  1. lots of people have, but then you can't drive it on the road anymore, hope you have a large paddock.
  2. thanks for the tip champ, the other side had a lead pencil in it, thinking about changing that too. Finally pulled my finger out and got the cage mod plated today. 4 seats still too. was wanting to get my seats done at the same time, but can't find the time to do the seats. So we have: LA1 LB1 LD2 LM1 LA3 LG2 LH8 on four different plates.....will be 5 with the seats, may as well paint the car blue.
  3. hmmm, there is some progress, but not alot. My came york trip is in two weeks, i have spent the last 2 months preparing for it, practically re-building my camper trailer, and also some serious work to the pajero. my welder died today, so not happy.
  4. ^^^ what he said, there are two sumps available for the jz engines, a front and a mid from memory.
  5. nice powers man, well done!
  6. Looks like a good fit, well done on the diy, ive never had the patience to do my own exhaust.
  7. 9'' rear, and 7'' front with just the lips rolled under. With stretch and guard mods add a couple of inches to that.
  8. thanks guys! I used the same method and rubbers on my pajero, it has worked really well and creates no engine vibes through the car at all.
  9. should be able to turn the converter by hand through the starter motor hole. Are you sure you seated the coverter onto the oil pump properly??
  10. I don't know either of thoses things, i have been there with groups years ago. it was $50 each for the day for quite a few cars at the time. I do remember the pad had to be wet - they wouldnt allow any skid marks to be left on the pad at all.
  11. Nice work man, will be back better than ever.
  12. I have been told they use a press to reset leafs. I have not tried it but an old guy told me thats how he used to do it.
  13. Only just noticed this awesome setup, love your work mate. I am a big fan of v8's, add a gt42 and nothing is cooler.
  14. This was interesting, thought i would share. So this would explain why ke2X never came convertible.... http://www.gumtree.c...ible/1001863461
  15. I heard skidpan at gympie can be hired out again these days, they stopped for a few years but apparently its do-able again? Skidpan is where you learn to drive your car properly and legally. The pad has sprinklers in it too, for people like carlos who clearly couldnt spin a wheel.
  16. wow, nearly done, looking so good!
  17. thanks. 3 mm plate, 4mm would have been better for the front plate.
  18. New engine mounts made. removed ready to finish weld
  19. 820kg i thought. In qld we have official weights listed in the approvals book, that doesnt mean that applies to adelaide. If you do alot of work yourself your budget will allow the beams quite easily IMO, along with everything else on the list.
  20. Awesome. Beams for sure. Good to see a realistic budget too.
  21. I made it a bit late again, Reeds rolla had plenty of attention. A heap of different cars there every time, so its always worth a look, brisbane lost the footy anyway so i missed nothing.
  22. Man that console turned out nice. lol at superelectrics comments, its so true!
  23. Caltracs and a decent pair of tyres will put every bit of your power to the ground. Although given that your motor is for sale, perhaps you are planing on having more power?
  24. What are you trying to achieve Carlos? As above 4 link can be approved. Another one is KV at caloundra, he will do it, and approve it tubs and all. Anything in those pictures is the same level of engineering as a 4 link anyway, if you can engineer that, than you can engineer a 4 link.
