  1. With the right modification YES. A whole KE20 (TWENTY!!!) front end is what some people use. As for the diff, if you're looking for strength there are much better options out there. You really just need a diff with the same or as close to the same width as possible. No the tailshaft will not fit.
  2. If you didn't get much of that, basically the more NEGATIVE offset you have, the more dish you have. The more positive, the less dish you have. The more negative offset, the more your wheel hub sits "inwards" on the rim. Opposite applies for positive offset. This rim has lots of positive offset (no dish! :)) This rim has LOTS of negative offset.... (lots and lots and lots and lots of fingerlicking good dish)
  3. Have seen that KE55. He's a pizza delivery driver for Arnold's Pizza in Tuggeranong. I told him it was a cool car :)
  4. Full plate for me this weekend. Plus my car is off the road again... Lost spark completely while on Athllon drive. *sigh* Going camping, though. That should let some steam off.
  5. I say yours will win, Brendan! ;) Would have been a good "database" of the quickest Rolla's around and for those looking to compare. EDIT: And inspiration for people to get their cars on the road
  6. Stupid computer: double post
  7. Was unfortunate I didn't go. I was invited by 2 of my mates... "Give me a call when you're thinking of going"... 5pm "Hrmmm". I had a pretty bad cold anyway so didn't have too much effort left in me anyway. Any highlights that you'd care to spill guys?! :jamie:
  8. Hey everyone. As of today, I've started researching on how the funk this electronic dizzy of mine is supposed to be connected. I've just decided that I'd rather take it to a auto electrician so I won't blame myself for stuffing it up. Any recommendations?... Or has anyone done the swap?
  9. Which means there's no point thinking about getting any of these carburetors unless you have other plans that will back this one up. Dellorto sidedraughts are basically same as a Weber just so you know. What are the plans for the engine/s in question? That will give us an idea of the answers you're looking for!
  10. Doesn't sound too impressive with the Magna lol. Only 6 months for it to die whilst having lots of dramas... I don't call that a car I would miss. Go the camry. Really nice car! My brother has the 1MZ version... Unfortunately he never gives it any stick and it's an auto
  11. I dig the tailgate  Pull your finger and get this finished! I really like what you've done so far mate. Will the LED strip stick out a bit? The bolt lights look ok, but I don't think they'd show your plate too well. Either way, it will look good :D Any plans for a custom number plate? BRUCEY
  12. Daily you say.... I dig :D
  13. I like my brothers and dad's mates Camry Sportivo's (year 2000ish onwards). They can look really cool. Haven't heard of any problems from them either. Can find them quite cheap if you look in the right places. My brother bought his ex-fleet from the coach of the Canberra Raiders football club for under $15,000 with 80,000km's over a year ago (2004 model btw) EG. eBay Ad.
  14. Very light brown (close to beige but not) KE70 pano. Damn I was jealous. Looked like a beast. Went like one too. Thinking it has a 4AGE or hot 5K. Might have to put a RC pamphlet on under his wipers and offer him some money!
  15. Is a good start.
  16. Get your car tuned properly. If they do it right, you won't need to retune it for a long time.
  17. 4AGZE is indestructobile! Go for it or 4AGE. As you said, it's only a daily hack. Lots of work to turn a Hachi into SR/CA daily hack... 4AGE = plug and play!
  18. Take it to a wheel shop - they charge a small fee to get them taken off. Otherwise my advice is lots of thinking and trying!
  19. What offset wheels are you running? You really should test fit them without a tyre, see how much they stick out, test a wrecker tyre that's same/close, then judge. It's hard to tell, but 195 50 14 would be decent! Might be a tight fit since you have such wide wheels. What are they BTW? Pics >|
  20. Wreckers is only place you get em, mate. And off people wrecking them. Not a lot of NOS/remake stuff around for these. Especially trim and chrome.
  21. There's a KE20 in one of the Cold Chisel songs. Saw it on the TV not long ago, but have forgotten which one it is! It's in a workshop with another car.
  22. Should have asked me before I scrapped the wagon! If you can find me a hydraulic pedal box I'll give you my KE30 one :no2: If you can get a 5-speed KE70 box (sorry, need to keep mine) as they're easier to come across. I've got a KE55 extension housing to convert it to fit your car.
  23. C'mon Sam. You know we've been dying to be invited to your work. :no2:
  24. Great to have another member aboard, Sho! If you're interested in learning more about Corolla's, I suggest not to hold back on your first car (unless it's a museum piece). The more you break, the more you bits get to fix and learn about! :no2: But not really. Best way is to try and maintain the car yourself. Do all the servicing yourself, familiarise yourself with what's what and you'll only go upwards from there. If it's more a case of something needs diagnosing and then fixing, give that a shot and ask for assistance as I'm sure it will be given! I'm willing to lend a hand mate. Corolla's are great fun to work on.
  25. Honestly, I don't think a KE70 panel van could look any better. You've done well (so far). As I've said previously, I hope it only gets better.
