Ke30, Sr20 Sleeper Build. New Pics...
oh what a nissan feeling! replied to stealth20b's topic in Rollaclub Rides
Good to hear this is still cracking along. Fuel system? Convert the bung in the tank to a hose end fitting, then through floor to surge tank under car? whatever youre keen on really. a lot of people drop an in tank pump straight into the sender hole of the tank, though this idea is not the best for a boosted machine, fuel starvation = bent conrod/big blow up. Keep the updates coming mate. :y: -
Does This Sound Right?

This thread is a great read, and with some of the info you've found on this engine its a damn tempting option. That FC20 bottom end design is insane, best ive seen factory. As regard the sr20 cradle, there is an aftermarket option available that is very similar to the fc20 made by a place called JHH PERFORMANCE, as ben said it not really required, especially for $1350 a pop. As for the main cap design of this engine, check out the 2jz design, scott broke a couple at 1300 horsepower and no sooner. There is no reason why the 2az wouldnt handle plenty. -

As a road legal car, 3s beams with an earlier bottom end + turbo. Nissan VG20 2.0 V6, it would fit well, very strong engine too. Or if i was trying to go faster, a 4g63 mitsubishi. Under the new laws that are coming soon to QLD a 2.5 will be allowed, so 1JZ would be a definate bang for buck option. It would fit. Or the nissan ka24, the americans love them, but you don't see them much here. So i guess the answer is i don't know, any of those options :hmm: . Although i seriously nearly changed everything to beams earlier in the year, luckily common sense prevailed or this project would never end! -

I'm looking for a high 9 secound 1/4 mile pass. Depending on a few variables that will take between 400-450 real world horsepower at the wheels. Now if you put that on the dyno, that should be somewhere between 300 and 900 hp depending on what shop you use, and how good their dyno spits out dumb numbers. I know of a shop here on the coast where i would get a definate 650+rwhp dyno graph to show all of my mates. :laff: -

Yeh damn ash trays, the door trims are all stock ones. I actually priced getting the rear trims made without the ashtray but at $150 each i decided to stick with them. The wheels are made by weld, weld also make the centreline so they are very similar. Both look cool with good dish, but mine have stuff all so they look kinda ghey, and need to diappear in a world of gloss black. Cage is tied to the front and centre pillars, you can see them in the pics but it blends in pretty well with all of that beige everywhere. The goal for end of year is to have a complete looking car, motor in and complete as possible as well. Getting it all sorted and running will be for 2012. -

thanks! agreed, i think the stockies look the best. Them drag wheels are not growing on me at all. I think they will turn gloss black in the near future. Will definately be knocking up some wide steelies for the street. -

wheels. wanted convos, then these popped up for $1000 with new tyres in my desired size. A few new bits, reg. and titanium valve retainers. Door handles on. Also bought a trade tool die grinder to port match the head to the quads. Motor is ready to finish assembly now, all the bits are there, just waiting on some lazy hr holden owner to finish with the torque wrench. pulled the glass in the front. dash pad in. rear door cards in, need a new set of locks to fit the front ones. can't find the armrest screws either. I also started to fit the carpet, its not moulded, so there is a bit involved. -

Scotts car is not yet fixed from the big blow up. Was a good day, drag racing was quite disjointed, lots of oil downs, and just big gaps in between class runs. I swear it took a full day to see 2 hours of racing. On the other hand the development in this scene has been insane, the racing i did see was so fast, and so worth the drive down there. -
It is ok, but not ideal. In order to get the best out of the whole system a copper earth cable should be run the length of the car. I have known of a few V8 powered vehicles that have been unable to start once the battery has been put in the boot, add a good earth and they started fine. Voltage is what moves electricity, 12 is not many, so compensate with good cable size (not the steel body of your car) for low resistance.

Nice work mate, looks good. :y: This is not boostcruising though, so spelling.....

How Do I Get A Compliance Plate In Qld?
oh what a nissan feeling! replied to Alexrx7's topic in Automotive Discussion
I have been through this qld transport before. My eventual advise from qld transport was: You cannot get a new compliance plate. providing you have proof of prior registration in your name you will be able to get through rwc and rego. Selling vehicle would not be possible. My mechanic then refused rwc due to lack of compliance plate. :hmm: I imagine you would get a different story from qld transport every time you go there, so best be finding out for yourself though.
