  1. bit that bolts to the steering arm. and spindle/lca
  2. Get the knuckles to us and we can mod them up. Our knuckles offer extra lock with less turns lock to lock :)
  3. No my steering doesnt bind. i modified corona lca's because i didnt have enough camber ;) s13 lca's are heaps longer also. Yes an alignment is needed, though i havent had one just did it by eye and its working well. I do have bump steer issues being so low but hey it looks and goes good :)
  4. Easiest is lock spacers, but for lots of lock we modded the knuckles on my car and lengthened the lower control arms (for more camber). I now have rediculas amounts of lock when sliding.
  5. Not going quads going to rep the squares and Get new lights all round. :)
  6. Oh and ive got my Chrome Bumpers on now!!
  7. lol. no no no. because if i didnt lengthen them as well as the lca's id have massive toe out and not enough arm to adjust the toe. And with my knuckles ive got more lock with less turns ;)
  8. or if your a cheap kent get the Rota copies for $770 :P (te37v)
  9. just for future reference i run a 14x7.5 -10 on the rear with a 175/65 (going a 165/65 next) nice stretch and sits perfect.
  10. Apparently according to exedy there are 2 part numbers for clutches in the KE70...
  11. The pipe sticking out with the thick gasket is for the PCV. this needs to be hooked up to the PCV on the engine (head).
  12. Think i'll make this one :D should have my new bumpers on by then :P
  13. Went to the JDMST meet friday night at the last minute. Just waiting on my Chrome bumpers to arrive and its pretty much done...
  14. sounds like a 4kc :P mine without a thermostat had a hesitation down low. with the thermostat replaced (old one had fallen to pieces) the car gets up to temp and the hesitation has disapeared.
  15. back pressure.
  16. So its been awhile. Finally finished repairing the rear end of the KE so thats now back together. Dropped the car off to Wilson Carbies so old man John could work his magic which he did. Weber carby is now working nice and smooth. Fixed a few issues i didnt know about (wiring, timing, vacuum lines etc) + i replaced the thermostat (as it was in 5 pieces when i opened it up. Ordered a new set of the chrome bumpers and I'm buying a set of old second? hand ones but they come with brackets so i can use them when the new ones turn up. Decided on not going quads, makes it look like a wannabe Datsun 1600  (no offence spencer :P) Took the car out for a test on sunday... It passed :) heavy duty clutch is needed. Stock clutches don't like constant clutch kicks too much
  17. Ebay. search forsales etc.. back on topic. opened up the thermostat and it was in 5 pieces no wonder it wasnt working lol. Chucked in the thermostat out of my old ke and it runs even better now that the engine gets up to temp. took it out sliding yesterday and it went really well(except the clutch is on its way out now :( ) going to order a hd exedy for it.
  18. blow it out and have a look. as for storing just clean it and keep it free from moisture so it doesnt rust.
  19. Yeh through a carby kit through it should help fix some stuff.
  20. Looking at getting a cam grind for my 4kc 32/36 dgv weber 4/2/1 extractors 2" exhaust looking for good power throughout, without having to upgrade too much gear (straight drop in etc) Tighe want $195 for a regrind :S any suggestions? I'm thinking the 113 by tighe? or is wade or crow a better cam to get?
  21. We cut and shut and extended my corona lca's  worked a treat. also cut and shut my knuckles for extra lock also. love driving/drifting this car now :D So you could just cut and extend your lca's and steering arms if you can't find any corona wrecks.
  22. was going to say thats normal they don't have any power lol. check to see if carby isnt blocked (open it up and have a look as they billed up grime and deposits in the bowl and jets easily get clogged. also flush it with carby cleaner.
  23. Got the car back had abit of work done to it. Timing was out past TDC, Coils booster thing had wires around the wrong way. once it was changed this made it idle better and created a better spark, vacuum line needed a restrictor in it, played with jets ended up using the ones i provided. main problems now are thermostat not opening fully (i'll have this replaced on the weekend)as temps are staying too cold, and the carby not having a choke on it (at all), I'm going to hook something up see if it helps turbulance for the venturies. Car feels alot better now. no power house but what do you expect from a 1.3ltr
  24. Yeh will do. hanging to drive this again...ordering my chrome bumpers today for it also :)
