  1. Yeh definately full weight, and was hoping to run et streets but may fall short in mph with this size turbo. I hope to pull a low 10 sec pass on the 225/50 tyres i have now, they will give me a chance to set the rear end up, and learn a few things about transbrake / 2 step. Learn as i go, and hopefully not make too many mistakes on the way
  2. Not sure mate, perhaps try your question on this forum instead? http://www.boostcruising.com.au/forums/index.php?act=idx
  3. The whole wheel black i was thinking, at jamboree heaps of the cars had their drag wheels painted black, looked pretty tough i thought. I mostly bought those wheels thinking they would be really light for racing. they are not as light as I though they would be though, I'm thinking even some custom steelies in the same size would be similar weight. Might do some experimenting with that at some point and if the alloys lose I will sell them off again.
  4. An engine conversion requires a mod plate, if it has a mod plate you cannot drive it.
  5. Thanks heaps mate, I'm pretty happy with how its coming together. :y: Pretty minor undates really, I have been painting a few things in silver lately ready to bolt on in various spots, bumper brackets, grill, sill steps, ect. Carpet is now finished, motor still not torqued together,:hmm: I have pulled to old crown wagon out of the corner of the yard again, have fitted later model brake master, booster and disks, so the thing now stops really well. Will get some mod plates and hit the road soon i think, will be a cool cruiser.
  6. Not to bag the supercharger, but when shooting for that level of power turbo is a much more sensible option. You will always make more power with a turbo, and you will achieve your goal a whole lot easier. I can see the point in polishing the turd, providing the spending is done smart. Some of the setups on here are pushing out 120rwkw quite easily, that is a decently fast car at 700-900kg. Although i would bet probably about 10% of the sc12/14 5k beasts idle, or even run half decent. From what i have seen the majority get sold on to the next person whos ambitious enough to have a go.
  7. Well, isn't it lucky noone got the chance at this event, as the blockade was at the exit to the grounds. Isn't is great how cars that are on trailers because they have their burnout tyres on the back from participating in a sanctioned event are defected for trying to do the right thing.
  8. Yep, had to wait till after 5 to leave the grounds, there was only about 5 cars left so they finally left. Even the cars on trilers were getting raped, if they has any plates or rego sticker on them. Welcome to australia, its a free country provided you live your life precisely how they want. :eatlead:
  9. Nice work man, engineered and all! One of the most well built cars i have seen on this forum, nice work.
  10. Starts at 9 apparently and goes through to 6 in the arvo, should be a full day.
  11. Damn, refund then purchase garrett?
  12. Did you have the throttle wide open on compression test? Just checking :) 100 is even way too low for the other cylinders.
  13. it goes into the arvo usually.
  14. Wow. Mate they will sting you hard to put that stuff together. Things like this should really be diy learn as you go, or else you end up spending lots of moneys with very little to show for it. :hmm:
  15. Probably take out some barriers too, just cos i can.
  16. This weekend peoples!!!!!! Looks like I will be smoking up the 31's in the s/c pajero.
  17. :lolcry: This thread was a good read until everyone started giving sensible advice. I liked the 17 year old better when he was angry.
  18. This is not yet applicable in qld, but will be very soon....
  19. Cool, i guess i will go with front doors no spacers then. I just realised that perhaps they are all the same, maybe i have lost two of the spacers. :hmm:
  20. Yeh, very close to the same, i didnt even notice the little spacer until now, its only about 4mm thick.
  21. Ok, so i was just about to install the little light switches things into my 4 doors on the ke30, the ones that turn the interior light on and off when you open the door. But, they appear to different front and rear, there is a small spacer on two of them. Can someone please have a look and tell me if the spaced ones go on the front doors, or the rear doors? thanks!
  22. Bwaahaaaaahaaaaa :lolcry: :lolcry: :lolcry: look at that kid, man that is gold, sounds like towoomba breeds them well!
