Yeah, lots of rust, if i do it properly and go crazy with the rust proof, hopefully it will stay away. Not really any immediate conversion plans, it gets along quite well. 1uz is probably the most tempting though. Will see how it tows, and what sort of trouble the notorious 7m gives i guess. My brother is stuffing aroung with 2js atm, so i will probably leave them to him. Any crazy ideas? No colour change, would love to, but I'm in a bit of a hurry, Ive borrowed the oldies car atm, so this will be my next driver if all goes to plan. Not working on it today though, giving the neighbours a break from the noise -

Thanks mate. I don't mind the wheels too much, i wouldn't have chosen them, but they have new tread so they will be there for a while before i have to make any decisions. roof is done, except for around the screen, which i have now popped out. The amazing 7m I Cut out all the rust yesterday, so its all ready for some new metal. Drivers side, at the bottom of both doors, need to replace a bit of the inner panel on the passenger door too. drivers guard bottom, a bogged up rust hole DS passenger door again, the worst panel on the car, except for the tailgate, which is made entirely of bog from what i can tell. DS sill, i actually found a proper rust repair! but it needs more. bonnet, needs under panel done too. PS guard, bogged up previously. Between the two PS doors at the bottom. Rear PS door. screen out screen rust, both top corners. Have fixed the bonnet yesterday, but the camera is flat, -
man you're getting into some scary territory now, just don't break it! This is gonna be nuts, can't wait to see the new mph.

The progress from the other week, cut from my other thread. Cut the gutters off, and welded up the seam. 2 new patches on drivers side, which is the good side! Passenger side sections cut out This one at the front This one at the rear. Have welded it all up now, but lost the pics, might take some more now. -
awesome mate! Your in QLD too, gotta love it.

Always wanted one of these, my parents had one in the paddock when i was growing up, so i really wanted a crown wagon 67-71. sooo.... This is my wags, i bought it a few years ago off ebay from sydney, sight unseen. A pretty dumb thing to do, but was unable to fly down and view it due to work. Here is some pics from the previous owner. When it arrived, it was pretty rusty, the previous owner said 'rust free', i think he meant 'free rust'. It also had a bottom end knock he failed to mention..... oh, and the diff is buggered........ Anyways, that will learn me for buying a car without viewing it!! So, i stripped the roof back to check out how bad the rust really was, and to see if the car was worth repairing. Also bought some new cheap rubbers off american ebay. And recently i have started to work on it again.....

That is impressive! I don't go looking for ca18 stuff, but thats the highest ive seen from one.

It took you a year but its all in there, nice work. Good luck breaking it too, they take some punishment, especially from a 5k. I have 3 of these things, one in the ke30, one shortened to go in the ke25, and one sitting here for the crown, i guess i like these diffs.

keep us informed if you run on 2nd, might come for a look again i think.

This is a very common quote from a commodore owner that makes me lol. But you do have a charger, so, when i thought about it, you're probably right.

well. sort of an update.. Damn pos pajero chucked the bottom end in yesterday, you could hear it from 5 blocks away, hmmm. So i own 5 cars, pajero, ke25, ke30, crown, vt commodore, and the only one that goes is the f'ing vt commodore -selling. So ive borrowed mums car.......at the age of 26. shiiiiiiiiiiiiit. Any ways, bought a larger rear housing for my gt30, as the .63 is no longer suited to my requirements. Also looks like the commo is sold, will know tonight, so that will buy my stall converter, and ignition system if all goes well. Might make some bodywork progress over the break, might not, depends if the cricket is on. -
Every car enthusiasts worst fear. I know a lot of guys who will not show their car on the internet for this exact reason. Make him hurt, then Name and shame

havnt seen it done to a 30/55 mate. A ke70 has a rack, this would be the obvious first place to look i guess. I was keen to put one in mine, but it is not an easy thing to get mods approved for here in qld, so i havnt bothered.

Painting Car In Acrylic
oh what a nissan feeling! replied to KESR20's topic in Automotive Discussion
bog should not be used over paint, it must be bare metal. 2 exceptions: There are bogs specifically designed for use over paint, but you need to be certain you are using such a product first. There are also etch primers specifically designed to be used under bog, but not in acrylic. -

Will 16x8 Inch Rims Fit On A Stock Ke55
oh what a nissan feeling! replied to raffs rolla's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
Sorry man, to be serious.... They will not fit within your wheel arches, they will hang out lots, that being said, a lot of people run this size and offset mag, all they do is bash the crap out of their guards in an attempt to widen them, and fit the wheels with well under-width tyres, say 185 on an eight inch rim. -
spacers are illegal. As you said, a heap of people run them, they are unlikely to cause you any drama, unless you have power. The spacer type ones are normally 5-8mm, the bolt on type are 15mm and above.

oh what a nissan feeling! replied to raffs rolla's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
-0, they will be fully sic jap dorift mags, all you need is a set of 155/55 tyres and they will only scrub on your guards when you hit a bump, seriously, everyone does it, its fully sic! -
