  1. I really like that car. I guess its a Chrysler, not a Mitsubishi? Off-topic: Oh, and :robdixon: I saw your skills at the Perth Royal Show in the stormriders. f@$kin sweet. Saw you on the big screen too :y:
  2. Don't do it man... unless you can get a kit off a ae86 (forgot who it was, ROLLN_03 or something had a ae86 with a overrated front bar) it will probably look like shit. Needs to be square to flow with the lines of the car.
  3. :2thumbs:
  4. Take one of your wheels off for each photo (making sure its the opposite corner to where your taking the photo) to make it look like its got 'hydros bro' for the fully sick handling. Neonz, bro - lots of em' Make a bonnet scoop out of half an old trash can and paint it black. Put a holden badge on it (one of a VL would do) and everyone will automatically infer its a ricer. And write on your back windows with white texta... S/S 8.76 You'll be fully sick
  5. My apologies Brian. Didn't even notice about the PM mate. I've run out of stickers, they've all been sent out to the WA members at one or another point in time. However, you can still get stickers... PM Nick (hes the bloke who owns/runs this site) and he should be able to sort out a sticker for you one way or another :jamie: Dan.
  6. Rollcage looks the goods too.. mmmm, smooth rollcage :jamie:
  7. 4k and 3k standard heads are the same, from what I understand. I've been known to be wrong regarding heads though, haha, on many occasions. The 3k bigport head is different however, and is rare as rocking horse shit...
  8. I used to be a rather active member on datsun1200.com, while I was looking for a Datto Sunny. I found the site was a bloody friendly site, and the members were all not only enthusiasts, but knew exactly what they were talking about as well. It was a friendly environment, and if you asked a blatantly obvious question, you weren't shot down in flames... they would take the time and answer your question, or make a friendly referral to where I could find the answer. To be honest, I actually came across RollaClub browsing through it looking for a Corolla to buy from the classifieds. I had no real intention of staying around.. but the friendliness of a few members made me realise how friendly and nice that the forum was. For example, when I'd posted my wanted ad' in the classifieds, i had about 7 or 8 people wishing me luck and being friendly. Thats what drawn me to Rollaclub... However, these days in my limited time on the net (either at work, school, or in the car most of the time), I've found that I've almost been steering away from RollaClub. Not because I don't like it here, but because a small minority of absolute f@$kwits with no commitment to the club, come on and expect every obvious question to be delivered to them on a silver platter, even though they only really asked the question because it had just popped into there head - seemed like a good idea at the time. Now, everyone has f@$kin' noticed that this is pissing alot of the well known members off. Everyone is fed up with the bullshit that comes from these questions - half of the mechanical section is bullshit uneducated questions coming from people who probably drive there mothers Civic most days of the week.. who expect the answers on the silver platter, as mentioned earlier. But what is a f@$k around, is people either don't post at all (this has a ripple effect in the other forums) or post simply verbal abuse at everyone... is that the bloody environment that we want to be in? Don't get me wrong. I love Rollaclub. Because, thats what it is - we are a club. We are the small minority of motoring enthusiasts that are enthusiastic about modifying Corollas. We live for this shit. Sadly, we have a small minority of f@$kwits that want to ruin our friendly environment - and these f@$kwits are making this club run downhill. Combine that with a team of grumpy admin and mods (with good f@$kin' reason... and this club will die. Dan.
  9. Have you got a buildup page of the KE20 with the RB30ET? hehe
  10. f@$king oath it is driveable. Anyone noticed how you don't see that car anymore? And how Eddy Tassone has a f@$kin insane VY SS ute now? Eddy Tassone wrote his VH off here in Perth, taking a mate out for a joyride in it. It was drivable, he raced it, he dynoed it, he drove it.... a 1500hp car. Legend. I have plenty of mates with VNs... while they all say they are generally shitboxes - they are also reliable. But currently I got a hankering for a R31 skyline running a RB30ET.. I'm looking at the costs of doing this at the moment (has anyone got prices for the VL turbo kits, and what exactly is involved.. could ya PM me) and I'm selling my EA to fund part of it (woot).
