Hey guys time to pull finger and get this thing on the road.. so I'm in need of some new rear shock absorbers, they will be mounting to a hilux rear end (diff end shock mounts have not been fabricated yet) so if this widens my range of options then I'm all up for suggestions currently the car has been lowered a good 2-3"s from factory (reset leafs and blocks) and could be going for another 1-2"s lower so will note this if this will effect what to get/do cheers guys morgz

well its been a while since i updated this thread and a fair bit has gone down.....so to cut a long story short, the engine didnt run to plan so decided to rebuild and further upgrade the setup car is now going to be running a 20v 7AGTE, fully forged bottom end with slight work to the head. motor is now built but theres still a few bits yet to be modifyed before it gets back into the car. heres a few pics of the new engine and new bits for it

thought i better update this, car has been very slowly getting worked on over the last 12 months due to me working away from the car but things a finally starting to pick up now that i have some time and funds. Exhaust, plumbing, feul system, brakes and suspension are all done. heres a few recentish pics from towards the end of 2009 i took, will have another update in a few weeks after the dyno tune!!

well heres mine, got them quite a while back now (i think mine were the first 4a ones endevour eng. made as they mocked them up off my standard pulleys) anyway still hanging out to hear them, not long now :y:
-
looks like i started a popular trend with the 4age gilmer pulleys :y:
-
any good engineer should be able to do it, as long as you have a standard set of pulleys to work off and make sure you get the offsets etc all right.. otherwise heres the details for the guy i got mine off Endevour Engineering & Tooling LTD 6 B Newton St Mt Maunganui 0-7-572 0240 New Zealand ask for allen

hoping to run about 18-19psi, see what happens when i get it dyno'd though, as for power figures I'm not too sure what to expect but will be happy with anything close to or over 200kw atw

some nice racetech 100series for the front, bit large but il make em fit :eatlead: also have had one the underbody resealed and the new front mount, sized to fit in behind my valence perfect 8)

how much was your intercooler and where can i get one? also was anything cut to fit it? cheers

not sure man, they cam with the car engines what you see in the picture, all internals are standard as the ze internals are strong enough to handle plenty of boost as they are, head is standard at the moment but will be getting worked later down the track. the cost can depend, the set up you see in the picture has had about 6000 spent on it, including the purchase of the block etc.

if you look on the outside of that panel theres a chrome vent (may be painted), now I'm not really sure what I'm talking about but its a theory, i think it just creates an airflow accross the rear window helping it stay clear from fogging up etc, someone can correct me if I'm wrong though. And the reason there isnt one on the other side is because if the 2 door KE20s are anything like the 4 door ones the feul cap is located underneth.

hey mate, unsure of the exact number but i know there front wheel drive offset and 4x100 stud pattern so I'm running 25mm spacers/hub adaptors allowing them to fit, yep they clear the strut sweet (aprox 10mm from memory)

rims are 16x7" ROH Zs

nah mate, just accross the ditch though :( I'm in New Zealand saw your KE20 looks like an awesome sleeper, loving it i think those ones are series 4/5 rx7 ones but yeah they look prety much the same as those :)
-
cheers mate havent got round to fitting the new brakes yet but they are next on the "to do" list, gonna modify my struts and fit adjustable sleeve kits to them and fit a set of FD3s (series 6) rx7 4pot calipers and rotors to the front, that should give me all the braking power i need as there not exactly small brakes lol
-
spot on mate, turbo is a s4 rx7 turbo thats been rebuilt and hi-flowed, shaft and core were used and all internals where replaced, new wheels bearings etc, guy who rebuilt it makes all his own castings/housings etc so the comp cover and exhaust housings are all custom cheers for all the comments guys keep them coming and let me know any ideas ya may have. cheers
