  1. I see your problem ,have a look at the K&N site i no that they have some smallish type filters. They will also have the measurements .Which may or maynot help. Try K&N 56-1270 there 45mm x110mm x180mm
  2. I would say they look good ,but thats all would be totally useless in dirt and dust. May stop rocks or small birds . Try look at maybe smaller trumpets so you can get a good filter on ,maybe cheaper than a rebuild in the long run. rob
  3. Thats a buggar. Iooks like a big month in the wool shed coming up. Steve , Kieth,If you need a hand with any think or just need a hand for a weekend pm me. Just heard about the guy that had the big crash very sad news rob
  4. A general rule of thumb for clutch plate is, with the clutch removed hold it the clutch plate up to the fly wheel. If it sits flush with the fly wheel with out you springs hitting the fly wheel thats usually right way . Then turn it around it should sit badly and not flush ,this is wrong and bad. Most new kits have fly wheel side written on them. This a generally the case.
  5. Good luck guys :2thumbs:
  6. Check that the push rod on the clutch pedal is moving enough to push the master cylinder, also check how far the slave cylinder is moving. I f it seems to be working ok . It sounds like you will have to take the box out . A couple of things to check when you do 1:check which way the clutch plate is in it (maybe wrong way around) 2 Have a look at the clutch fork make sure its still seated on the pivot ball. 3 Check the thrust bearing still has the 2 small clips holding it on the fork 4 Also check that the clutch fork is not split (unlikely but has happened)
  7. I m with little red on this, they look very much ra40 to me. rob
  8. The dizzy you can use is k engine electronic from a 5k .But you have to make a spacer plate to move it out,as the shaft is a lot longer on a k dizzy . You also have to use your 4age drive gear. Pm trd70 on here regarding the spacer. The 4ac would fit but it turns the wrong way, which may or may not be changed i started to look in to this but have bigger projects atm. Third choice is a hyperpak from nz use to be on ebay for about $280 .These work well with your factory dizzy. rob
  9. Ha gold i love this thread ,should go for ride with Adam Kennedy or Gary Youmans one day and see how fast them cheater cars really go .....in the right hands there fast ,like squeeze your ass cheeks fast. . Then Keith can play with 4 wheels and 2 diffs (Sorry Keith)or add broken gearboxs . rob
  10. Well it will be a shit load better than 20 +year old oem. Mate it will be fine ,and will make a huge difference. rob
  11. To convert xt 130 to coil over you will need steering arms ,strut ,coil over kit ,spring .So theres maybe 500 dollars . Then you will more than likely have to replace the insert theres another 200. As you can see theres a pattern taking shape here. Go to the sponsors section and buy some lowered coils to suit your ke30 struts. Seems to be the cheapest way out. rob
  12. I wouldnt waste my money converting ke30 struts to coil over . Better off converting to xt 130 struts and get a free brake up grade. ke3# struts are weak s pi## wil bend like knitting needles with spirited driving. just my 2c
  13. Buggar about the puncher. So your going to pack up the bottom of the shock with some timber packers?? Thanks for the pics of internals ,they look good gear compaired to shit ive got. rob
  14. This is good .There was a simalar box on yahoo auctions in jap looks very much like what your ve done. This is great to watch its like frankenstein can,t wait till it comes alive. rob
  15. How did it go down there Keith.?? rob
  16. Head =smart Heart= money Simply really rob
  17. Will be watching this build ,nice start Seb . Colin i remember them cars running around seems like yesterday or the day before!!can't remember now. rob
  18. If you use a ta22 t50 the gear stick will be in the same spot as factory . If you use a later t50 the gear stick will come out about 17-20mm further back. The only problem with the ta22 box is there is a bit moding to get a 4a bellhousing on to it.(other wise it will piss oil every where) On the positive side the ta22 box will use the ke55 drive shaft. rob
  19. Fug me you are crazy sob. How you no all this stuff you do?? keep it up rob
  20. Nice work!! I bet that a lot of hours have been put in to get that far. Should go like a cut cat. rob :2thumbs:
  21. Yes i have used them ,with no issues. rob
  22. Retorque tamworth do them .I would ditch that messy centre bearing junk and get them to make you new one piece. The last one i had done was about 300. Which may or may not be expensive ,but its not some thing you want falling out at a 100ks.
  23. Nice work jimi ,love the rally car what sort of struts you running in that one??, The more events the better youll get, looks like theres some thing on down there every weekend. Good thread, keep up the driving. rob
  24. I ve done a few now ,with one of the tte flaring tools .It does take a bit of practise to get a good sealing double flare. The biggest trouble i had was getting very tight 90 degree bends with out kinking the tube. The cheap tube benders are just that, garbage. The other think is you must cut the tube dead straight to get a good flare. I'm no expert just what ive found by doing it my self. rob
