Well, met a fellow RollaClub member at Marques, alas, with no Corolla.. So there I was parking with the Canberra Celica Group, which were more than accommodating. The turn out was very good, even though I arrived after a number of cars had already departed. :)

That'd be great Benny. I love the 36's and with a 20V that would be awesome :) I thought I'd missed it but re checked the date and am keen as a bean. Who else will be making the Marques? The Z20's are few and far between mate and are definitely cool. If you had a stock standard Ferrari would you not take it - what's the difference? ;)

Hi John welcome to the club. We haven't seen an itty bitty twenty around for quite a while mate. What side of town are you on? I have some 20 parts that I need to offload if you're interested in some spares/replacements. I should have something you can use. The likelihood of a cruise this spring is very likely. We often do a BBQ cruise or two out to the Cotter during the warmer seasons. A few of the guys also frequent car shows like the Shannons event and Marques in the Park is also popular. Keep an eye on the section (ACT regional) if you want to get in on the action. Welcome aboard.

Someone sell me a Corolla so I can come :) I've been on the lookout for one for a few months now and the KE70 I have is currently receiving the 20V treatment. Hope to have some enjoyable spring/summer drives with the club again.

That was a refreshing way to spend an hour! :) Props for the quality control you're going through to get it done right. One question: It obviously works better, but why is it that you've now changed to a KE20 cross-member, after you'd mentioned that in order to pass engineering regulations at least one original crossmember must be used?

Love how far the car has come, mate! The mods you have done so far are great. I can tell you're going to have the biggest smile on your face when you finally hit the track. Good luck with the rest of it and lets hope she lasts

Hey guys, SOLD 5K turbo setup that I'm going to end up selling down the track, but I'm short on time to clean it up for advertising, for the moment. So, I thought I'd let you guys have the opportunity of the sale before I put it out there (probably a month or two away). It's a neat setup that would work very well. Not sure on any of the specs, but if you want to come have a look, please do so! Guy my cousin and I bought the car off had it running a couple of years ago and stopped driving it... My cousin asked him to start it and then the engine caught on fire due to some dodgy fuel hoses (perished). Comes with - 5K engine including starter motor, alternator, weber carby (I think electric choke 32/36) and an excedy clutch (looks pretty new) and bottom of electronic dizzy that MAY be salvageable as it was on fire! I've never run it, but should start. - Intercooler piping with carby top hat, radiator spacer, and a few silicone joiners. - Turbo - Manifold and dump pipe. - Malpassi fuel pressure regulator All I can see that it needs is new bolts around the rear housing/manifold. SOLD

T50 To Replace 4Speed On 4K In Ke55 Coupe
seabiscuit replied to Slow Joe's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
You'll need a K-T bellhousing. Good luck. -
Spotted 2 AE86's, recently. A gold one and a red one. The Red one had gold Watanabe's with a silver lip and the Gold one was standard and looked to be slightly unloved (dirty). Have seen a few KE30's and KE55's etc, which have all looked very unloved. I spotted one KE70 panelvan that was in great shape. It was yellow and almost identical to Johnie's, but it had glass in 1 section of the "panel's" and standard rims. It was being driven by an elderly woman at least in her 60's, possibly 70's.

Subaru brumby's and 4x4 wagons are IRS. They aren't a very wide car, either. I'm sure there diff's aren't the greatest, though. Could possibly get hold of an RX turbo diff.

Nice work, guys! Home stretch :)

Hey guys, looking for a KE3x or KE5x front end or parts thereof. Bonnet and guards, basically!
-
Very nice :)

Aye aye! (minus the shed part)

Sorry, but I won't sway.

