  1. Hi all. I have just fitted a 2c toyota engine into a portable sawmill, and although its stated torque is higher than the original perkins engine the toyota is struggling to cut in the big cuts. I have set the engine to run at 2800 its optimum torque range. The 2c originally came out of a bus air conditioning unit and I fear it may have been "depowered". Are there any suggestion on what to do to achieve more power. I have screwed the diesel screw in half a turn and that did seem to help (no exhaust smoke) but are reluctant to wind in anymore. Are the 2c and 2c-t engines the same and if so would I notice an increase in power if I bolted a turbo from a 2c-t on. Thanks for reading and I look forward to any ideas or suggestions Ross
  2. Thanks for your help Guys much appreciated. I have ditched the k4c motor and instead bought a 2c motor which I will ask a new question on as this link is a bit old now. Once again thanks. Ross
  3. Hi all I don't know if this is the correct place to post this topic if not I am sure you will advise me!! I am trying to identify a diesel engine I have recently purchase for the repower of a portable sawmill. The motors only identifiable markings are on the rocker cover and are "K4C 20238". It is out of a Mitsi bus and was an aftermarket addition for running the air con. I am after H/p and torque ratings at given speeds. Any help would be very appreciated Thanks Ross
