha yea not much has been happening, I'm a bit of an idiot when I think about it really, since my roster has changed I get 3 days off in a row every week now.. and if I can get all that done to the car by my self in a 5 hour period than I probably could have practically finished it by now if I had of been using them days off to work on it... I know the feeling to well man, it's just a lack of motivation.. now go out an get stuck into it next chance ya get, I wanna see an update :P

righto.... got sick of seeing her hiding under the cover.. couldnt sleep today before night shift so i cracked a red bull and got stuck into what i could with the sanding, cut some corners, but it's now in primer the T-series diff is in, just to get it rolling again. the frame for the drop tank is welded up, still need to get gas so I can TIG weld fittings on the cell and surge tank, and weld the rim around the top of the cell.. done heaps of small things and it feels like I'm so much closer to having it finished now, just seeing it roll around again and off them stands makes me smile so much.. if you have a close look you can see my dodgey body work where the fuel flap use to be.. oh and I have decided I will hunt around for an f series diff now .. do it once, do it over kill, and do it right. EDIT; fixed up the iPhone spelling lol

So much colour in that shed, I love it haha.. pretty keen to see the thread on the daily rig.. I know you've been doing things to her, I stalk you on facebook :P

Thanks man, I had a talk to the last guy that owned it and he told me just to use crimp terminals as I will only need to use two of the pins anyhow.. so I'll get my sparky friend to come round and give me a hand haha

I also got some gear off Sam q, a cover for my trigger wheel, cam gear cover, and a valley cover... Still searching for a plug for the alternator :(

I don't think it matters how much you tell your self you're not guna spend money on them... You always will lol.

I hate to say it but I won't be able to make it :( I originally planned on having this finished for wtac (i said that 92 days ago) but unfortunately I can't get the funds to finish it, it doesn't even have a tail shaft yet! so I can't even bring it in "raw" form either :(

Hope so, I hate doing project cars so much now, I've forgotten the feeling of building something and then using it and proudly telling people you did all the work your self... With this thing it's starting to get to the point where it feels like its going no where haha It will be good to see yours finished, and everyone else's .. gunna suck when everyone else's is done and mines still under a cover but lol, I just keep telling my self its only time and I've got plenty more of that :)

Yea it's not something I wanna do, but it's definitely something I have to do, this means no car trailer either.. I will probably still occasionally duck out to the shed and do a few small jobs, but I'm just not going to spend any money on it for a bit, I'll buy another bottle of gas on Monday so I can finish all the welding.. it's probably a good thing, as I was starting to rush it too much and I was cutting corners.

Haha I hated it, no patience but... Well it would seem the car cover and the Rolla are going to become very close friends for the next month or 3.. I've gotta set my priorities straight in life, and at the moment the Rolla isn't anywhere near the top of the list.. it won't become an unfinished project.. just will take a bit longer to finish, which seems to be the trend of project cars anyways....
