  1. Yeh been here at times, absolute last resort, prices are out of control excessive in my experience. you really are better off doing anything else to get the parts you need.
  2. if you're over there just ask the locals, for $5 they will probably take you there, or pretend to................
  3. I am wrecking a k50 gearbox, might be able to help if the bit you need is part of the gearbox?
  4. I had an sr20 box in the ke30, and yeh i had no issues with the shifter position, The problem is the chunky housing around the shifter means lots of cut/weld to the seat floor brace to get the engine and box sitting level. Alot of people just hang the box down lower to miss everything, but alot of people use zippy ties for engine mounts too. Looking at my ke25 now and I don't want to have to do that, even with the rb20 box I'm not sure it will clear that floor brace completely.
  5. Cool thanks for that, i knew i had seen it on here but couldnt find it either, bookmark this time.
  6. Just wondering how much shorter the rb20 gearbox is compared to the sr20 gearbox?? Has anyone measured the rb20 box end to end. thanks~matt
  7. If you look around you can pick up an sr20de complete for $200- $300. Later when conversion is complete and you want more power put a turbo on it, run 10psi, and you will have more power than the mooooo will ever make.
  8. They arent worth much at all really, but that price would be a fait price if it has very little rust, and has a working motor. give the thing a good wash before you buy it you may be surprised what you find, good or bad.
  9. my moojero from last year, didnt like spinning 31" tyres!!
  10. I dropped a 3tc in my ke30 , was very little improvement over the 4k to be honest, was quite dissapointed at the time. So don't expect much to start with. The design of the chamber and piston on the 3tc head is pretty bad design for na power, but is very suitable for turbo with the right pistons.
  11. man that is very cool, lots of scaffold!
  12. Thanks guys! The dash is acrylic, colour matched to my seat vinyl, it also has 'flattener' added, and 'flex', so its a matte finish and can be sprayed on flexible surfaces as well. I always prefer 2 pack paint, but it can't be flattend to this level easily. Yep Reed, hopefully autoone is still happening when this hits the road, my brothers v8 turbo hr will be at the next meet I'm pretty sure.
  13. ok a bit of an update. I bought a couple of oil temp gauges, for engine temp and gearbox temp. so the dash is ready to go in, just need to install the two electric heater/ fans under the dash, and still waiting on my speedo cable. where the fans are going to be sitting under Brake master had a leak, so pulled it out again and bought a rebuild kit for it. I have started to buy some of the fuel fittings for under the rear of the car, and in the engine bay. still getting my head around ordering the correct parts over the net but i have only got one wrong so far. flared some of the hard lines with the earls fittings for gearbox cooler and fuel lines. more bits still in the mail. solid lifters arrived too, there is nothing under the cam covers yet, but these were the bit i was waiting for. Will do the shims soon. Lots more dummy ups on the intake side too, lots of stuff hiding under the quads and plenum now. Vacuum tank, idle air control, fuel reg and lines, throttle cable, water lines and all the wires. not much room left. Just need some ally welds and i can bolt all this up for good.
  14. love your work. I don't see a problem, and would do it myself without a doubt.
  15. great to hear an update on this thing, pretty soilid engine build. So why not the 7k built instead? why no exhaust porting?
  16. nice work, its been a pretty quick build so far, will be a fun little car.

  18. 50mm is big, I went 35mm on mine. Bigger is definately better in this case though.
  19. I disagree with option 2, other than that theyre all good. Personally i would go the gloss black. Matte black is a great way to make a nice car look like a pos.
  20. cool, you may as well keep us all updated, i don't care that its not a corolla anymore.
  21. Msd make a dis4 and a dis6, made for 4 and 6 cylinder multi-coil engines.
