  1. JiP had it right about people not having anywhere safe to do these things, which I said in my last post, but in schools [at least the ones I went to] there is a driver education thing. At my old school it was an actual subject with two lessons per week called "driver education", I left before I was in the year they do it so I don't know what they actually teach, but I think it was just basically responsible driving strategies and what happens if you do something wrong, they set up a mock crash where they had like the car crashing and make up makingt he people in the car look badly injured, ambulances, firies etc. It was really good, i watched part of it a couple years ago [they do it out on the road at lunch time so everyone in school could watch it]. At my new school, because its especially based on studies [maths, history, etc so there's no PE, music or other subjects like that - art and drama is as crazy as it gets] we just had one hour-long mentoring session where a cop came in and told us stuff like safe strategies, what happens if you do the wrong thing etc, using photos and videos of crashes and all that. Schools do stuff like that, but it doesn't sink in to dickhead's brains. They do drugs and alcohol education things too and no one listens. If people are stupid enough to do these things in the first place these sessions aren't going to change their minds. They know what they're doing is wrong and dangerous, and that's why most of them do it. If preventing the problem fails, the only thing people can do is punish them.
  2. Yeah, and "bah bah rainbow sheep"? And some other name they came up with for fairy penguins! Drives me crazy!
  3. Yeah, I reckon the three strikes thing is good, only if they can be sure that the owner of the car was hooning. And Then stripping the car, recycling the good bits and destroying the performance parts. Or just taking out the performance parts and selling the car as it is without them, using the money to build tracks and stuff so they can race off the roads. Dickheads deserve to have their cars crushed if they're doing stupid stuff, but why waste a perfectly good car when someone else can use it responsibly? Just more trash to add to the rest of the mess on this planet. In Adelaide there's no public tarmac tracks where people can just race their cars or drift and have fun. Instead of improving AAMI Stadium [which really has no real need to be improved] they should spend the money on a track like that, in a safe environment away from the innocent people on our roads and so if they did come unstuck there would be paramedics or whatever there to help. It would stop most of the hoons from doing this on the roads. Ask a $20 admission fee, most people would pay it. Most of the people I know that drift and stuff on public roads say they wouldn't do it if there was a track to do it on. Makes perfect sense to me.
