  1. Hrmm. Should load, sprinter is the main server (so its essentially the same as www.rollaclub.com) but I'm using a different URL to allow browsers to use more parallel connections, so faster loading. What browser?
  2. I'm not sure if it's supposed to work like that or not. There'll be a software update sometime in the near future anyway.
  3. I'm curious as to where you see religion in all of this? The religious right in America seems to be allied at varying degrees to what you're proposing. Why wouldn't we just end up with a theocracy instead?
  4. It's a Corolla website, get over yourself. From the bits that I read it was hardly an intellectual discussion.
  5. Hate to say it, but everything about this screams 'scam' for me at the moment. I would urge caution to anyone ready to throw cash at this.
  6. Not even that, it just works. Its just a hopped up laser range finder which does differential calculations on the range over time. It probably doesn't even care if the numbers positive or negative, just ignores the sign bit or maybe feeds it to a "To/From" display if its fancy. The old Falcon radars that worked on doppler shift didn't care either. Quite happily worked in either direction without any configuration change.
  7. Please keep this stuff in the for sale area. See our "No peddling" rule.
  8. Need to sell this ASAP because I need the space for a trailer. Good: Motor good. Gearbox good, manualised, stall converter, kevlar bands. 17s all round (8S and 9s I think, can't remember). Bad: Active (hydraulic) suspension leaking (FL, RL at least). Front bumper damaged. RHS Quarter damaged. Side skirts ripped off. FPCU dead and bypassed (fuel pump runs in high mode all the time). Interior ratty (drivers seat in particular) Tyres old. Good candidate for an engine donor (my intention) but possible to put it back on the road. $2000 neg.
  9. I don't see why not. Quite happy for things to be non-automotive related.
  10. To the top!
  11. Imgur.com -> drag & drop -> gives you link code.
  12. Those same cars should have auto headlights though Dave!
  13. Or people who just turn their parkers on. Parkers are for parking, if you need parkers while you're driving TURN YOUR LIGHTS ON!
  14. Alright, that's enough no's for me unless there's a huge flood of yes'. I get the feeling that I've asked this before too.
  15. I completely forgot this option existed but discovered it when investigating some setup changes for the upcoming server move. Personally I don't use either of these, but I know a lot of people do. The main reason I don't use them is because they're usually full of trash from the FS areas. So I put the question to you, get rid of FS areas or keep them? 16. Option 1's S14. Has a new owner now but apparently still local. Still can't afford it :( Trailer or gearbox? I'm still going with trailer at the moment, no more rental death traps for me.
  17. Just in time for Change Your Password Day, February 1.
  18. I'd say so, but I didn't want to risk damaging it given how long its taken me to get it back running again. Once I get the suspension and brakes straightened out and learn how to drive again I'll take it back and get it turned up to 20psi and call the job done. If I had a better gearbox I'd think about building an engine and slapping a great stonking turbo on it but I can't afford one so I'll make do with sub 250kW. One of the quickest S chassis in QLD runs around 230-240kW but with good response.
  19. Very dangerous road to go down with serious security ramifications. Bad idea IMO. I can see what they're trying to do but I don't think they've considered (or care about) the side effects. Yep, if you're not in control of the hardware you're connected to and you're sending passwords in the clear (not encrypted) then there's every possibility your password will be sniffed. It's not a new technique but it sounds like it's being bought down to the level of consumers now. I should point out though, if you're not in control of the hardware while your password should be safe over SSL an attacker could still hijack your Rollaclub session. I could encrypt the entire site but I don't think that's necessary at this stage. There's CPU and bandwidth issues that we would probably encounter. Hopefully I can start a bit of a trend and get some more forums to consider it.
  20. Made 196kW @ 15psi on Tuesday. Haven't got the dyno sheet yet and don't know much else. I was going to ask them to go for more power but I decided to just leave it for now because I'd had to pop the motor having only just got it running again. If I get bored later this year I'll drop it back and get the boost cranked up. On the old turbo it made 192kW @ 12psi so not a big gain in outright power. The boost increase comes from the smaller rear housing (0.64 vs 0.86 on the old turbo) but I'm hoping this has opened up a much larger usable power band. Seat mount and diff to go... but I think my mechanics forgotten about the diff.
  21. Just trialing this for a month at the moment. It's simply an encrypted transmission method, enabled on registrations and logins. If you have any troubles logging in email me: [email protected]
  22. For anyone else wondering: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geo/Chevrolet_Prizm#First_generation
  23. It does rather cheapen the image of the Australian flag... (Again back to the decision making)
  24. Here's a link to the original press release that the media rip their stories off: http://www.news.uwa.edu.au/201201234297/research/study-shows-racist-views-link-car-flags As usual the media brush over the details and run with it. Also not convinced the sample size is large enough and I suspect that the sample location is biasing the results somewhat. I'm wondering if choosing to fly flags on your car says more about the persons decision making process. I mean, what do they expect those flags to look like at 100km/h? Or the gumby in the Cruiser yesterday that passed me at 120kmph with the flags a complete blur. Then I pissed myself laughing when one of them flew off.
