  1. I think a 3:5 would be ideal in my experience, i think the highest available in stock though is 3:9 It can also depend on what wheels/tyres you choose to use. ATM i am working 40min down the highway from my place, so i have a large profile set of 15s on the back of old girl so it doesnt rev so hard to do 110.
  2. inlet manifold.
  3. whoops, forgot to mention that!
  4. This is the correct way. If the oil catch can is not a cheap one, and actually works, all that you motor receives is air, the oil stays in the can.
  5. Those rims are a perfect fit, for ke2x, and ke3x.
  6. no, definately not.
  7. sounds good i recon! will make an effort to come, even if its not for long.
  8. 4a 20 valve have quads i believe, same with sr20 gtir, skyline gtr i think, and countless 4 cyl motorbikes, you could adapt any of these if you are keen.
  9. Dash panel, or front vent panel, either way they are both spot welded in. Drilling would be required, not really worth it in both cases.
  10. ^^^^^very interested to hear your updates!
  11. Most bolt on spacers are made of alloy, very bad if you have any sort of power. You can buy ones made properly out of the right grade steel, but just one costs about as much as 4 alloy ones. On a 1300cc corolla i would probably use them, but its just as easy to buy wheels that fit.
  12. I thought it was great, not a heap of toyotas dammit, and a whole lot of datsuns, but a fair few quality cars. Great to meet some of RC people i haven't met yet (although i was too busy stressing over having not washed my car) Great to catch up with those i've already met too :) It was a good laugh watching dougy assembling his car at the show :)
  13. Yep, fully licenced and driving like an angel :) Great to meet all the rollaclub crew today, my memory sucks, but good to see you all! :) The wheels i had on my car today are simply too wide to lower it, so i will have to decide on some for the future, the sigma wheels are going on for now. Thanks for the calipers Matt 8/
  14. I also corrected the front end camber problem last weekend. I got these off here, s13 strut tops. As expected, there is a fair bit of slotting involved to fit them, so instead i opted to make some new top plates for them, so they fit the car perfectly. I used 6mm steel, out of an old chassis rail i found out the back. All done, i painted them blue, and they are now in the car and work a treat :hmm:
  15. Heres some of the pics from my stud pattern change to 114, so both my cars can share wheels. Thanks heaps for your help, redwarf rob, matt, and duggy. :y: ke25 and ke30 axels chop a bit off Its all finished now but the camera is flat, just have to bleed the brakes. :hmm:
  16. Long time no updates!!! I ran out of time with the efi, due to not wanting to ride my bike to work in the freezing cold! so, the beast is carby powered so far  I have had the work ute for a few weeks now, so i have had the opportunity to sort out a few things that were really bugging me. First the drivers seat, this was killing my back, so i bolted in a TA22 seat i had from my ke30, the ke ones will be heading to the upholsterer soon to get restored. Next was the carby, damn thing wont idle, so i picked up the fresh one from corollaandy now she runs sweet!
  17. The trimatic fitted into my ke25 without any tunnel bashing, or mods. The gearbox it replaced was a toyoglide. The shifters have the same throw on them, so the original shifter was used. (cannot select first) The tailshaft did not fit, different length, spline, and uni joint size. The gearbox crossmember is in the correct spot, but needs to be about 20mm lower for the trimatic. Cheers~matt
  18. Motor for sure! It all great and nice to have perfect paint, but it really is more trouble than its worth. Eg. I'm paranoid about where i park, afraid of some dick opening their door on me, or an escaped trolley hitting it. What about forestry, this is where i think alot of people learn to drive their car to its best, i can't do this anymore due to worry about my paint  Also, the cops, if you have a nice shiny car, they will harass you. My brother drives an old 626 with rust oozing out of it and a broken taillight, the cops have followed him many many times, he has never been pulled up though. Go the 4age :hmm:
  19. About 8 degrees at idle, give or take a degree.
  20. I can't seem to link it to here  So give us your email and i will attach it Cheers~matt
  21. I have an online entry form, if anyone wants it?
  22. Cheers mate, ive sorted it out already, thanks anyways. My car shall be there, hope fully with 4 of the same wheels, if i can find some axels in time. If not too bad, it will still be there :y:
  23. Its not too late, where do i get one of them forms???
  24. Good to see this is still cracking along, nearly there :) The clutch wont be too bad, they are still quite streetable, its when they have no spings it gets harsh.
  25. This is a funny question, wouldn't that defeat the purpose of the conversion? The answer is no though, the bearings are spaced much wider. From memory, using ra40 steering arms upsets the ackerman principle the least. I had a set of these rona struts a few years ago, from memory the only problem you might run into is the camber angle set on the struts, eg. the rona strut towers were closer together. nice ride :y:
