Try and make sure the topic is somewhat descriptive of your project. Don't have to be automotive related.

I could understand the cannon ones, I've personally witnessed them firing out of the exhaust. But a butterfly? Please.
-
Is that the one you plug into the cannons?

Not much I can do about that unfortunately.

http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/55855-arc-forum-battle-calder-park-march-2012/ Supp regs in here: http://forumbattle.com.au/motorsport-categories/ For existing Rollaclub members only (i.e. need to be registered before this post) I'm prepared to offer a 50% rebate (sponsorship) on the cost of entry for the motorsport events. This would be refunded after you participate in the event so you'd need to pay for the full amount up front. I know that might sound like a bit of an odd way to do it but we can't afford to sponsor an entry which then doesn't bother to show up, so think of it as extra incentive to make it to the event ;). If you can't afford the full amount up front, let me know and I'll see if I can work something out. Naturally you'll need to wear a RC sticker, if only for the day. Doesn't necessarily need to be a Corolla, but would be preferable. Tarmac Rally Calder Park Thunderdome (in front of all ARC spectators) Saturday 3rd March 2012 2 official stages of the ARC. $150/entry = $75.00 2 entries/forum, entry includes a 3 day pass Time Attack Calder Park Race Circuit Saturday 3rd March 2012 $200/entry = $100 2 entries/forum, entry includes a 3 day pass Gymkhana Calder Park Thunderdome (in front of all ARC spectators) Saturday 3rd March 2012 $150/entry = $75 2 entries/forum, entry includes a 3 day pass Drags Calder Park Drags Saturday 3rd March 2012 $150/entry = $75 4 entries/forum, entry includes a 3 day pass If you need any other assistance getting to the event or what have you, let me know and I'll see what can be arranged. Genuinely competitive cars will be given preference but please don't let that stop you nominating yourself.

Just changed some code, should stop 99% of the spambots for now.
-
Obviously its a conspiracy! We're trying to restrict the supply of nigerian/polish/russian boner meds so that we can control the market ourselves.
-
We're copping a bit of a flood from spambots at the moment. I'm working on blocking them automatically but if you see one posting (or signing up) please don't respond, just hit report and the mods will clean it up. Different people re-reporting spammers multiple times is OK!

I think its to do with ADR18/03. There's a lot more of these cars on the road now so the effect is more noticeable. Previously the requirement was ±10%. ADR18/03 states that a speedo cannot read under the actual speed of the car. So if you're travelling at 100km/h it cannot read 99km/h under test conditions. However it can read 4km/h+10% over the actual speed. So, of course, manufacturers ensure that their speedo reads over the actual speed so they can cruise through this ADR. The formula used is: 0 ≤ (V1 - V2) ≤ 0.1 V2 + 4 km/h Where V1 is the speed displayed and V2 is the true speed. At 100km/h my 07 Hilux reads 107 (and I know of others with different drivetrains that read the same), my brothers 07 Golf reads 105. So if you sit on what you know is the corrected speed you can cruise past people on the highway.

Split them into individual posts. No harm done, there's no post count anyway. Use the full site or don't?

If only the 2012 doomsayers could grasp that concept...

2011 has to go down as one of the better years for me. Well, it got better as it went along at least. Year started out a bit shit with the floods, then work was flat out for months, everyone wanted everything done yesterday in the wake of the floods. Then work screwed me around when I was completely drained, considered my options and quit my job so I could start doing what I really want to do. See where this goes in 2012. Beginning of the year the Silvia was still on stands looking rather sad. Now, last I saw, its on its wheels, running fine with some lovely upgrades :D I know where this is going in 2012

One and the same, I just removed a couple. I guess it was a bit of an experiment.

Here I was thinking people could be like, civil and stuff. Need to lower my expectations I guess...
-
Failed validation maybe? I couldn't find anyone...
-
Feeling shamefully nerdy right now. First thing I thought of when I saw that photo was the double-slit experiment.
-
Damn you have fine taste in cars. Probably helps that you take good photos too :P

Went and had a look at the car for the first time in maybe 2+ months. Everything's moving along nicely, slowly but nicely. Remote oil filters done. Buggered stainless steel braid has all been replaced by Nomex/Kevlar braid with a much shorter path to the oil cooler. :D Apparently the old ones had started to perish inside so very lucky they got replaced. Battery relocation's almost done, lines run under the car nicely. Didn't have a look at the hot pipe but I think that's been done. Air temp sensors nicely fitted on the cold side. Cam gears are in. Still to do: Diff install Seat mount Tune I'm gonna go in sometime early in the new year and whack the new brake setup on. All looking good to make the first track day of the new year so far (Feb 16th)

Relevant: xkcd.com When playing FPS if I have one drink and just maintain that level I'm a gaming god. Drink too fast and you play like rubbish.

Sure Carlos? Don't feel like you should vacate it because someone else might want it.
-
Steady on guys...
-
Some exotic kind of spambot that tries to look relevant to the target audience. Clever but still a miserable failure.
-
lol reminds me of the Mothers gear. The wash and the polish both smell amazing. Have to resist the temptation to chug the bottle...

I'm not using that particular software anymore but IIRC the sessions are split into folders with individual laps as sub folders of each session within Google Earth. The export was just a KML file (and a few other formats if you wanted to do your own analysis). Some of the software have preset layouts of the track with the start/finish line traced in already. Others you have to configure yourself but it's not terribly difficult depending on what software you're using. That mapping is a single lap, was just a demonstration of the erratic data logging from this particular software. I think the red is supposed to represent braking but because this software was calculating speed internally coupled with erratic data feed problems resulted in some strange speed recordings. The 818XT has its own speed reading output but the software wasn't utilising it at the time.