  11. Oi man I'm pretty sure those wires on the tacho are supposed to be connected to something... just trying to be discrete man Good progress :D
  12. Welcome to Perth mate, and sorry about the late greeting - been in QLD for the last 10 days. If you park your car somewhere, you can service it in the same place :D bloody easy to check the vital signs, if it needs tuning and you can't do it yourself take it to a mechanic I guess. $120 for a service isn't too bad though. Use anything, the 4-AC isn't a performance engine, it won't really make all that much of a difference. Don't use the 10W-40 though, stick to the 20W-50 mate... weights do make a difference. Nah, but it'll give you 10hp+ instead. At least thats what I experienced when i put the K&N sticker on my Falcon. Depends what size sticker, too. I have also came to the conclusion that the supercharger on my stocko Falcon kicks in when it sees loose surfaces/
  13. There is nothing wrong with them... just, they really f@$kin don't suit a corolla if your looking for handling, but by f@$k they make good burnout cars.. Pretty much every second car at the Narrogin Revheads is powered by a Ecotec V6, because they're cheap, simple, and f@$kin hard to blow up.
  14. Yep. I get to race in the season that I turn 17 though, so two and a half seasons... still, I should have finished my car at the start of the season instead of worrying about the POS Falcon and getting pissed on the weekend ;) Why not? If its a rusted out piece of shit like the majority of the cheap ke20s over here, its better getting another two years of life on the track than living in sims metal or some shit...
  15. Haha I don't care what it is, as long as its in my car and passes scrutineering, I am sick to death of being lazy and stalled on this one bit, I'm not even sure yet whether the KE20 cage will fit a KE30-55, if not, I'll go out and buy a $200 KE20 and strip the f@$ker... I just want to be on the bloody track and I don't care how much it costs me..
  16. KE55 coupe, speedway car. Its a bumper to bumper cage, we put them in, in three sections (front, cage and back). How come you ask that?
  17. Dan

    The Kesev!

Nah, T50s were in AE86/AE71s, and since hes doing the 4AGZE swap I'd presume that he'll want to back it up with the T series box, its stronger apparently EDIT: WTF, when I opened up this thread that comment was the last comment made... sorry about the late reply, lol
  18. G'day. I'm slowly getting less and less time to work on the car, and the rollcage is getting rustier and now all the f@$king work (15-20hrs) that I've put into sanding it back and priming has gone to shit because of the piss poor weather that Perth has been suffering lately. Pissed off :y: Anyway, I had the brilliant idea of giving the rollcage to a sandblaster/powdercoater as it is now, and get it back as one nice, smooth, rust free powdercoated black rollcage ;) Just want to know a ballpark figure of what it would cost to get done.. Yes, tomorrow I will call to see how much it is exactly, but its plaguing my mind at the moment and since I'm going to be busy as f@$k tomorrow with school and packing for brissy.... 'you join the dots'. Anyway, ballpark figure on this rollcage :y: Pic attached Thanks, Dan
  19. Grind out the rust with a $10 angle grinder and bog it with a $30 tin (1.5kg, you won't use half of it) of 'body filler'. Sand it with your $10 orbital sander or your $0 hands and wa-la, your own job done ;) just remember to prime it with $2.95 paint. Even if you have to buy all the tools to do it, its still going to cost less than $50... and its near on impossible to stuff it up too badly :y:
  20. Yeah, thats what I thought about first :) Will be missed, couldn't believe it when I heard it... At least he died doing something he loved
  21. I haven't actually known people to forge there log book because of insufficient hours.... The majority of the people I know that have forged there log books have pretty much been too lazy to write down every time they've driven, especially if they've been driving two or three seperate occasions on a day. So they just make it all up at the end of it... The anti-high performance car laws suck balls. I could do more damage in my mums ZZE122r Corolla than I could in my cousins 253 powered tonner, but they struggle to understand that. Yet, if I was in NSW, I could hop into a brand new SV6, do some killer burnouts and head to the highways for some 160+ crusing.. because thats what they're capable of. Its driver education thats at fault, both for you and the other drivers on the road. My 2c
  22. Oh yeah, and if your looking for a cheap daily.... I may be selling my EA... PM me
  23. $$$? Any chance of a link to a thread of which it is for sale in? Might know some people looking for newish rollas
  24. G'day mate and welcome to Perth! Like they all said, the 'quokka' is the best place to look. Its just like the trading post that you would have had back in Adelaide. Also, like they said, are you North or South of the river? I know theres a pretty nice KE30 in Balga (I don't actually know whether its nice, just apparently it is) for $550. Just a grannys old car from what I've heard. My mate is also looking at selling his KE35, but it really depends on what price range you are looking at. Anyways, have a good time. Dan
  25. Anyone know what the fuel consumption figures are for a JZA80 Supra? To be honest, what the f@$k is the point of having a small capacity engine if you can have a larger capacity engine that chews less fuel and makes the same, if not more, power than the smaller engine... But yeah, horses for courses, whatever floats your boat
