Hi, yeah have small updates but have not been motivated to work on this all summer cos of lack of funds and being away for quite a bit of the time. I have however got the adjustables sorted out up front. I also have a full set of tires now and am going away to christchurch for the weekend in a weeks time so will get a second set of leaves and get them reset to finish back suspension. After that it will almost be ready for cert

Cheers guys. Still havent painted the centres, will get onto that tomorrow with some silver metallic spraypaint i got (only tempoary) until i can afford to get them powdercoated after i have done more important things. Yeah am thinking about flipping the center on the rears but will have to send them away to get polished by a pro if i want to do that. Slowly coming along. Have pulled starter motor out to test it and it seems thats working fine so will whip it back in and check the wiring plus add a few more earths to the engine.

Got 2 tyres fitted so threw them on the other day and finally got adjustables sorted so put one in tonight to see final height. Pics of when put two of the wheels on and testing height: Here is pics of the height it will sit at. got a pic with 17s on too for a laugh Still got to find 2 more tyres and sort starter motor as that has decided to pack up. Finally back from uni for the summer now though so should get most things done within a month fingers crossed

Have had adjustables made up now, just waiting for new shocks. Have been painted quickly by the guy who made them but will do them properley before i put them in the car. Here is a couple of pics of them Have had my wheels apart to get the centers sand blasted. The blasting was too rough for the wheels to be painted as it still shows up the imperfections the sandblasting has left so will be sending them away to get powder coated. I had one painted silver just to see how it would come up/look sliver. Think they will look the part. Have only had half of the centre painted but here is some pics to get an idea what they will come up like. Left side has been painted the silver ill be getting the done in and right side it just primer/experimenting Here the far side has been painted (can see where is painted and where is not)

Hey, thanks for the comments. No picture updates yet, have just got home for a couple of weeks so am taking the new wheels apart to get sandblasted and powdercoated and polished. Will give it another wash while I'm home and get some decent photos taken by someone with alot more knowledge of photography than myslef. Tried the wheel on the front without tires and looked pretty sharp. Thanks, Shaun

Ok, have finally got home for 3 weeks holiday so have taken out the centres of the new wheels to get sandblasted then powdercoated. Am unsure wheather to get them done in the same gold colour or maybe in silver? So any suggestions welcome. Thanks

Got some new wheels finally. 14's +8 offset. Got to sort what I'm going to do with the centre's, wheather ill got them painted same colour or not. May also possibly flip centres for the rear depending on how much they fill up the rear guards. (would get them polished obviously) Am also trying to find another set of struts to get adjustbales made up

Have got this thing going finally. Have not got side draughts or exhaust system on yet but just have 3k carb.... and pea shooter standard exhaust.... just until i can afford to get side draughts tunned/get back from uni next. Quickly took some pictures tonight before i leave home for another 10 months tomorrow. Still have big wheels on... but am still looking for some 13's/14's. Anyway here is a couple of pics Not very good but you get the idea.

Have also now got front and back windows in but am just waiting on the new locking strips to be put in. Put the 5k and gearbox in last weekend so its finally starting to go somewhere...

yeah wheels should suit it good with a clean up to the centres. they are 14x6.5 with offset of around +8 have not heard from him for a while though but they are in the country..... so hopefullly he has not sold them on me

alittle update. have got my extractors made up not and sidedraughts mounted up to the manifold.... but not propley yet. found a spare grill for $8 so i thought why not? also got some pics of when i decided to push it outside for the day. have painted up the brake lines and brake booster and are all back in now. would the admin of the forums be able to put the progect called Aa in here? was meant to reply to this post but did something wrong along the way.

oh ok must have just been what the first owner decided to have. yeah rear wiper.... was originally black but paint has come off a bit and polishes up real nice so ill get the rest of the paint off and polish it up maybe. or then again migt just get it painted black again... Ok i have never really taken much notice of the rear wipers on the ke36s over here but can have a look for a wiper switch if you want? there is one at a wreckers back home i could look at if you want?

i also added pics but accidentaly put them under a new project name: aa. not sure how i did that but i have so that where some more photos are. if the forum owner would be able to put them under list project update that would be appreciated.

yeah strap back door handles. came factory like this. has two moutning holes under the door card so i guess they just decided to use that strap style ones? i really can't work it out but they have been tho only ones ever on the car. yeah no back demister (maybe a nz new thing??) has no back demister switch... its just blank. am from new zealand.

ok have found how to do it. also remembered to put that now i have 25mm spacers for the back and got overrated bumpers now. front end is all together now apart from motor but have not got any pics of it and am away from home for another 5 weeks or so.

once i learn how to upload more at once ill put pics up of it after paint and the motor etc...

here is my 1978 corolla ke36. have owned it for almost 2 years now. got it off a second owner who had not had it long. has only done 60,000km... have worked 5k with twim 40mm side draughts still waiting to be put in as i have almost finished putting it back together after a fresh paint job. only things i have done is lower it 2" all round and rims. here is a few pics before i sent it off to get re painted. will add more photos once i figure out how to get more on at once...??
