  1. I don't know what pisses me off more, the fact he came onto this forum and said that, or the fact that he'll never come back on because hes too pussy to face the truth.
  2. Haha i'm happy because its mine. Amazed that it managed to get from Freo to Nollamara (40 kays) with no gearbox oil :D I'm planning on doing a bit of work to it, making myself happy with it, then upgrading to a newer car (either EF or VP, then go to a EL or VR/VS) Hopefully I'll have a decent car by the time I get my licence... still a year until my L's :P So it leaves me a bit of time to get up to a nice car. Theoretically ;).
  3. Get f@$ked, moron. People don't necesarily buy cars that they like 100%. A true car enthusiast will buy a car that he see's as an excellent base, whether it needs work or is a overrated stocker to start with. As you can see, this V6 Rolla is a good base. It has the engine, trans and whatnot thats needed as a starting point. From what I've heard, Rolla Boys friend (no, not 'so called friend') is putting the engine and gearbox into a different shell and starting from scratch to make a well built car. Also, when your from Canberra, and the cars in Melbourne, and you buy it sight unseen - pic's don't neccesarily tell the truth. Oh, and sure. He did an alright job. The car made it back from Melbourne to Canberra. The crossmembers hold the engine and gearbox in. It runs. But - so does my mates paddock basher. I'm sick of people like you coming into this forum, stirring up shit with well known members and f@$king off as you please. Fit in or f@$k off.
  4. Madtoy is his KE30.. My old mans been given a VY SS ute (read: LS1) for the next six months or so to use... and f@$k, do those things have some power in a 1500kg ute, letalone a sub-tonne rolla! Bloody mad! Dan.
  5. G'day all.. Bought an EA Falcon off a forum member for a bargain price last week, took delivery of it on Friday night.. its my boonger and I love it ;). As it sits, it runs the 3.9L powerhouse (!), three speed auto (should have put oil in it for the trip home) and an unknown ratio diff. Its 'chardonnay' in colour, complete with faded paint! Interiors great except for a few little bits and pieces, which I'll replace sooner rather than later.. Plans I plan on tidying up the interior by getting another centre console (this ones rooted, chronic plastic cancer), seat covers and floor mats. Already has a good sound system (4x45w Sanyo CD, 6" Sony splits and old school AKAI 6x9's), so all I might do is get a sub.. doubt it though. As for the exterior, theres a few things I've done (see pics), but I need to hunt down a RH back door, and if I can find a car the same colour, I'll grab both RH doors and the bonnet and boot for good measure (paints faded or rooted in those locations). Might see if I can get a cheap (ie: very cheap) paint job off some mates in same colour. As soon as I got the car, I gave it a quick clean and removed all the randomly placed stickers on the back windscreen, and put a K&N sticker on it.. good for 10+ hp. Arty farty shot
  6. Much better ;)
  7. Wrong.. VN and series 1 VP were the only ones to use the Buick 3.8, Series 2 VP to VY used the Ecotec motor (in many different guises). They are reasonably good motors.. if you ever look into upgrading to an Ecotec, VR is the best model to get (from what I know, VR's were the most powerful Ecotecs). You definately got the VN for the right price, you'll be able to fetch a fair bit for the manual crossmember if you try and sell it on a commodore forum... I love the idea of this project anyway mate.. I'd be interested if you wanted to replicate the mounts that your using. Also, in the VT-VY range of Ecotec, a supercharged version was offered from the factory... Some guys have been doing some mental figures with these engines, and often are looked down on because of the popularity of the GenIII. No doubt one of these superchargers (or superchargers that they are upgrading to) would be of benefit to the Buick motor.. from what I've heard, running two SC14's is a popular supercharging method for the Ecotec motors.. Anyway mate, good luck with the project. *Subscribes*
  8. Harleys are loud. Nothing will replicate the sound of a Harley.. especially the harley drag bike.. But the most ear piercing sound that I have ever heard was the old drag bike.. blown kwaka.. painful to listen to.. painful to smell.. beautiful to watch ;) 'Nitro. The only good reason for a grown man to cry'
  9. I'd buy one
  10. I was talking to Rolla Boy about this... funny, I've never seen a Corolla in WA with a mirror that is crumbling.. whereas alot of you blokes over east have never seen a Corolla without a crumbling mirror :P Our cars just rust more :P, fair trade-off?
