  1. Just reading through it now, what's the compromise Sam Q? I'm considering ripping the 20v out of my 95 and putting it in the 71. Is it worth all the hassle and cost? Keeping in mind the 16v in it now was rebuilt <5000kms ago and fully balanced. Bit hard to judge having never been in a RWD 20v powered car...
  2. Mine's coming off the road sometime this year or early next for it but as you said, only because I plan to never sell it. Grant Scott's car would have to be one of the best examples in Aus.
  3. LOVE IT!!! Australia needs more 70s/71s with good paint and panel work!
  4. Did someone say 20v? I'll just leave this here... http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=40690
  5. It'll get posted in this (NSW) section once it's announce PSST Mick where are ya? Here's a few of previous threads with pics and wrapups: - Natio night cruise - http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=39245 Kurnell - http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=30096 Palm beach - http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=35654
  6. The RadRollaz boys have one every few months. Should be due for the next one soon.
  7. Anything will fit into anything with enough work  Have a look at them when you get them and see what you can cut out of the base. If they're anything like the 00 rexxie seats I have in my 71 they're going to sit high unless you hack the bases up. For those I ground the standard rails off and welded em on with a bit of square tube up under the corner that wouldn't sit flat.
  8. Mine's going on ebay in the next couple of days if you're interested.
  9. Is it the same colour as my car? If so don't hate 7shades and others, I've grown to love it  ;) :D

  11. I've got a compression tester and what's wrong with your engine? I only really started playing around with cars in the last few years and admittedly have a couple of mates that help me out but just get in and have a crack. I've found most mechanics these days are by the whole lazy, full of shit, and you pay for the privledge of them doing a half arse job and lying to you. Not to say that there isn't some gems around, just had a LOT of bad experiences so I picked up tools. Want something done right, you better do it yourself :D
  12. Post a thread a week or two before and you should get a few people.
  13. Beaten by Taz. If you don't back of the throttle it won't like coming out of first. Dunno if it would with some muscle. Try and let us know? I drove a 90s model 626 around for nearly 2 months with no clutch. Loved it! Key off, first gear, turn key off you go. Once I fixed it I sold it cause it was no fun to drive anymore :D I got my 20v wagon home when the clutch went but haven't really driven it much clutchless cause well, it's a 4wd gearbox and I don't want to stuff it missing shifts.
  14. It's refreshing to see a standard/concourse style user on this site. Cars look great mate! Geez that 4acs thirsty. I get about 7.5l/100 out of my bigport 4age and it cops a hiding here and there ;) You shouldn't need a website to work it out either. Just move the decimal place in your kms two places to the right. EG: 38 litres - 530kms 38 / 5.3 = 7.16l/100km I do it on my phone every time I fill up :D
  15. Yeah there's no way you'll crack pistons or anything Come back in 6 months if it's still running.
  16. 15psi into a stock 4age bottom end?
  17. AE95s run a T series rear in 4x100 Might be easier to hack and weld all the 91 panels on :rolls: Mine's for sale with a 20v already in it :D
  18. Looks pretty neat mate. Yes you can put a GZE into one. Good luck finding a motor or halfcut cheap though. Look out for mine on eBay soon, needs to go :rolls:
  19. Do you mind sharing how you do this? Is it a brand new outer you can buy somewhere or do you match up second hand ones? I've got some 15x6.5 +20 WEDS that would be much nicer in 15x8 :rolls: Car looks awesome, any non-crappy phone pics?
  20. I did a 20v conversion and know a guy with a GZE one and the consensus is you have to drop the motor and everything out the bottom, lift car over motor and then take the box off. If you're feeling energetic and want to do another one when you're done mine's for sale with a bunk clutch :blinks:
  21. Any updates mate?
  22. What made you buy another 4afe? :P Sorry can't offer anything constructive. My 4afe went straight to Simsys.
  23. Tell me about it. My conversion took about a week for the mechanical side of things and another 3 for a mate and I to figure out the wiring
