  1. Certified Crew end thread.
  2. read http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?tit...a_tough_K_motor
  3. yeah, i've got a spacer in there, i must've found the only one ever stocked in Townsville haha. they just keep shitting out on me and its been bugging me for a while. one time i had to jump start the car becuase the battery was buggered and i looked down at the pump and it was flowing ALOT of fuel onto the engine block haha.
  4. i have lost it a couple of times due to the content of the last few videos hahahahha good stuff nicely played
  5. heres something to think about the exterior strips put on cars from factory are help on with double sided tape
  6. wait, what? shopping trolly strips? but yeah like Taz said, you can get hard core double sided tape for this
  7. Doug i completely respect everything that you have to say about these cars coz you've helped me out a few times here, and given me some EXCELLENT advice  but i have the same problem as phil-keto. i keep replacing the mech pump and it keeps leaking fuel all over my block! thought if i'm spending the money on rebuilding the engine and spraying the engine bay and generally cleaning the sucker up i might as well spend 100 bucks on elec fuel pump. A reconned or new mech item would cost me that much anyway wouldn't it?
  8. i don't quite understand? whats fouling on what?
  9. mmm... i see. yeah i don't know where i got the thought of a pump in the tank, might have misread something while looking through my workshop manual. i'm still learning about the fuel system  but now i know that the mech pump does it all. ok, so i'm looking for something with 70gph at around 7psi. Holley and Carter are what i should be looking at ay? ok sweet. from the research i've done in the last 20 mins, it seems the Holley red is 95gph, is that too much of a jump? whats like the +/- with fuel flow that the carby can take? i might look into these carter jobbies. might be able to get a deal. the carter green is the 4070 right? i'll grab some prices tomorrow. thanks guys
  10. low pressure supply to carby i already have a lift pump in the tank right? (please be right so i don't look like a douche) haha i'm rebuilding my engine, it will be running a 32/36DGEV (no choke), mild cam (unknown at the moment, maybe a tighe104, i've been in contact with tighe cams) 4-1 extractors, free flowing exhaust and reconned head. so pretty much i just wanted to replace my mechanical fuel pump.
  11. I was under the impression that to run a blow through set up you needed to run a pressure box around the carby? or wouldn't running a pressur ebox minimize the chance or imploding your carby? don't hold me to it, but thats my 2 cents. i'm an atmo man good luck tho, and this  :(
  12. yeah probs about 50 to 100, if its immaculately clean and runs super then maybe 150
  13. Taz? Anyone?
  14. well, he said that he wouldn't use a facet one to replace the mech one. he also said to find one that flows 20% more than the mech one to be safe. now i've found this pump. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT and the guy from ebay says it would be good for my application instead of a noisy facet fuel pump. the other pump i found was this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT but if its going to be noisy i'd spend the extra 10 bucks for the other one now my questions are: 1. What type of flow specs do i need from a elec fuel pump? (will 70L per hour be enough?) 2. Can i mount it in the engine bay? 3. Which one should i choose?
  15. bringing back an old topic, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut if i put a facet electric fuel pump in my car, so i run it in line with the mechanical fuel pump? this is what i've been told by a mechanic mate. now i thought the whole reason of getting an elec fuel pump was the get rid of the mechanical one? can anyone clear this up for me please. cheers
  16. oh yeah, you'd need the supporting exhaust, cam, headwork mods to run two carbs
  17. http://cgi.ebay.com/TOYOTA-COROLLA-3K-4K-5...=item4cee9014ae thats a twin sidedraught weber manifold for a 3-5k. now all you need is 2 sidedraught webers and linkages. ebay is your friend
  18. i got some badges, PM me
  19. mine does that sometimes, and when changing from high beam to low beam the lights cut out. i think its dodgy connections in the steering column around the indicator stalk. i thnk
  20. i've got a workshop manual. i'll have a look. last time i remembr looking in it it didn't have too much good info, its the crappier one of the two, i think its a haynes, not a gregories. or the other way around. not sure.
  21. sooo.... don't wanna hijack, but i'm not sure if OP knows how to do this, but i sure as hell down, how do i check my float level? and what should it be at? same question about the power enrichment valve :)
  22. i'm kinda having this same sort of problem, i just changed my distributor and sparkplugs and did my timing and now it farting and gurbling all over the place. and i can put my foot flat and it takes a few seconds to actually start building revs. i'm thinking my carby is f@$ked or over fueling. going to put another one on this afternoon, see if it does the same thing
  23. 2 questions 1. Why put in an aftermarket tacho when it already has one? 2. Did you put your steering wheel on upside down?
  24. yeah mate, you're better off putting the time and effort into the 5k rather than the 4k if you're going to put the 5k in in the long run anyway.
  25. Rubbish. You can do what you want. However, it will not increase power or anything. All it does is make your engine howl, it was sweet for novelty value, charging past people in third gear at 5500rpm and watching them shit, but other than that... its useless. haha
