  1. 13.6 @ 100mph, so what stall converter are you running? Should be a fun car all the same.
  2. awesome, love the colour too.
  3. cool, nice progress.
  4. skidpan = yes. I would be there for sure.
  5. Has the engine got good connection on the earth straps back to the chassis / battery?
  6. Very cool. Is that a factory steering wheel? Did they make them in brown? Damn that dash looks good.
  7. 760kg, So its a ke25...? Um, no. Non turbo is weight x 3.0. turbo is weight x 2.5.
  8. I could convert a bush basher rolla to sr20det for 2k. It would have standard brakes, diff, everything. Cut and shut unbalanced tailshaft. Gravity fed surge tank. At the end of the day you get what you paid for, a pos with a blown diff. that you couldnt give away.
  9. The set weight in QLD for a ke20 is 820kg from memory. weight x 2.5 = 2050 cc. ke25 is not so lucky with a set weight of 760kg from memory so it misses the mark. ke20 with 2 litre turbo is a legal conversion in QLD. I have seen plenty done in nsw as well.
  10. Sounds like a good idea, lots of new bits. smarter than waiting for it to pop and then fixing it , probably a whole lot cheaper too.
  11. Mate there is a members rides section on this forum, have a read through and decide for yourself. 4g63 sr20 ca18 4ag 3sg As for how much power a ca18det in a ke would have, about the same as a ca18det in a silvia i would think........
  12. Thanks mate! Nah still have to use the commo reserviour. I was going to nudge the engine over 10mm but the rear of the tunnel didnt have the room on that side, so the engine would have sat on a slight angle. Rear mount is way overkill in the steel thickness, shops werent open that day.
  13. I see no issue with the ball joint providing it doesnt bind. Unbolt the strut and check how much movement it has left in it and all will be fine. If they aren't already new it might pay to replace them now that they are working in a different area to before.
  14. Going up the cape this year so been busy prepping the pajero and camper lately. Also the missus bought an r34 unregoed, so had to do 100'000 service, including cam + crank seals + water pump + belt, installed new blitz coilovers, ect. Its now all regoed and hit willowbank on friday 14.2 @ 98 mph.....crazy fast!!! The rola got some work yesterday, Made gearbox crossmember, Its all tacked together, needs finish weld and a good tidy up. Also decided to re-make the engine mounts using shackle rubbers as well, the ta22 mounts would not have survived. Way too late on this one, as i need to drop out the crossmember again, and paint it again. still have to do the other half of the engine mounts. Decided to change the roll cage 'dentist' bar that wraps around back of the front seats, it needs to go higher and straighter than it is, so out it comes... Waiting on a welding blanket to weld this back in again.
  15. This place must have a good feel to it, I'm still here and its been a long time now! I must say though I find on this forum people are generally thankless, I have spent money and time to help people out, with very rarely a simple thanks.
  16. And to finish off for that perfect metal shine a puple scotch brite disk on a sander. $30 very well spent.
  17. Was really cool, expected not much, was blown away by the quality and size of the turnout. There is only one thing cooler than the sound of a supercharged v8. 10 supercharged v8's!! :lolcry:
  18. yes, very depressing, need more wheels + smokeshow. :(
  19. yep, some seriously tidy work there mate, I have seen very few rolla that even come close. :y:
  20. Roll cages will be ruled out with ncop. There is no ncop in qld as yet, 1000 internet rumours, but if you speak to any engineer in qld they know nothing of it.
  21. This is ls1 may be of use http://www.performanceforums.com/forums/showthread.php?67277912-Returnless-fuel-system-any-drama-converting-to-it That sucks, it should take them all of 20 minutes to weld up the oil pickup.
  22. love ya work mate, good vids too!
  23. Will do! soon, just ordered blitz coilovers.
  24. Thanks mate, it could be a fair while between updates now though. I bought an r34 skyline for the missus, have been busy doing the 100,000k service this week, coilovers to fit next week too. I'm also going up the cape this year so i am changing my camper trailer to 4x4 spec. extra chassis, axel, poly block, ect.., Plus i have a lot of maintenance to do to the pajero to get it up to scratch for the journey, looking at intercooling it before then too.
