You're not going to build a turbo motor for $1200, well one that will hold together anyway. Is not a bad idea to take Mick's advice and purchase a complete bolt in package from Kevin. I put a 20v in mine as I got a cheap halfcut. Post what you're planning on doing suspension and motor wise. Are you doing all the work yourself? PS Mick the bigport in my 71 is rebuilt and running so will def be there for the next cruise :(

It's all well and good to justify your actions but the law is the law - it's not open for discussion. It's put in place to protect the majority from the minority. His tastes obviously differ from your own and he took it upon himself to try and belittle you for it. Are they hub centric bolt on spacers or just slip ons? Can you not run a wider diff?

If you've got a money tree the possibilities are endless. The smart choice is 4AGZE or 20v if you want the least amount of hassles and the most bang for your buck. KEB11N on Toymods has a GZE powered one. I saw his and found out more about them and bought mine and put a S/T 20v into it. Has been my daily driver and snow and back hack for almost 6 months now and hasn't missed a beat. Excuse the crappy photo Kevin's car and how awesome they can look with a 2 tone paint job, dark tints, dropped (his is on bags) with rims. I'd recommend going and signing up with a few different sites (toymods, twincam.org etc) and searching searching searching.

Camber tops if you want them. Strut brace Nolathane bushes all around. Depends what you want to do with the car really. My stock suspension is pretty stuffed. I can stand on the towball and bounce it to the bump stops (73kgs) so will be getting new short stroke shocks and springs to suit eventually. At a guess I would suggest maybe 8/6kg spring rates? Best of speaking to a decent well known suspension shop especially if you're not keen on doing the work yourself. Pedders will may have no bulls but they know how to charge like them as they're trading off the name. $1400 is not massive price but is for bottom of the range Pedders gear.

Damn I know you said it was clean but this thing is ridiculously clean :yes: Beat you in the mileage stakes mine had 415 when I got it but it shows it compared to yours. One of the better colours you've got too. Dark tints (as in 5% on all the back windows 15% on the front 2) and a black roof/bonnet improves the looks ala Kevin's car. Take the little plastic strip off the bonnet that's above the grill as well ;)
