  1. Man that is one tidy ke20.
  2. Not even a comparison imo, cortina without a doubt.
  3. yikes, no wonder you're struggling to buy the cage, the cortina and the cressida both going places fast! Thats some solid power on 13psi.
  4. Mig welder is fine to use. Do a bit of practise on a spare old panel first.
  5. yikes! It will end up like mine, the neverending project car  don't bite off too much mate, i know i did, its been 3 yrs since mine has seen the road. :(
  6. Really nice progress here, moving along very quick. Definately this, 10mm minimum, and you will still need to skim the face.
  7. mmmm, dish.
  8. Yeh mate, i found the beast in the line/parking lot for the cruise session. The car is easily as overrated as it looks in photos. Are they the tyres you drag race on, 225/50/15 dot radials?
  9. I got to check out your rear setup while i was there, very impressive. The tube bar running along the floor up to the front of the car is a nice touch too. Some quality engineering there mate. :y:
  10. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/KE70-corolla-/110744440159?pt=AU_Cars&hash=item19c8e20d5f
  11. :lolcry: please post pics of said tubbed corolla.
  12. Was just talking about the ride in the vehicle, some people say you will fell every vibration the motor makes through the car. They are a great mounting method.
  13. Good to see more progress, i used rubber shackle rubbers on my pajero mounts and they are no different to normal ones, no vibration at all.
  14. My old man has an english wheel, as for how to use it. :hmm:
  15. Was a good day, saw a cream ke70 and a red ke70 cruising the track. Also 0KE30 that fast rotor one on here. also a full drag ke10 out there as well.
  16. Anything other than K&H, that is for ALL products, undercoat, etch, everything, avoid it like the plague. I have used a few, they all work well, the one i have atm is por15, it works well. If you want more effect from it, don't let it dry (keep adding) and use a scourer to scrub it as you wet it. :y:
  17. I will be heading to powercruise on saturday, weather looks like it will be nice too. Its been 3 years since i last entered :bash: :bash: :bash:
  18. Just read your post again, i will add that being acid, if it is wet, it will cause rust. So if you have your panel painted with dried rust converter and it gets moisture on it, it will rust much worse than the bare metal would have done.
  19. Rust converter is mostly acid. If you want strong there are automotive acids available, but you would need to buy gloves and breathing mask. Rust converter is designed to neutralize rust. Once used wash it off with water, and once dry use prepsol/ prep wash before painting your etch primer. I know some products say you can paint over them once dried, i wouldnt, and have seen some ugly results from doing so. but its your car.
  20. I have read on here that you can use the ke20 doors, but you need to weld the glass hoop from the 25 onto them. Would be worth doing a seach to confirm this, as that would make finding doors much easier. :y:
  21. Its actually not as bad as it looks initially, seems to be no roof or pillar rust, nothing around the screens, over the rear wheels looks ok too. you do have a lot of work ahead, keep the updates coming! :y:
  22. Hey, just stumbled across this, hayabusa throttles. they look pretty easy to serarate? http://www.performanceforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=841234355#post841234355 scroll down a bit and the pics are there.
  23. nice touch with the centre caps. Interested to see those wheels on the car, it could go either way i recon.
  24. RB20det is a much longer motor, with less to offer all round really. No idea with NCOP mate, no one knows, only internet rumour. My opinion only would say end of the year. I think you are pretty safe to think seriously about the conversion though, as it will happen, its just a question of when.
  25. As far as legality goes, cutting the firewall is a big not allowed. So if you can sqeeze it in there? under current laws the capacity of 2.5 is too large. weight of vehicle (930) x 2.5 but we will be getting ncop soon, the maths then changes to weight of vehicle x 2.75 930 x 2.75 = 1jz ke55 with no radiator?
