  1. hey guys wanting to chuck a new diff/ diff head in my ke20 as this one has shat itself. my question is what diff head will bolt straight to my original diff without taking it out or if i was to take it out what diff would bolt straight in for example would a kp60 starlet diff head bolt on or a ke30? any help would be much appreciated
  2. Hey guys I'm looking to put a 5 speed in the KE20 but i have been told that you can only use a starlet 5 speed and not a KE70 because the gear changer lever is futher back. is this true?
  3. same diff bro
  4. Intake 20mm Exhaust 30mm :)
  5. turns out it was the front carb....put a another carb on and now its overrated! now the rears can really spin :P
  6. bought the new dizzy cap and rotor, cleaned the plugs and swapped them. drove it home and the plug is fouled..... the reason i have the 3k dizzy is because i took it off my old 3k. when i bought the 4k it was only the engine and nothing else.. checked valve clearances on all cylinders and there overrated too... could it be my twin carbs? there original toyota k series twin carbs with matched porting to the cylinder head
  7. already had work done to the head. ported nd polished. I'm running a 3k coil and ballast resistor and also the 3k dizzy this shouldnt affect it though right?
  8. yeah hopefully will be the dizzy cap otherwise i have no idea. don't think its oil as it hasnt used any oil and the engine has had a recent full on rebuild...
  9. oh and have also done compression tests and leak downs and there overrated
  10. Hey guys my worked 4k aint firing properly on cyl 2. i hav swaped plugs around, got new points and condensor, new leads, checked valve clearances and set timing to 12 degrees btdc. all the other plugs are overrated but no 2 keeps fouling.i am gettin a new dizzy cap and rotor today to. what the shit is going on?
  11. checked all the basics like that. have done compression tests on all cylinders and even don leak down tests and its overrated. a mild grind cam shudnt affect manifold vacuum tho shud it?
  12. checked the timing marks on cam and crank and they line up. have used 2 different manifolds and the gaskets are new...
  13. yeah getting vacuum from the inlet manifold itself
  14. oh and it isnt the carbs as i chucked the single carb off my old 3k on it to check timing is overrated quite stumped really
  15. Hey guys just bought a worked 4k. it has a 270 mild cam, double valve springs, oversize flat top pistons, ported and polished head with toyota twin carbs match ported. Problem is that the engine doesnt have much manifold vaccum at idle and isnt running the best. any ideas? also can someone tell me what jet sizes i should b using for the carbs? the port sizes arnt huge but are quite big... cheers Brock
