Welder is how they can be straightened, but didnt read properly, 5 thou not worth trying. Did you compare head gaskets? I mean sit down and spend 10 mins comparing every little hole from old to new? I have had a few first hand experiences where mates have had this problem, one diffent hole in hg could cause lots of drama.

congrats, well done! That rear end works real good, definately worth it now huh! From memory you are running pretty close to perfect with your mph according to marosso rule, awesome work.

thanks for the encouragement phil! alright, camera has issues, so these pics suck a fair bit. all 9 unboltable panels are ready for topcoat now, rubbed back with 400 dry paper, and looking really good. Car has been removed from shed to avoid dust and over spray.\ Painted and fitted brake booster and master cylinder front brakes and struts fitted and painted, with support braces, steering not fitted yet though as the some of the boots are broken. more stuff in waiting for painting. stuff painted and ready for car All wiring in the engine bay will be hidden, so have stripped back and began the task of distributing the body loom wires in a more suitable fashion. Also have made up an alloy plate for engine ecu, coils, ect for under the dash, and mounted. The ever supportive missus has also began the task of recovering the velo's, after they went mouldy from poor storage. but no pics yet. Plent of stuff still to do, but this is now my main focus until finished, as the pajero is now performing its intended task as the missus work car. -
man be aware you risk breaking the camshaft as well, but i really hope things go well. do you know anyone with an alloy welder?

nice work mate, thought this was 4ag but now the custom rods make sense. i don't know why more people don't go with the extra capacity. Oh yeh, and you work fast! i need to check this thread more often.

Man youre flying along, nice work. There is a big rumour out there at the moment that QLD is getting ncop really soon, so if its a 6 point you',re putting in make sure you've lined up someone to sign it off. From what I'm aware of remote boosters can only do one cicuit? Personally i would go with a custom plenum, would just be so easy, and pretty cost effective too once you've explored the other options. Most of the hotrods run a under dash booster setup, Its a heap of custom work though. I could definately obtain more info and pics on it though if you decided to go that way. -
Man what a car, nice work, i bet it moves!

crazy, i recon i would crash from rubbernecking if that thing passed me on the road.

Man this thing looks so good in those wedding shots, great work getting it going so quick! wiring. Its hard to help without a full view of your scenerio, first thing i would do is run a temp wire directly to your coil from your battery and see if it starts, to be sure you are chasing the right thing. Is your coil relay getting its source directly from the battery terminal, and negetive returning directly to battery? So is your relay giving power when in the 'on' position from the key?

Thanks xr8racer, its always awesome to hear feedback like that! cheers. Yep, need some progress report. Auto bellhousing is fitted to c4, the adapter worked a treat. have removed head from sr20de i have here, this is the new head for this built engine, its now ready to send off for cnc porting. Went to kelly wreckers in bris, and got raped for some panels. Got another bootlid, and a front apron from an early ke30. These panels have been stripped to bare metal, etched, straightened, and etched again ready for undercoat now. Fitted all panels on vehicle to check gaps are perfect, and also to check that fitment is perfect. (eg. if you slide a ruler along the car from one panel to the next there will never be any gap under the ruler) Front gaurds are straight and re-etched ready for undercoat. Have talked the missus into doing the new vinyl on the front seats, so the blue/white velo's will now match the tan interior. bought the vinyl a few weeks back, and she started this week on them. Will hopefully undercoat all the above panels today. Will be making the new shiny stainless brake lines in the coming weeks too. will get some pics to upload today as well. -

thanks mate, not quite on the road yet, early next week i think. The list from rwc + mod plate guy : 1. front bumper parker not working 2. front diff mount split 3. 2 outer tie rod ends 4. rh upper control arm bushes 5. adjust steering box 6. adjust lh wheel bearing 7. find engine number 8. 3 tyres no good (stocko ones) Have fixed all of the above, just need to read the engine number somehow.....what a spot to put it in holden! :bash: -
yep, do eet, dodgy old falcon 6s have built quite a reputation for handling boost very well, would be one hell of a burnout car. 2jzeenoshit.

12A, N/A, Street Legal?????
oh what a nissan feeling! replied to KE20 toyrota's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
12a is capacitly x2 =2.4litres rule is weight of car x3 = allowed capacity you then need the "official weight" of a ke20, as listed in the qld modifications handbook. (ask engineer) from memory it was approx 800kg, which would scrape through, but find an engineer and ring them. -

Thanks guys, will hit the 1/4 for some laughs, see how it compares to the commo. will keep the offroad updates coming too! Sounds good ella, shoot us your number, always keen to get some crew offroad. Exhaust is all done, sounds like a damn moo moo commodore, wanted it quieter but there is only room for one muffler. Goes hard, shifts hard, and is an absolute pleasure to drive, the missus is going to love it. Steering is lighter because of the commo pump even with the 33s, seriously drives like a much nicer car now, very happy! -

yeehaa! progress! nearly time for some off road action. We have plans for landcruiser park first weekend in may. I mounted the ecu, fuses and relays behind and beside the glovebox. glovebox is now slightly smaller, but at least puter is out of water zone. Also bought a b+m shifter because i was too lazy to play around with a factory one. that backfired, as the new lever for the gearbox hit the tailshaft, and i had to custom the whole things anyways! Should have stuck with a factory shifter, the console would have been easier too. Fitted a thermo, just fits between the pulleys on the engine. No room for shrouding, will see how it goes anyways, could modify radiator support to give some more room i think. Also fitted an oil cooler for the auto, Decided to stick with the proper brake style joins that the commo had, so got the flaring tool and made up some hard lines to suit. This list is done and dusted... bleed brakes (cause of diff change) charge lt don't work? Wire oil light up (can't find the damn wire) transfer case oil both diffs oil auto shifter (coming from usa) reverse lt hook up start p+n only wired Mount ecu + relay board Clamp battery down mount throttle cable properly zorst car Is now at the exhaust shop, dropped it off this afternoon. So, left to do is ......get a rwc and mod plates. then: wire rear locker skids fit all bash plates make sill protection -

thanks men! yep true, pretty slack. Haven't had much spare time lately, and what i do get is donated to the pajero, will be booking that in for rwc and mod plates in the next week or so. So if that goes well all spare time will be back on the ke30!
