Many will doubt the 4A-C as they see it as being a Carb Fed Single Cam and this there is no hope of ever getting decent power out of this engine.........WRONG! A couple of years ago I had an AE82 with a 4A-C which after some very easy work was able to hammer a mildly worked 4A-G Twin Cam. In alot of cases it was able to beat most commodores up to the VN era even worked VK's. The best thing I loved about the AE82 is that nobody suspected it to go as fast as it did as I kept the standard mags on it and made it look standard (so the police wouldn't pull me over all the time). I would still have this car today if a commodore didn't drive up the bonnet as I was crossing an intersection going into work!! You can't win them all.....
