  1. Yes i do man, the fastest car i have been in this year is probably my pajero! :o paint done, panels hung, but not adjusted yet. Made some stainless brake lines too, both fronts done, still gotta do the rear. more stuff in undercoat awaiting some silver paint
  2. How did ya go little red spirit.
  3. wheel alignment. If you had it done recently don't go back there.
  4. pics! Good to hear its all happening. I would say, no, maybe, and no to the q's. Would probably mount triangled strut brace to the seam that runs along the firewall. if you are running a cage i would tie it into that.
  5. meh, rims are your choice. As mr ke30 said, its more about racing, smoking tyres, and holding it flat thorough every gear. ah. them were the days
  6. The most fun i have had in my corolla has been at powercruise, it is insane amounts of fun, and definately worth the coin.
  7. powercruise, do eet! would be insane to see them two blue ke30s cutting lap and racing on the track.
  8. ^ what he said, yes it is legal with the weight of your vehicle. It is however up to your engineers discretion what further upgrades your car needs to support the engine. diff, brakes, ect..................
  9. Hi mate, yep i am from the glorious hole of nambour. Not too many sunny coasters on here. Good to hear from another one.

  10. The thing still looks overrated as, i remember i probably read that article 30 times when i was a whole lot younger. still the same owner all these years?
  11. good move man, ive seen some bad things happen with cig lockers, would be even worse with your front wheels in the air!
  12. I know the car youre talking about, i have a feature in an old magazine when it had a fiat motor in it. I don't think the owner, or any of the owners have been on rollaclub. Its also been a fair while since i have seen the car surface, not sure if it is still around? Perhaps you could ask the general public any q's you have about modifying your rola.
  13. awesome car man, obviously presented better than even the pictures show. well done!
  14. This looks like a tidy shell as a starting point. i don't think you will have any trouble with your timeline, for the right person the conversion is relatively easy.
  15. meh, most por15 products are not what they crack them up to be. The por15 rust converter is about the same as any other one ive used. Fabz, don't go buying a cheap ebay mig, you will wonder why you struggle so much to string a good weld. The biggest problem with cheap migs is the wire feed is often unreliable, and variable at best. Without a good wire feed you will never do a good weld. A second hand known brand welder would be a better option for a tight budget.
  16. nice work mate, tough ride.
  17. I love those examples, so good! Yeh, mig is best for all round use.
  18. No firewall mods required. For the auto there is a fair bit of enlarging required for bellhousing clearance, the rest of the tunnel will also be pretty tight, but will likly clear with minor adjustments. Cut all mounts off front crossmember and go from there, what platforms and mounts you choose is up to you. I used celica ta22 mounts on the rewelded corolla platforms. start from scratch for gearbox x member, it will turn out neater.
  19. That depends if the rust appears to be coming from behing the panel or in front. If the panel is rusting from where you can see it may be fine to just weld up the holes. If it is bubbling through from the other side it may require some serious cut and weld.
  20. escorts are not real roomy on the inside, some decent seats probably sort that out though. Pics? I'm a big fan of the mk1's, really cool shape.
  21. Ah, damn. Still waiting to borrow the breathing apperatus(spelling?) from the old man to finish the paint, the panels have been ready to go for a while now. Head has been sent off to bullet for cnc port job + larger valves fitted. Fitting the fuel tank this arvo, still need a new camera though- not a big fan of shopping. Still haven't seen your ride yet, don't you ever come to the land of the sunny coast? I guess redcliff is the end of the earth...
  22. This thread shows how to repair rust correctly, http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/52360-matts-55/ I understand not everyone has a welder, but anything less is crap. So if you don't have a welder simply clean it up as above, and seal it with something until you can find someone to do it properly.
  23. nice work mate, good to see someone snapped this up, keep the updates coming.
  24. nice shot, good to see the rolla's and mick still together, even if there is slightly less fj20 involved.
  25. Yep. boostlosing is the joke of the car world. And as above, if there was no response to the initial comment then thats where it would have stayed, now you've got the usual fools on the bandwagon. I think the biggest problem is that people rarely build their own cars, so they have no respect for the work and effort that goes into them,
