Buy a KE55 5 speed. The shifters are in different positions (the KE70 one is a little further back. Apparently, this requires cutting and bending). How tall are you? My mates KE35 with a '55 5 speed in it has a excellent shifter position, I am 6'2. Stick with the 4.1 jap diff dude. Best diff for your situation! Biggo, 4.5 diff for $600? You gotta be dreamin to ask for that man, you can pick up ke36 wagons for a couple of hundred!

Yeah, I much prefer the four door Skylines than the two. I see two door GTS skylines as ricer cars, whereas if I see a done up four door I look at it as a fast car.. Like the difference between a stocko Commo with a kit and zorst and a SS, basically :)

My '81 KE55 (e series) had a swaybar on the diff. Its the only reason that I couldn't be f@$ked taking the diff out before I sent it to scrap, because I was too lazy to work out the go with swaybars, haha. You can't get a 4.5 from a KE70 dude, I discussed this with you on MSN. They're 3.9s, and 4.5s from KE36's. I don't recommend you using the 4.5 for road use. Also, the 4.5 is a 'jap' ratio, therefore it won't fit your BW. Anyway, someone with some more experience may be able to shed some light on this subject. Dan.

I got into Corollas because I had been looking for six months everywhere for a Datsun Sunny, and couldn't find one this side of $350.. that was nearly a year and a half ago, I didn't have a job and 350 bucks was a damned lot of money to me.... Fast forward the six months, I gave up and started looking at Corollas, within a month of looking for one I had two, one bought for a bottle of bourbon and the other was kindly given to me by a member on these forums and toymods... Quickly I saw the potential of the little cars, the simplicity and damn, the reliablility of the things amazes me to no end... So basically, cheap thrills.. Anyway, end rant. Most people have heard that before no doubt.

They would just directly wire one up to your engine, its not that hard and they probably do it all the time...

They look exactly the same! There is a bloke on these forums that is selling a flare kit, his name is 'rob1' and his thread is in the for sale section, they look hot as. Can't help you with the splitter though, unless you want to go to the extremes of modifying a Mach 1 one to fit. You can buy fibreglass repros of them on eBay from a bloke in Adelaide, however would need quite alot of modifying to get them to fit. Hope that helps. Dan.
