Well 4k stock with twin 40s 4.5 aux venturis,28 chokes,105 mains,f11 e tubes,160 air correctors,50f9 idle,35 pump,28 chokes. Afairly worked 4k twin 40s 4.5 aux venturis,33 chokes ,120 mains,f16 e tubes,165 air correctors,45f9,idle,35 pump. So some where in between ,also need correct fuel pressure etc,this base setting to get the best out of them need to get it on a dyno :P rob

You can also use ae71 4ac mounts,but you have to cut the ke30 mounts off your cross member and reweld them. Fairly simple job really,works well. rob

Jazzy I'm in the middle of this converstion atm ,seriously budget at least 1500 to have it running in a 55. Celica gear box if its a ta22 you will need to change bellhousing ,but the shifter position is perfect for a 55. Engine mounts easyer to use ae71 ,and cut the 55 mounts off the cross member. Then start on the water system ,few different ways to do it but a real pain geting bits and pieces. I m sure people have done it cheaper but it does cost ,until you start youll see what i mean. Not trying to put you off the converstion just letting you no it will cost.(depending on how much you can do your self) I found a couple of good supplers of parts etc pm me if you need any help rob

Well i don't no so i copyed this from a pat braden book: If the acceleratorpump intake valve has no hole in it,it is an accelerator pump intake valve and no fuel is bypassed back to the fuel chamber. If the accelerator pump intake valve has a holein the side of it,its an accelerator pump intake /discharge valve because fuel is discharged out of this hole when accerator pump is activated. The hole in the side of the intake discharge valve is used to bleed off excess fuel or fuel required to accelerate the engine cleanly. Fuel leakage of fuel enrichment device,the problem usually applies to older well used cards .If fuel is found to be leaking out of the fuel enrichment device the following is the solution. With this particular problem there is no posssibility of repair and so ,as the fuel enrichment device is not necessary it is removed.Replaced with a plate of the same size. I guess they are talking about the choke here???. rob

Could be excessive fuel ,check float level and floats for fuel incase they have a hole in them. I would also check needle and seat,also check fuel pressure may be to much . rob

Great work ,I would be keen on the disy adaptor ,so you use k engine electronic disy with 4age drive cog?? Then i guess it would have to be spaced out a fair bit ,because of the lenght is lot longer than 4a disy. rob

2tc came out in ta22 celicas ,3tc came out in t18 ,and proberly lot more than them , But I'm not sure on others.

don't no if it helps but i had a ae71 cross member and the three holes for the gearbox mount where way off centre. can't check how much as ive sold it,but defently way off centre. rob

Electric pumps should be mounted at the back as they push fuel better than they suck,with a filter between tank and pump.

If your setting it up for dirt events don't go crazy making it to solid in the rear end (like fully sick drift spec) If it picks up wheels you not getting traction. Try comodore shocks and std springs to start with,if not happy go a extra leaf as they say. Front i only run xt130 coilover with 150 spring and shity old monroe inserts ,22mm sway bar,extented control arms (20mm) and new rally tyres. Its quite often to go to a rally and the guy tells you that he just spent 5gs on the motor 8 gs on suspension then bolts on worn out tyres :) rob

Depends how much you value your life .I d say spend as much as you can ,100 a tyre should get some think better than bj rubbish. Shop around should get a brand name tyre for that ,goodyear,bridgestone,etc. As the old guy at the tyre shop here allways asks how much did you spend on your cd player :) rob

You can run them with std fuel pump with a inline regulator.Better still run a electric pump and do away with mechanical pump. Remember dellortos ,weber only need very low pressure 2.5-4psi max or youll create problems. I m running a electric pump that is 3.5 psi and flows 70 litres per hour.(weber } Try nardek in sydney also stewart wilkins motorsport I'm sure there are many more . Factory regulator ,would only be what the fuel pump is pumping out,not a regulator as such .(correct me on this) Just remember fuel pressure is critical on these carbs. rob

Hi brad and welcome ,I'm not sure what you mean by off road but if its going to be a club car .I would suggest first make it safe ,proper seat and harness to start with. Depending if your going to rally it proper or just club events. Bolt in cage from bonds are about 1500. Once you have that done make it handle,then worry about engine last.There is more time to be made with good handling car than big power.{in club events anyway} The mighty 4k is a great motor to mod easy as ,exhaust 2inch ,oil no great preferance just do it regular,lights h4s,bonnet scoop don't worry about it . Flip the lid on air cleaner ,does sfa but sounds cool :hmm: A lot of good info on here and good blokes just do you home work and I'm sure youll get heaps of help. Have a good read of faq s heaps of info . rob

Daily car ,drift car not a good idea.Spend some money on the ke55 lower it nice wheels then enjoy it. Spend the rest of your money on purpose built drift car ,lot less hassel. Just my 2c worth.welcome to rolla club. rob