  11. :P Poor quality interiors make baby jesus cry... "f@$k that lgal niger over"... :P
  12. If i drive my car on the road I often get stares. Probably because the cars unlicenced with no windows or interior.. or exhaust for that matter.. but its all good. "But its cool bruv', i've got the crankin' EA Falcon now, I'll be pimpin" Oh, and I thought that JiP_01's thread 'Ride On Database' was another thing similar to his Corolla database.. only that he was doing it with ride on lawnmowers this time....... twisted.....
  13. "Uh, I'll just go get the thickshake mix... OH MY f@$kING GOD..." Good times :P
  14. You and Nick should team up man, do some good pinstriping work like this as a template and get Nick to make them into stickers... I reckon its a good idea, anyways. Love the work man
  15. Yeah, its got Superlows all round, Boge Turbo struts up front and GT Munroes out back. A strut brace has been fitted also. As for the brakes, AE82 Twincam discs and single piston calipers have also been fitted.
  16. :lock_folder: Exactly my point. Currently arranging to go and see it this weekend.
  17. Well, how do you think this car sounds for $3,000
  18. Hmmm, thats food for thought. This bloke reckons that he's spent $10k on the car. It means nothing to me, but its an indication of what hes done. I'm going to have a chat to my old man about it when he gets home tomorrow and arrange to go and have a look at it. Seems to be an oppurtunity too good to miss. Dan.
  19. Powerglide?
  20. By the sounds of things, you need something to put your f@$king hand on you moron. If you actually thought about it, this guy has built not one, but TWO V8 Corollas before, one of them is extremely quick down the strip. Anyway man, good luck with this. This will be one mean rolla, one bloody fast one at that... I can honestly say that this would probably be the first conversion of its kind in the Australia, probably the first internationally... what a f@$king achievement! Gotta get pics dude, by any chance did you buy the KE20 off a bloke in Beldon? Good luck mate Dan.
  21. There was this Hayubusa with a Hayabusa engine in it once! Actually, there was heaps of them, and for some reason they all seem to do consistent nine to ten second passes. Shit those things are fast.
  22. Pictures
  23. Well, to cut a long story short, I've found a AE92 (?, its a 92 model) with a 20v in it for a price that I consider to be reasonably cheap for the car at hand... and I'm looking at purchasing it. The specs are as follows; - 20v motor, silvertop bottom end with blacktop head, manifold, throttle bodies. Apparently he used the silvertop bottom end as he didn't like the thickness of the blacktop rods, and preferred the compression ratio (11:1 to 10:1, or perhaps it was the other way around) of the silvertop. Backed by a standard 4AGE Blacktop 5 speed. - Super lows all round, Boge Turbo struts fitted up front and GT Munroe struts out back. Strut brace fitted. - Front discs have been upgraded to AE82 Twincam discs. - 17x7 'Gmax' shadow chrome rims with 205's The car is registered in WA (no problem about RWC or anything upon transfer). Doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it, the car is in overall good condition except for a small dent on one of the front guards and some buggered boot plastics. Boot plastics isn't a problem, front guard isn't too much of a problem. Basically, before I jump head first into this, I want to know how much these cars are worth. I know that only a year ago we purchased a standard 92 model 4af powered sedan for 3,800; which was a good deal at the time.. hence my interest in it. I also know that a 20V SX was recently purchased by someone I know for 6500. Driveshafts both been replaced this year. Cheers in advance, Dan.
  24. I absolutely laughed at that! Nice fiat too :lock_folder:
