My last engine was gt28rs .63 rear, non turbo cams, cheap ebay manifold, mls head gasket, stock inlet and 550cc injectors. Made 288hp@wheels in shootout mode on dyno at about 18psi. If your car is intended for circuit racing i would do nothing more, the response is insane as you probably know, and enough power to run 11.5 on the strip, sometimes i wonder why i ever changed it. I have the plenum here, just can't find a picture of it, i will take one next time i have something to upload. -

nah, kvs quote was 4k, a fair bit more than anywhere else. The cage ties into the chassis rails in the boot, so will hold the car together as planed. I can lift the front of the car a meter in the air with one hand as it sits, i recon if the diff wasnt in there with one other person we could carry the thing away. This is the 5th sr20 combination i have had in this car, all the under bonnet fab work is done, pics are on page 4 except the new plenum. -

Not sure about the back seat, going to try and get rego as a 4 seater, but likely I'm dreaming. Agreed a few triangles would have been a great idea, and the cage builder really wanted to, but i really want a back seat for powercruise, and don't want to deviate from a street car too much. We did put a triangle brace across the rear of the roof, and an extra bar under the dash as an attempt to add some strength without compromising any space. It was actually a guy called graham here on the coast who built it, he is a manifold builder not sure of his business name though, this was his first cage, i had to talk him into doing it, and had to provide all the andra specs too, i also phoned the andra approval guy a few times to check on things as well. The main reason i wanted him to do it was to get it real tight to the vehicle, and from his previous work i knew he had the ability. -
How Much Psi Can A Stock 5K Take?
oh what a nissan feeling! replied to mhmills's topic in General Mechanical
t25? gt28? gt30? Not really the right question, what an engine can handle is not measured in boost, horsepower/ kw would be a better indication. -

man that sucks bad, how deep? is it all still there? -
Well said, half of these s13 front end rolla would be a struggle to keep on the road trying to go round a corner.... Something as simple as changing lca or steering arms will hinder your steering, be it only very small. Sr20 conversion could be done for 3k and are not too hard, if you can weld and have good engineering and wiring type skills. if you don't have these skills and do attempt it, its likely you will sell as an unfinished project, or be one of those cars that are so rough and poorly done that i get great laughs out of it, and check your location to make sure its not near me. On top of that 3k you will need to upgrade your diff and brakes, probably another 3k to be spent there, and with big brakes comes bigger wheels- more $$$.

Matts Swb Pajero
oh what a nissan feeling! replied to oh what a nissan feeling!'s topic in Rides - non-Toyota
Progress has slowed a bit, been working on the rola a fair bit cos its in the shed out of the rain, its blows in pretty bad where the pajero is. Engine is back in for good, auto is bolted up again as well. Extractors from the hsv didnt clear the chassis rails by about 5mm, so i have cut and shut them to fit, tacked them with the mig, and got the old man to finish weld them. battery tray has been moved to the opposite side of the engine bay to allow room for the air box, the mounts are welded on and ready to bolt in once extractors are in. Have decided to use the pajero factory airbox but swap it to the other side, is all mounted now and looks the goods, the commodore one didnt fit, a fair bit too large. Power steering is sorted, have cut and shut the pressure hose. Also removed the cooling loop from the power steering and ran it through a small cooler instead. It was a factory engine cooler for the pajero engine, but is mounted right beside the steering, so was just too convenient especially when i had already damaged the factory cooling loop. Computer Wiring is 70% done, enough done to start it, but need to sort out a few other things, auto park neutral lock out, and a few other minor ones. Body loom is half done, earthing is all done, alternator plugs in, still have to cut and shut a few big power cables. Radiator is mounted on the bottom so far, its a vs v8 alloy ebay special, the vx one was too wide, but the earlier shape one knocks 100mmm off the width so its perfect. I Am rubber mounting it to avoid fatigue in the alloy. Going to enzed tomorrow to get air con hoses made, also getting some hose for heater pipes and fuel lines while I'm there. Plenty of stuff still to go, but getting through it, got my tax back so that will get me a set of 33s i recon. No pictures atm, might take some tomoz. -

Thanks for the comments, it is looking real smooth atm, is coming along real nice. mag wheel is 'work' brand 8", a trial fit, it actually clears well for a wide sucker. -

Well, i had decided not to post any more pics until a bit of colour is painted. but, what the hell, here's proof this is still cracking along, i spend about an arvo a week on it. This is the second and final layer of undercoat for the car, all spot puttying is done, and everything is looking schmicko. ready to go and all done and in guide coat. Have spent a fair bit of time rubbing it back ready for colour already, it is coming up really good and is about 70% ready to go so far. Even had the missus sanding inside the doors this arvo. -
forgot to add, there was about $50 left owing on his sper, bunch of cocks.
-
A mate of mine got done for the same thing Reed, he failed to pay his sper so they suspended his licence, found out when he got pulled up for an rbt. Went to court and got a one month suspension for it, i can't believe the bunch of cocks took your car, that is abuse of their 'hoon laws'.

interesting, will attempt to get to this.

cool, sounds good, would love to have chat and a looksey.
