Just as a matter of interest, to Hobart people, or anyone that wants to travel! I really want to get rid of the parts I have at my place, and may even part up my corolla. This is what I have: ke55 brake booster and m/c front struts and discs and calipers rusted full exhaust for ke55 sedan 4xstandard wheels for ke55 with good tyres standard 2nd hand front springs for ke55 various leaves (ideal for custom leaf pack) k40 box good condition 2t flywheel 2t clutch 2nd hand but got life left And my corolla.... I may part out if I get enough interest in parts. Or may sell whole car for right price....... It owes me a fair bit so If someone was to offer bugger all for it complete then it's not really worth my while selling it, plus all the man hours I put into building it. But here is what I could part out from it: ke55 shell 2tg rebuilt last year t50 clutch and flywheel setup....(5.9kg flywheel, holden pressure plate, crown clutch) 2" exhaust system Lukey mufflers 13x7" superlights, gold with toyo proxes r88 tyres bugger all wear speco shift light tacho speco temp guage Velo race seat sabelt 4 point harness te27 flares momo wheel momo boss kit elect. fuel pump new clutch master cyl. jap spec booster with brand new m/c metal king pads koni yellow adj shocks for front kings springs chopped twin 40mm webers with ram tubes and sock filters twin carb intake manifold genie extractors 3 core radiator basically brand new poly bushes for front end This is what is on the car that some people may want. Depending on interest I may part out as I said. pm me with your offers if you are interested then I'll assess the situation and let everyone know after a week or two.

I have the complete stock exhaust system off my ke55 4 door. Don't know if it would fit but you can have it for free if you pick it up.........I'm in Hobart though! I've also got some front struts including discs and calipers, but the are rusted to shit, but you can have them too! And a ke55 brake master cyl. and booster.....you're welcome to that, but it'll be different to yours.

You can buy te27 models and i think i have seen te37 (ke55 coupe) models. I'll see what i can find out, in the meantime search google thats where i found them.

I like that ke70! The superlights looks great on that.

Neat bus toyrota. You up north?

Yeah Bruce, it's not that hard to changt he the diff over. You only need a couple of jacks and a few tools. Let me know if you need some help. Talk him down to $100!! It's a real shitter because I had a k50, and a diff left over at my place but ended up selling it to this young feller with a yellow/mustard ke55. I don't really have anything worth using now i don't think
-
Bruce mate $700 to replace the diff is utter crap. Who is your mechanic? stop going to him! Bridgewater wreckers out behind covehill had 4 ke3x's last time i was there. I have bought heaps of stuff from the old geezer out there and he is very reasonably priced. I'd be going out there he's one of the last with older style cars wrecking in Hobart. Eastern shore wreckers also have a ke30 but they charge like wounded bulls.

So you're Oranges son Fayt? I work in at Tilfords a fair bit.

B45's are the go......Do they still make em?

Going back a few years ago my old man had the same idea. He pulled one of them apart and it was very hard. He then contacted simmons a was basically told that they aren't designed to be pulled apart once out of the factory. The have special silicone holding them together and are assembled in a big press, as to keep the correct balance etc. He put it back together and never had any troubles mind you, but I think I remember that Simmons said that all waranty is void if you pull them apart yourself. Having said that plenty of people have done it i think. I'd ring Simmons just to be sure. As for painting them, I think they are powder coated from factory so really your best bet is to give them to a professional and ave them powder coated the colour of your choice, otherwise they will chip.

Hi Bruce. Yeah, don't pay that much for a k50!!!!! Definatly don't pay over $100. I wouldn't. The flares are the small ones. Pretty cheap for what they are!. Cheers, Rob
-
Hey mate. I got them off meridian motorsport. I found them on this web site and subsequently found this site looking for flares.! If you search the for sale section for flares you will find them. They are exact replicas taken from te27 (ke25) steel jap items. They were $275 plus freight. They only need a quick sand and they are ready for paint.

Well, if you can find me a 3tgte! :(
-
Good work mate! I like the look of the "panel van" (no rear side windows or rear seats) I might be selling my 2tg soon if you can't find one, and I'm in Hobart! Keep it up and us updated.
-
Gday bruce! Sounds like a plan except a k50 would be a lot easier to put behind your engine. A t50 at least requires a hydraulic clutch set-up, pity I didnt know a few months ago, I sold a k50 for $50!!!!
-
haha! Yeah, I did actually have one guy come over and look at it, but he didn't have the money. So I may as well keep it! Might bbuy a gsxr for summer aswell though! :( I want more power because it handles better than it goes in a straight line. Just unsure of what road to go down..........
-
Cool, thanks for that. I couldn't remember if the cable could be disconnected from the speedo. I'll have a look on the weekend.
-
Well the cars been going well, but my speedo shat itself. It started flying all over the place, then was reading slow, then it just died. Cable, dial or gearbox problem?
-
Agreed...................I'm selling it, getting a gsxr
-
OK>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> What do I do................... Turbo the 2tg or get 3tgte............I have weighed up all aspects, all I got to get is some custom pistons, a fuel only computer to turb the 2tg, or spend a couple o' G on getting a 3tg...................What ya reckon.?????...... I am thinking 86-86.5 pistonios in my donk and bolting snail on with haltech fuel only on my 2tg. I allready got efi and elektronic diizzy, sitting in the back seat.......................
-
Who's bitching haha, The ke55 2tg conversion is easy as shite!!!!!!!! f@$k uprighting............ :P :jamie:

A t18 booster and m/c will clear the carbs. My mate had this combo.
-
Imagine this in place of what I've got now................ The booster is about 2 inches wider in diamter, and the m/c is offset towards the engine!!!!
