  1. Woah, thanks for the reply, u really know ur ke20's :D got a couple more q's for ya could i use my 3k carbie on the 5k? and could i use the 5k carbie jets? (the carbie i got on the 5k is broken, looks like some kinda water pipe thingy?) is it best to remove all the pollution gear from the 5K? will it still run okay? would a 3k pump be sufficient on the 5k? on the 3k it has a double row timing chain, and on the 5k it looks like a single one. can i use a double row timing chain on the 5k?

  3. thanks :jamie: Hoping to put extractors on it in the future... unless of course the manifold doesnt match up with my current exhaust... the main problem i am having is knowing which bits i can pull off the motor (and leave off), as i don't want any of the fancy air con stuff etc... plus i don't know if the gearbox will line up too... i really don't want to cut her if i can help it :abuse:

  5. Hi Guys, I just got myself a 5k from All state imports (yeah i got ripped off but Oh well..) which is to go into my KE20 74 corolla.... I have no idea where to start... the motor has all the air con crap on it, and bits and pieces *i think* i don't need.... How do i pull all the extra stuff off it so I can just bolt it in? What bits would i need to buy to make it a smooth swap? I know i need to get gaskets and stuff... but am a little lost :jamie: Cameron (who used to own the peachy KE25 that was wrapped around a tree) is going to help me next weekend to put it in, i just wanted to have everything ready to go?
