So it been a fair while. Most paint shops would be able to mix you up the original colour in acrylic, enamel or 2k. Ive seen export cans in auto barn that are colour matched...but that's just for dodgy touch ups really.

Cause i the car only came with the drive side door tread trim made a temporary one out of front and back 4 door treads...welded them with a soldering iron and some bit of chopped up plastic lol, worked okay. Its sightly shorter but will do fine for now. Had just put fresh paint on the welded together one pics And heres a photo of the car as it stands

Here some more pics...hope to get it on the road this week or next... Bumpers on, from windscreen is in as well now and bonnet on. I'm not happy with the paint on the bonnet so might rub it back and throw a few more coats over. Gave the boot a much need coat of paint to tidy it up (going to box it all in when i get the time) An overnight stay in some oxalic got these spic and span ( can't do much about the crack chrome but there better they are much better than they were) Rear seat, Fronts are in as well now...got all but the drivers seat in and realised id forgot to put the wires through for the rear light...oops. rear vent reconditioned Rear light...used slow recovery foam instead of gluing them on to seal them Seal for along the back of the bonnet with the best double sided tape Ive ever seen/used There it is This is how my front came...lots of wonderful primer overspray...Stanley blade and windex fixed that

Yup, thought that might have been the problem when I only had a couple hooked up. Bu they all light up. back, fender and bumper on either left or right side

Went to bleed the brakes today, the master cylinder pushed forward and jammed there haha...thought it looked okay, turn out there was rush on th bore up in there....off to the brakes shop in town tomoro to see if a stainless re-sleeve or just a newy of ebay is cheaper. Got my form screen in complete with chrome strips an all (that was fun. Have a Blinkers problem When i turn them on the don't flash at all. Anyone know whats that could be? (i assume the flash relay is broke???) And a starting problem After i took the master cylinder off i washed the area down in case id spilled some fluid....after that it wouldnt start....I'm not getting a spark at all. Plugs and wires all looks fine....bit lost on this one...an ideas??? I'm running a electric dizzy with internal igniters by the way

Almost done, might have some pics later, gotta put the front and rear windscreens in and cut the carpet at the doors. Can you still get the toyota mud flaps? i live on a dirt road so i need some sort of protection....any got pics of what i could do???? Cheers, Simon

Turn out i was only missing 1....I'm sticking the seals in anyway for 1 missing wont hurt... Cheers though

Does anyone know where i can get the metal clips that hold the rear side window seals in? I'm missing 3...dangit

So have a little progress, got back home on the weekend and spent today working on the car, i get tomoro and wednesday as well and then i have to start working. so todays effort included: -finish putting belt glass and bailey channels on/in the doors -put most of the front end together -had a bit of a sand whith 150 to get 2 runs out....gotta love 2pac paint -went to town an got some new locks and other bits heres some photos from about half hour ago New Solex lock, one in the drives door one in the boot, passenger is shaved the robber i used to get the front quarters to seal Rough old door cards with some butchered holes for speaker (wasn't me)and satin black spray paint....just to get it through rego, ill play around making my fancy ones when in the arvo after work the front end :-)

Awesome! Makes me want one in my ke...for now dreaming will have to do.

Had a bit of a scribble sitting at my desk...some ides for door cards. Planning to cut out the old Toyoda logo (or get some lazer cut) and put it under the vinyl to give a 3D logo.... any thoughts? my speakers are split (tweeter and woofer)

You could try wrapping a little teflon tape plumbers use around it, thats about all i can come up with other than the heavier spring you mentioned

uni finishes in 2 weeks, then ill be onto it, plan to have the car on the road within the first-second week of holidays, so would need some within the next month. The exhaust place might be able to get me some, he seemed pretty helpfull

Yeah i know what a 2 1/4 sounds like, mates got one on his ke25 3k, sounds nuts up the street everyone thinks some nuts car is about the smoke it up the road.....then the corolla comes round the corner at snail pace haha....however.....i do a lot of trips to Tamworth (bit under 4 hours drive) and its nice when you can hear some music over the sounds of the exhaust