I give you.... The Silvertop! :lolcry: The 20-valved, cylinder combustion-type, multiple throttle, twin-cam air pump! Sorry to disappoint those that live their lives on a technical basis, considering it is still a 4A-GE. So it is post-weekend, but I have some photo's for you! :y: I'm very happy with the interior, as it is clean and doesn't smell like a rotten banana. The steering wheel will be replaced (for road duties), with a Luisi steering wheel that I picked up some time ago. If the Blue Car sees the track, I will change over to the wheel currently on there as it is smaller and excellent to hold onto. The stereo is basic, as there are only 2 JBL 6" speakers on the parcel shelf and a Sony head deck in the dash. Even so, it is good enough until the driveline and suspension are tuned to how I like. Indulge. So whilst I was removing the 16-valve 4A-GE, I decided that the brake booster needed a BIN to sit in. The 2nd Blue Car (previous one) had a good booster on it, so it will go on the firewall once the engine is prepped for installation - as well as some degreaser! Fuel pump and wiring under the boot :bash: With my short amount of spare time and energy the 20V has been freed of the FWD loom, degreased, cleared of creepy crawlies and has had some of the ancillaries and cooling system fiddled with. As you can see, there are some non-standard water fittings attached to the block, courtesy of Sam_Q Engineering. Thus doing so achieves an internal re-routing of the cooling system to suit north-south orientation, rather than an unsightly external re-routing of the system. For those who aren't sure what I'm on about; the 20V was designed as a front-wheel drive ONLY engine, which saw Toyota change the distributor location, but more importantly - for my application - the location of the inlets/outlets of the cooling system, to suit the east-west orientation of the engine. When doing so, it became difficult for rear-wheel drive 4A-GE enthusiasts (Starlets, Corollas, AE86s, etc.) to "bolt in" to their cars, as they were relocated to the back of the head... ultimately getting in the way of the firewall when the engine is turned 90 degrees. Please ask questions via PM if you need to know more regarding 20V > RWD! or check out Sam_Q's articles HERE! When the Corolla is ready, say goodbye to THIS World Record.

Fantastic looking KE26. It is original and Granny, already hehe. Would like to see it on some period correct wheels. The colour is awesome too. I don't think I've seen that before on a KE2x! Bloody awesome find, though. $1500 is a steal!

Pending free time and availability of energy, the Blue Car may make it. But don't lock me in, yet, Eddy.

I have started pulling down the engine bay to make way for what I call "cleansing". All through the engine bay are things that could do with a bit of tender care. The wiring is a terrible example. It's glad to know that people still take their pieces of computer mouse cable, run it across the engine bay like cobwebs and expect it to be acceptable! It's good, because they keep people, like myself, in a job :P I have a spare brake booster to replace the dusty looking hunk sitting on the firewall. I may even get some new/er lines put in, as the current ones aren't up to my liking. The brakes aren't the only thing needing attention on the firewall side of the engine bay. A lovely looking hunk of black silicone and a hydraulic clutch system are all that keep the water from getting to my feet (get this, right) when I do river crossings! Keep peeking around the curtain guys, because the engine will be revealed pre-weekend as well as the engine bay pictures :D

If only it were this.... <<<--- Link! ^^^ That would be nice.. But a Swede from work would probably stain my seats over one of them. Update time!

Fastest Corolla With A 4age, 4agze Or 4agte
seabiscuit replied to aedan_man's topic in Automotive Discussion
Breaking the 200km/h bracket is easy, but turn that into miles and it's a whole different ball game. A team of students and engineering guru's smashed the landspeed record of the <1.5L and <1L class at Bonneville sand flats with a de-stroked 4AG-TE 20V powered MR2. Here is the article. Please? Love the 36's.

Te27 With 4A-Ge: How To Install A/C?
seabiscuit replied to Flashg7's topic in TExx Corolla Discussion
Provided you have a 4A-GE air-con compressor, use it.. The 2T-C variant is quite old! Your best bet is to find a compressor that will fit where you would like it and be able to run the correct belt-type to avoid the hassle of finding a pulley to suit the engine. A fabricated mount would not be very hard to make. If you don't have the required tools, confidence to make one, or a friend that can do the job, I would not pay over $120 for a shop to make one for you. Simple really. -
Dis car is soo sweet maan.. how u get dat enjin in dere bro haha? I thort tha 20V waz a fwd motor lolz. mayb 1 dai my KE wil be liek urs! Haha just trolling Sloth. I was keen to come check out your ignition this weekend, but I'm going fishing up in Sussex Inlet. The ignition is the only difficulty I should have with putting mine in, so it can be ready for the Matsuri. The KE70 will be schliding alongside yours - well, more like 20 metres away anyway :P I have many, many stockies :) Did you get any time to try out those extractors on the Red Rocket?
