  1. search for you answer mate, plenty of info out there.. short answers 1) yes 2) pretty sure it was a hiace or something similar (early toyota vans).. few kicking around on forums for sale every now and then.. wreckers.. price anywhere from a 6pack to 500 for a really tight one.. -bc
  2. heavier springs.. swaybars etc etc.. put mtr as far back as possible.. go to weigh bridge and get front and rear weights, install steel plates into the floor section at the very rear.. *cough* youd have a v8, whats a little bit of steel :) i have a pv chopped the roof off and was going to run a 4link from a sedan in it (was just going to cut the floor out and weld the whole section in so i get the links sitting in the right spot without too much *** around KISS and all that.. but if you had the desire/money, ive seen a few equal length sprinter 4link kits running around I'm sure you could weld on the mounts easy as just gotta have it all square (shouldnt be hard for a tradey) bags would look ace.. I'm almost a BMW, 3rd year and 3/4's hah.. i can smell the finish line :D cheers and good luck -bc
  3. hey i was tired, looked like a daihatsu charmant from memory the way the boot doesnt line up with the rear door sill.. but hey, i obviously know nothing. get bent cheers -bc
  4. Owner; Brian Cars name; ..none Engine; 5K Year; 1981 Model; KE70 Panelvan Vin; KE705041564 and #2 Owner; Brian Cars name; PROreJECT Engine; flintstone powah Year; 2/82 Model; KE70 Panelvan Vin; KE705050960 cheers -bc
  5. i think the 2nd picture you've posted is one of those thai/malay/some other place models, its a built by another car company using the styling of the corolla, for some reason daihatsu springs to mind, I'm probably off on the brand of the other company but its something crazy anyway.. the S badge on the front is a bit confusing thou, looks like sprinter badge but the car isnt a spoontah. You can tell by the way the rear of the rear door kicks back up on the window line to the boot height.. as apposed to the brown car.. which is the late model front end ke70/ae71 (they had this front end on some late ke's, ive had two like that, 1.3ltr slankyfront) cheers -bc
  6. nah sorry queen20v, i don't have a thread for my pv.. its just another yellow pv hah.. take it easy -bc
  7. rear windows look almost jdm pv.. (couldnt find a photo to compare, just going off memory) and just having cut out my rear windows and done something similar to what you have on your van.. i can say it's a pain in the arse.. i didnt use crazy seals thou :lolcry: looks overrated thou.. you basssstard. -bc
  8. just cut em, i cut 2 1/2 coils off on my pvan, rides better, doesnt bounce all that much as i thought it would.. if your replacing them anyway just chop em and see what you think for yourself.. -bc
  9. theres the occasional one up on ebay everynow and then (read once every 6months hah) go to your local exhaust shop, get them to make a J pipe coming from the std exhaust mani to the turbo.. problem solved.. apparently 3k pistons are go cams = your local grinder. -bc
  10. its been done a few times, just have a quick search for build threads in the projects/members rides area.. (hah! adam just beat me in the reply) id dare say you'd have to make custom mounts for the box and motor.. smash the sr's onto the 4a's and weld away, if the motor sits out the bonnet it doesnt matter, street cred  or, bolt in option; get a 4agze motor, remove the charger, buy a ebay manifold (or make one, or buy a *insert jap brand name here* manifold) bolt on t25/t28 dependant on your tolerance to lag, fit cooler, make pipes for exhaust / cooler.. upgrade injectors, turn boost up, drive to work with big grin talk to some importers for prices on cuts cheers -brian
  11. while I'm more of a fan of, keeping the old school old school, its good to see someone spending time and money on a e7, they are quite versatile cars and it just goes to show you there is always another avenue to take when mod'ing one.. -bc ps: see if you can grab some chrome bumpers and loose the stock ones, to me, you need to balance out the chrome wheels with something on the car if you know what I'm saying..
  12. haha your funny :y: can you be a little more specific about the smoke thats coming out? water or oil.. check your trading post for another 10$ 4k :hmm: -bc
  13. i have a kempi at work (I'm an aliminium boat building apprentice) i've an un-natural hate for it.. i'd rather have my old crusty ancient uni-mig back.. i can't remember what model number they are, but apparently around 6-7k to buy.. the place i work for (austal ships) bought 2 lots of around 50-60units then have just recently got a bunch of uni-migs in.. (which i was happy to see just quietly) the only wia's ive seen (all 2 or 3) have been kicked around the workshop for about 10 years and the guys that use them swear by them.. so there's an endorsment for you.. if you know what your looking at you can try some auction houses, i don't know if they still do but austal's would send they're old welders out to get auctioned out.. -bc ps: maybe you could get a tig welder for your panels and thing metal work and a heavy duty stick welder for your mounts and shit..
