Pulling A Ke70 5-speed's Gearstick Apart?
RainWarriorDregs replied to lanceishere's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
can't help you with the shifter assembly, but i know to get out the snapped bolt you can use a bolt extractor. i think one brand is "easyout". basically it has a reverse drill piece on it that drills into the broken bolt then you ease it the opposite direction with some multigrips to get the sucker out, i think if that makes sense. good liuck! -
alarm systems really arent that hard in an old rolla, i had minimal idea what i was doing and it went in fine, just get yourself alot of heat shrink and a good multimeter. Hahah. My tacho dash runs all out of whack, i put in an aftermarket one and it ran fine, stupid dodgy thing :S

i have the pedders low springs in my keto, they're excellent if you're looking for good balance and a good street height for some drifty. but if you want LOOK AT ME amounts of lowness then they aren't for you. i often get told by my import mates i need moar low. i like em, they look respectable and they are practical
-
oh man, i was happy as larry to take to my car with a angle grinder, but now all i want is my rusty rolla back, not a void for the last 6 months of it being off the road dammit :D

i've used that VHT vinyl dye in navy blue and it looks the tits, make sure you mask everything well tho coz that shit is toxic. good luck!
-
yeah sounds like a seized started motor. you can't really do anything about it besides replace it or maybe get it refurbished. mine wasn't working and i found out there was no starter motor relay in the fuse box, just a wire connecting the terminals, DODGY!
-
strapping a 32/36 to your engine isn't going to make it go all that faster. i reckon a set of extractors would be better investment of money. buuuuuuuuuuttt.... a 32/32 i think it is is ideal according to a few people, i have a 32/36DGV that goes pretty good, but then again, i have some other stuff done aswell. webers are pretty easy to find and clean up yourself, good luck!

quad lights only go on with the fenders, radiator brace, front bumper and beaver panel from a flat face rolla. the kits go for around 400US. chrome bumpers probably bout 200 bucks each with end caps and all that jazz. its alot of work and money but it looks sweet!
-
i don't mean to make you sound idiotic, but is there a little valve off the bottom of the weber that just hooks up to the vacuum advance tube. on my 32 36 there's one. maybe take pics of carby??

dope, numberplate fuel cap ftw!!!
-
i've put central locking and an alarm in my car, it was off ebay. Not a full cheap-o one but it does the job. Two stage imobiliser, kill switch blah blah. Bitch to wire up tho, you gotta know what you're doing. but yeah nay of these things will work, good luck!

Can Any Body Help Me Going To Turbo Ae82 4age
RainWarriorDregs replied to burnoutman's topic in Automotive Discussion
ok, i'm not one to flame, but i'll give you a few tips. 1. Grammar: if people can read what your post says they may be more willing to give you a hand. Full stops and commas are your friend. 2. Rims: lose them. 3. Sell your AE82 and buy a KE :) Anyway, try your question again. Then you might have some luck. Anyways good luck with the build!! -
hmm.... how are you going to put fuel in it, i'm curious aswell :)

Show Us Your Driveway !!!
RainWarriorDregs replied to JJT036's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
currently got sitting in front driveway - S13 Sil-80 - Series 1 S14 200sx (lives here) - S15 200sx - 2 Ti R31 Skylines (live here) - 2 Ke70s (live here) not all owned by people in this house but its quite a collection sometimes haha -
there about 35 - 45 bucks from any parts store. i got mine for 40 but its a haynes, which isn't really as descriptive as the gregories and covers a wide range of era of the ke70. Mine is primarily for the late ke70 which sucks balls coz all of the interior and stuff is different, but most of the wiring and engine components and stuff are exactly right.
-
yeah i did this is a day or so, i didn't replace the radiator support, i just made up some custom brackets and welded them onto the headlight surrounds. It really isn't that hard if you're handy with a socket wrench and a welder. But be prepared to deal with some rusty bolts and stuff unless you've got yourself a schmick keto, mines in pretty good nick, but every single damn bolt i seem to come across was rusty, ahah. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=31138 check that thread ^^ if you have problems wiring in the indicators that a positioned on the headlight assemblies. i just welded a plate into where the side indicators are coz i don't really like the look of them. but i'm assuming you'd be able to jerry rig some power off the from indicators to activate the side ones but i'm no auto electrician, just a backyard basha :jamie: good luck bro, i am also one for the flat face, but i'm probably going to do a quad headlight conversion FOUR FOR THE WIN!

but does that mean i would be losing vacuum pressure back into my charcoal cannister, coz assumably the pressure coming from the vacuum advance would be more than that of the pressure coming from the charcoal cannister, and air always goes where there is less pressure, hence screwing with my advance timing? or did i completely misunderstand what you just said? :jamie:
-
i donät think so, all there is on it is the timing advance one, can't remember the name. no other ones at all
-
20v 4a would be easier than a sr20 wchich runs better than a ca18, buuuuuuuuuuut thats my experience from silvias. from what i've been told, and i'm not expert like felix, but a 3236 on a stock 4k really isn't going to give you much more go than a decently cleaned stock Aisin (or whatever they are) carby. if you wanna get any go at all, a set of extractors and a new exhaust system wouldn't go astray. as for the cam, i just went to http://www.tighecams.com.au/COROLLA3K.htm and have a look at what benefits you want ie top end, low end etc etc. i thnk the tighe 104 is the most popular but once again, i'm new to all this. good luck bro
-
i just spliced off the power for my head deck then run a missile switch for awesome-o interior LED action. probably not the best way, you wanna put a fuse in there somewhere.
-
i've never found anything interesting, but when i bought my ke70 it had a r31 skyline jack in it that didn't really suit my car, my good mate moved in and bought a r31 skyline and the thing had a ke70 jack in the back of it, ha. tore my carpet out the other day and found a really really old ford key smashed into the floor pan actually.

really? i heard differently from a heap of people. whats the best, i put penrite in there. hpr30 i think. not good?
